Architecture of Buffalo

Buffalo is an architecturally beautiful city. I love the old buildings of brick and steel. The new buildings of glass and steel add charm. Frank Lloyd Wright's master, Sullivan was one of the architects that contributed to the design of City Beautiful.

Architecture is not just function but form as well. It is at it's most basic art for the people. A painting can be sequestered in a private gallery but not so the wondrous skyscrapers and churches of Buffalo. In the late 19th century the men who lived and worked in this community celebrated their success sharing the delight of these creations, a tradition that goes on till today.

Some cities seem like walking in warehouses of human sardine cans. Here though everywhere one looks there's another feast for the eyes. I loved walking about Buffalo. The architecture was so uplifting.
