Morning Thursday

Madigan walk was very pleasant today. I saw a buffle duck on the river. The cedar and fir was greener with spring. The air was fresh. Blue sky and sunshine. A robin stood on a bush near the path chirping. Madigan pooped. 

Then he was keen to get back to Laura whose been off work this week and staying with us. She spoils him with treats.  I’m happy with the company. 

I thought this is the first day of a new year. My birthday was full of greetings and I was thankful for the people I know. I feel isolated then realize I’m part of a community despite lockdown.  I found myself thinking of travel. Wanting to return to Ireland, Italy, Ethiopia, Israel, St. Petersburg, Turkey. I even thought I’d like to go to Paris for the Louvre. I was there once but didn’t want to wait in line so instead went to the Eiffel Tower. Now I love Museums and art galleries and long to return to New York to see the Klimt again.  I just loved the Winter Palace and the Rembrandt.  

The lockdowns and the restrictions on travel have had me desiring that which I almost took for granted.  The limitation on travel was money and desire. Mostly I like to go camping. I’ve invested a fortune to live like a homeless person.  This year a new quad and a new puppy are the exciting draw.

I talked with a beautiful young Chinese girl who had graduated her Bachelors in Travel and Hotel. 

« Like getting a Water assessment degree in the middle of a desert, » I said. 

She sadly said, ‘yes, that’ why I’m still working at the market.’  

‘Things are opening up, » I said. « Cruise ships booking.  Taiwan restoring business travel.  Texas and Mississippi dropping restrictions.  Your degree will land you a great job.Soon everyone will be wanting to travel this year and next. I wanted to go to Aberdeen this year and had to cancel conferences. Laura and I would love to go to Venice. »

 She laughed.  Hopeful.

So many young people hit by lay offs and the economy set back. Trudeau completely self absorbed and irresponsibly not ensuring vaccines in a timely way.  We’re 6 months behind in getting vaccines.  Our economy is staggering under the stupidity of Trudeau while thankful Mr. Horgan and Mr. Dix locally have been doing a magnificent job despite the national failure.

I’m hoping the churches will open. I did enjoy the judge saying he couldn’t comprehend how Dr. Bonnie Henry could think an hour or two in the pub watching a game and having a couple of pints was any more safe than attending communion. He’s right. She’s wrong. This whole covid debacle politically has been a communist religion of aetheism attack on Christians and Buddhists and Jews and Hindus.  Sex stores , pot shops, gambling vendors and booze services are all open and called ‘essential’ but place of faith are closed. That’s communist thinking. Communism is the religion of aetheism.  I’m a theist. I believe in God. L’Chaim. Life is good. The good is God . 

Communism worships the STATE.  There is no truth in Satan. There is no truth in addiction. The multicultural postmodern world is a subjective state of power. Truth  is subsumed by the bully.  I like truth.  I like love and compassion. I don’t like drugs and booze.  

I’m blessed to have a home, indoor plumbing, electricity, running water, hot and cold. I rode the Vespa to get the mail yesterday and to drop off letters for the clinics and pharmacists.  It’s a joy to be able to ride a motorcycle all year. I think of the east and wonder about losing that.  I wouldn’t mind ski doing again though. I like vehicles. I’m probably a kid that way. Cycling was my joy as a child and to this day I love wheels.

I mediated this morning. It was good. Seeking God within.  Holy Spirit come.  

Madigan takes my sitting on the floor as his que to get a back rub. Before I can do exercises I have to thoroughly pet him. What a little cuddle bug! He sleeps in the bed beside me or between Laura and I or by her. It’s like he apportions the night to get a share of us all.

Covid 19  June 2020  what I believe now.

1. Virology 101 - There are little organisms of rna that spread as parasites hitchhiking around the world on more complete entities, like human cells. They are smaller than bacteria. They are good and bad and neutral.  

2.  Covid 19 was a virus that was definitely in the Wuhan Virology Lab.  It was being studied there.  The scientists who initially said it couldn’t be from the lab were lying. The best knowledge to date says that they, including the infamous Communist ‘Batwoman’, were studying the process whereby a bat virus changes from being species limitted to being able to infcct humans.  This knowledge could lead to prevention, treatment and the development of bioweapons. Most authorities consider that this virus was not a bioweapon though no one knew this in Jan.  The virus began to infect people in Wuhan through coughs in December 2019.  The Communist Chinese Party and it’s military began lying and covering up the nature and origins of the virus.  The first great lie was the ‘wet market’ source. Half those who fell ill had no association with the wet market which didn’t sell bat food.  For 6 weeks the Communists could have stopped the virus in Wuhan but instead lied and included WHO in the spread of deceit and misinformation until mid January. This included the killing of doctors.  

3. As late as February the question if this was a lab created virus, something which could have been utterly lethal, remained uncertain.  The Chinese had paid millions of dollars to leading world researchers to publish misinformation.  Leading Nobel Prize Winning scientists said it was indeed a Chimera and that Fucin cuts in the code of the spike on the Cora virus which attached to ACe2 would not have occured naturally,. Natural development was most UN likely. It was highly difereent from it’s nearest relative.  Communist China has broken all the international laws regarding human and animal studies and experiments.

4. Given the uncertainty and the evidence that Italy’s health care system, one of the finest in the world was overwhelmed, a lock down occurred around the world to slow the spread of this virus. The simple formula that came out of Italy was that as an example 1 in 10 people over 80 would die if infected with Covid 19 but still had access to hospital and ICU. Without hospital and ICU the majority of 80 infected people (or with other major risk factors) would die.  The lockdown made medical and scientific sense given the lies of the Communist Chinese Party and Cover up and the WHO collusion.  (No different than the political machinations in Canada with Red Cross and HIV positive blood supply that killed hundreds). We still don’t know the long term consequences of this virus that is new and likely a chimera, the first of it’s kind to infect the human race. I don’t question the leaders about the lockdown at this point despite the horrible economic ramifications.  Most people in the western military perceived this as the latest Communist China ‘unconventional warface tactic’ extensively discussed in their military journals.  Think tanks in America estimated 1-2 million daeths in the US by July.  The WHO began saying that the death rate was very high 2.5% or some such thing.  The WHO has a recent history of self promotion, fear mongering and misinformation thought to be an attempt at gaining more funding. Who knows? Most world leaders erred on the side of caution.

5. Sweden did not. They quarantined the old and at risk.  Their numbers despite their radical departure from the western general approach ,after Italy , showed more early deaths than Norway but no greater deaths than Great Britain which did a full lock down.  The data from Sweden was most informative despite the leading epidemiologist later saying he felt that an intial lockdown would have been a better approach. The Sweden choice will not be truly comparable scientifically  for a year. 

6. Cruise ships full of elderly and at risk people were quarantined and we had a lab culture experiment in which only a third of the ship became ill and 2/3’s exposed to the virus remained well.

7. Asian democracies, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Japan all excelled. If this was a world hockey tournament Taiwan would be the all time winner. The WHO, no longer a medical or scientific organization, but a lucrative political entity eventually bought by Communist Chinese military  for a measly 2 billion dollars, claimed to speak authoritatively about Covid 19 but refused to listen to Taiwan because Communist China doesn’t like , Taiwan the Republic of China, the last democracy beyond the military domination of the imperialistic Communist Chinese Party. Communist China  had invaded and genocided Tibet years before, , and was now using the Covid 19 to silence, arrest and break all international agreements with Hong Kong that had been a million person revolt before the Communist Chinese released the virus and invaded Hong Kong with overwhelming police., reenacting Tieanemen Square. 10,000 Chinese troops invaded India last month  which it had previously attacked and had waged war with only decades before. . Imperialistic world dominion seeking Communist China  This spring at the height of Covid began increasing its military presence in the China Sea, sinking Vietnamese boats and building up military across from Taiwan. The US has moved carriers to counter the deployment of 2 Chinese carriers as well as moving Destroyers and fighter jets into the region to counter the Chinese agression.  India is also mobilizing a response to the Chinese attack increasing rail and road movement for troops into the region China has invaded.

8. Taiwan to Covid 19 is like Goretsky to Hockey.  Ironically WHO and even Justin Trudeau refuse to talk or discuss the foremost success story. Taiwan, following age old public health principles, closed the border and airports to China early Jan along with Singapore.  Canada by contrast was the last of the western democracies to close the border to China and had thousands of Chinese from the Wuhan region flying in to Canada as late as late March perhaps April.  When provincial authorites asked that the international airport in Vancouver be closed to Chinese flights, the National Public Health Doctor, Dr. Tam , called the Canadians’ racist’ despite it being that the leading Asian democracies were first to close the border and stopped the spread of contagion.  In the US TRump was the first to close the border and flights from China in early Feburary and was called racist and widely condemned by the Democrat media. Today he is widely condemned by the Democrat media for not closing the border sooner and is still called racist.

9. The tests that have been most reported on the news have been tests of the ‘presence’ of the virus. These are actual sightings of the virus in disease.  Their importance is that they identify the cause of the disease and they identify presence of contacts of the diseased person who have the disease.  Covid 19 generally has a 3 week history, approximately 3 days of asymptomatic presence but still transmissible, by bodily fluids, spit, sperm etc, then at 3-5 days of actual illness high risk of spreading by coughing occurs. Then for the next two weeks the person is ill and can transmit the disease. In 3 weeks the vast majorité  recover and have natural immunity.  By contrast Antibody testing tracks the passing of the disease.  Think of the first testing as sighting of the wolf and the antibody testing as the footprints of the wolf.  The body produces antibodies and may dispell the infection without major symptons.  As an example 97% of Canadians have the antibodies to Herpes but only one in a hundred thousand or less have the disease or spread the disease.  

10. It is this concept of the test for covid and the antibody testing which has been beyond the comprehension of literally most journalists whether intentional or lack of basic scientific training which has been why compared to the success of Taiwan and Singapore and now New Zealand political leadership, the journalists and media have dismally failed.  Most Canadians think America has done poorly without knowing that Belgium and Brussels the seat of the European Union has had the worsst performance and worst government response.  The key to understanding medicine is ‘mortality’ statistics.  This is deaths per million.  Compared to Europe Canada and the US have done far better. Brussels And Belgium  did worse with tthe most deaths per million by country. The other one is that the US has 330 million whereas Canada has 33 million so commonly Canadians ignorant of science and presented with absolute numbers wag their finger at the US when as commonly as not the differences are only obscured by the ignorance of statistics of the reporters.  As an example the US has more beds per population than Canada.  The Italian health care system is superior in many ways to the Canadian health care system for a decade raped by failure of national health care spending. The Canadian health care system had the longest waitlists in the west, least number of doctors per population and most administration with beds always in the hallways.  So when Italy was overwhelmed Canadian health officials knowing how the national government had taken money taxPayers  thougtht was going to health  ,  but instead spent it on pet projects and cronyism, it fell to the provincial governments and premiers to save the day. All the while Dr. Tam was politicking and misinforming Canadians with WHO rants and racists rants, true vulgarity for a professionl, provincial health care minister’s like Dr. Bonnie Henry were indeed saving the day. In British Columbia Premier Horgan and Health Minister Dix literally pulled rabbits out of their hats to ensure that the populace was ready for the Pandemic,.  The BC Centre for Disease Control and UBC department of medicine continue to do increadible research and provide the latest updates. Dr. Bonnie Henry is lauded all over the world for her doctor’s doctors approach to the problem and reassurance to the population. Meanwhile, and what contributes to the collective anxiety is the misinformation and fear mongering at national and international levels from individuals who have now been identified as having supreme conflicts of interest.

11. CSIS, Canada’s equivalent of the CIA,  reported in March that Canada had been inflitrated by the Communist Chinese to the ‘highest levels in government, educations and media’.  Increasing numbers of leading Canadians and scientists were exposed as receving millions from the Chinese or as with leading Democrats and Liberals   having massive financial assets in China. The Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs one of the more recently identifierd owed the Communist Chinese 1.5 million dollars. Meanwhie over a hundred countries have sued China for reparations as their attempts at cover up unravel and the chimera nature of the virus becomes more appaent.

10. Iceland and later Stanford did massive antibody testing showing that 50% of the population may have contact with Covid and hot have symptons.  80% of cases were mild and had full recovery. However those who were admitted to hospital with lung disease developed chronic fibrotic damage of unknown nature. The response to the seriousness of this was that the American Military refused for life anyone entering the military who had Covid pnemonia. So well some people say it’s ‘just the flu’ , more seriously authoritative authorities know it’s not just the flu. However this unique virus now thanks to the information of multiple sources especially Taiwan and Singapore, Japan and South Korea Britain and France and Germany, it can be said as a rule of thumb, for those under 50 the risk is 1/10 that of the flu but for those over 65 or with other major medical illness the risk is 10 times that of the flu

11. None of this was known before the end of March. If this was ‘unconventional war’ then the ‘fog of war’ concealed much as China and the WHO continue to this day to be less than transparent.

12 The principle explanation for the covert passive aggression of the Communist Chinese in not stopping the spread of the virus when they could was that it served to stop the Hong Kong Revolt from spreading and secondly it was believed that the virus would cause economic collapse in the west. China due to the unfair trade practices which were at this time the centre of western and eastern trade negotiantions had many western and especially african entities in debt to them. In Australia a leading Chinese Billionaire businessman closed the leading 1500 bed hospital at the height  of Covid laying off staff and creating panic in government circles. Australia being first to recognize the aggressive nature of the financial affairs with China issued a law limitting Chinese ownership in the country to 40% after that. Meanwhile China like a payroll loan shark was foreclosing on ports and businesses and individuals around the world who starting in February because of the panedimic and lockdown couldn’t pay back their loans.  

13.  I studied Urban Combat Medicine and remember the most important lesson of the medical training regarding Terrorism. “There are always 2 bombs. The first is for the civilians , the second is for the first responders. “ Doctors must not run to help until the area is secured, And its sure that  there’s no second bomb and no snipers.  The Communist Chinese unleased the virus then sold Personal Protection Equipment to the rest of the world. 95% of the masks sold to netherlands were faulty and would have caused care givers to contract the virus. 250 respirators bought by Canada from China were faulty and would have killed the patients. Thermometers consistently registered 36 degrees when the patients fever was 39 degrees. Meanwhile Trudeau and the Liberals government incestuously involved with the Communist Chinese had given 17 tons of Canadas personal projection equipment to China in February as Covid began to infect caregivers at the bedside. Throughout the Wave caregivers suffered shortages of n95 masks and other equipment. Just as Fonda contineus to be called “Hanoi Jane”, Trudeau may wear the name Wuhan Trudeau for years to come in the eyes of the health care workers who were so betrayed. 

14. By April the lockdown as a treatment was becoming suspect. Dr. Bonnie Henry courageously declared at the beginning of May that the lockdown had accounted for more deaths than Covid 19.  It is critical to note that Taiwan and Singapore and other Asian democracies had little lockdown by comparison to the west. The essential workers and many others continued on the job however social distancing and masks and hand washing remained paramount. Taiwan the Goretsky of the Covid 19 games had been first to close it’s airport, and had also introduced strict quarantine and tracking measures, similar to steps that Dr. Bonnie Henry followed. Taiwan provided 3 masks a week and 5 masks a week to children.  The medical leader of the South Korean response emphasized the importance of masks based on their experience with the Sars epidemic and the Asian research. Meanwhile Dr. Fauci literally mocked people for recommending masks. Dr. Tam who had said flights from Wuhan were not a problem then said that there was monitoring in the airport which wasn’t occurring as Trudeau said that quarantine was adequate managed by ’trust’. In Asia quarantine was managed in stead and effectively byApps on phones and close monitoring. In the air port temperature non touch temperature checking was employed. Again,  despite the overwhelming success of the Asians, Dr. Tam poopahed their processes while thankfully Dr. Bonnie Henry recommended masks and followed what doctor doctor’s called ‘best practices’.

15. The most egregious medical events occured around the use of Hydroxychloroquine.  In France it was found to be effective preventing and helping people in early illness in cominbation with azithromycin or not.  It was used in China with benefit and celebrated by the Italian French and Spanish and Indian doctors.  Meanwile it was a medicine usedsafely by millions for 65 years for the treatment of malaria and arthritis. When I was working in the Emergency Medicine department of the Vancouver General Hospital during the height of the Aids epidemic being spat at and bled on and fearing death everything that was found to be beneficial was promoted and then tested. That was how with Covid 19 we learned that Zinc and Vitamin D and Sunlight were beneficial.  But when President Trump said HCQ was a potential cure and was optimistic trying to raise the spirits of a nation faced with despair, suddenly the Demcrat media and sadly Dr. Fauci began the campaign of ’nocebo’ . All of us are ’self healing’ so ‘placebo response’ often cited as 30% Of cure must be considered in the equation. Yet here was thousands of cases of recovery associated with the use of a safe 10cent pill compared the best big pharma solution , patentd ironically by China,  Remsifer, at $1000 a pill being literally discouraged. It was so different from the medical responses in the Aids epidemic which resulted in the celebration of health, good nutrition and exerice and the use of pharmacalogicall treatments that came along including treating the conditions traditonaly that developed to extend life. Hence with Aids we treated the pneumonias like with Covid 19 we are using Azithromycin. So why the hue and cry against standard medicine.  The most diabolitical of which was a couple of Democrat doctors in the VA creating a despicable political study suggesting HCG was deadly . The head of the VA subsequently apologised as reviews of the study showed its major flaws and partisanship. Similiar Lancet published an apparent great ‘review’ which was actually pulled by the editors and publishers of Lancet becasue the data base comnpany providing the stats was a Democrat front.  Even when the Republicans said that sunshine and freshair and exercise would reduce the spread of the virus suddenly this was mocked. It was always as if there was a segment of the society, dominated by the Communist Chinese and WHO and UN issues wanting to make a bad situation worse with media misinforming the public collectively about the science and the treatments.

16. This division between the ‘pro life’ and ‘pro death’, glass half full and glass half empty continues. Dr. Bonnie Henry reported correctly that the Lockdown was having dangerous side effects and starting May 1 ,increased  cardiac deaths from postponed life saving elective surgeries, just one example. Premier of BC, Mr. Horgan outlined increased return of personal freedom following in the footsteps of Taiwan and other world leaders. All the while Trudeau and TAm discouraged people working. Indeed the Prime Minister, young and healthy and never at risk, remained hidden in his palatial home only  coming out one hour a day and giving  himself and his co workers massive raises. Meanwhille Singapore politician cut their salaries.  Meanwhile in New Zealand the female prime minister with her baby at her side worked constantly and declared that Covid was conquered in New Zealand.  Further in Canads  when a side effect of lockdown a cabin fever crazed man shot and burnt 22 of his neighbours with illegal weapons actually one of which was obtained from the police the Prime Minister denied the influence of the Lockdown and threat of poverty and instead blamed the events on hunters and farmers who owned guns. Similir in the US when after months of lockdown facing increasing poverty people took to the streets to loot , this was consideed by democrats as a ‘racial’ issue. It was utterly bizarre.  The Chinese Communist Plan was for Xi Jinping to lead the UN and the new One World Order based on Commuhist princples in an alliance reminiscent of Hitler and Stalin, called Sharia Communism.

17 The actual stats of New York , the poorest performing US state which influenced the overal US stats, were directly a consequence of population density and age.  In addition the metal of elevators and need to take elevators factored in and the preference of the virus for Blacks after Asians. Latinos were least appealing to the virus. Further the US insurance companies were forced ,based on the experience of AIDS , to introduce a major fee for Covid 19 deaths and treatment. In AIDS the hospitals and doctors were at first fearful of treating. I volunteered because I was single, young stupid and immortal. I’d already acquired tuberculosis in an northern  tb outbreak and suffered a year of TB treatment subsequently. I  fortunately didn’t get meningitis when i was treating children in a meningitis outbreak. This Covid 19 was my 4th serious infectious disease crisis. I’d done a dual speciality in Community Medicine/Public Health training and Psychiatry, only completing the Psychiatry exams because I’m lazy and poor, i worked in public health especially enjoying the opportunbity to work with the Amazing CDC in Saipan.  Saipan , in the Marianas Islands,  has a major CDC centre with the finest staff because Saipan and Guam are where asian diseases first strike and the military has a major concern to protect citizens and troops.  

New York Governor Cuomo forced Nursing Homes to accept and keep COVID 19 patients.  By contrast Premier Horgan and Dr. Bonnie Henry in British Columbia quarantined people with Covid 19 and through outstanding public health policy and care limitted the institutional spread of Covid 19 as a priority. To put this in spectivie I’ve rather crudely stated that if during AIDS the governor had forced brothels to keep prostitues with HIV working the calamity would be equivalent. Which is just one of the reasons it seems that there are competing forces, one wanting to see the end and reduce the spread of Covid 19 and another one wanting to see the greater spread and economic collapse of the west. Based on the best scientific and medical information half the US states increased freedom and began the restoration of the economy as recommended here in BC by Dr. Bonnie Henry and being done by the Asian Democracies , while half the US for purely political reasons tried to maintain the lockdown and destroy the economy. Meanwhile in Canada the lockdown now accounted for massive increase in overdose deaths thanks to government giving  addicts thousands of dollars.  Further suicides skyrocketed and lay offs increased. At this time in Africa dependent on western supply lines disrupted by the pandemic, the projection was of millions of black babies dying from starvation before year end . It was so omninously reminiscent of the AIDS epidemic. A few million died in north american while 100s of millions of Africans died.  So rich powerful organizations like Antifa, BLM and criminal organizations intent on looting disrupted the economy causing chaos , the people most hurt would being black babies in Africa who no one seems to care about ever despite cries of racism and other such posturing.

18.  Bill Gates stated that the greatest money to be made today in investments was vaccines with 1 billion investment and 400 billion return.  The vaccine industry has been hurt by the lucrative but controversial flu vaccine with governments doing draconian things on behalf the the people, the notorious Nazi slogan that ultimately lead to the ‘final solution’.  Unfortunately it’s reminiscent of the last crisis in which ‘good stocks’ were combined with ‘bad stocks’ to create the Fanny May and Goldman Sacks debacle and government bail outs. Vaccines are good. Measles vaccine and Polio vaccines saved millions.  Now the latest immunological advances in the treatment and cure of cancer have been using vaccine type strategies. It’s like giving an airport dog a sniff of a criminals clothes and setting the dog free to track down and attck the criminal.  Moderna and Zeneca using this 21st century techniques have vaccines in human trials that could arrive as early as late fall this year because of the courage and availability of young volunteers.  I really do look forward to having one of these vaccines. Similarly Abcella labs in vancouver in combination with Lilly has developped an antibody test which is truly space age and the best of science. The Communist antibody tests again were grossly erroneous reporting false negatives and false poisitive and over repeating and under reporting disease.  By contrast the Vancouver based researcheers are true geniuses and have developed the most accurate antibody test.  

19 Unfortunately and highly suspciously the Chinese Communist Party Military has a vaccine which Wuhan Trudeau has agreed to study and brand with the Canadian name. Chinese products because of their defects, not because of racism, now have a most spurious reputation. The Chines vaccine is an old techonology based on abortus stem cells that may as well be wearing bell bottoms. It’s a disgusting adjuvant and vector that comes from the last century,.  Today stem cells can be made from any skin cells and don’t require the killing of babies. Meanwhile Communist China poisoned the world and now just happens to want to sell an antidote under the Canadian brand.  Conspiracy theorists saying that UN Agenda 21 and 2030 desire to depopulate the world of the non elite need look no further than this abomination which unfortunately scandalizes vaccines which are life saving. I really can’t wait to be tested for antibodies to see if I have natural immunity or to get a Moderna or Zeneca vaccine to induce natural immunity.  

20.That’s about where it is today.  Spritually there is a war between life and death and pro life forces and death forces. Freud called this to Eros and Thanatos.  When the Nazi came to kill him he finally said, ‘maybe the paranoids were right ‘ Like the Beatles “I don’t want a revolution’. I fear for the mentally ill, the pensioners and all those on fixed income or ill because whenthere is societal disruption,  and when gun laws are imposed and  totalitarianism follows, it is those who are the most vulnerable, the old and infirm, who are  first killed.  My friend who survived the Pol Pot concerntration camps said that saddest thing was seeing the patients murdered on mass but the intellectuals and professors followed. Half of Cambodia 2 1/2 million were murdered by that communist take over. Like China under Mao who brought in gun control and murdered 100 million Chinese.
22. Life is not worth much in totalitarian states like the dictator ruled states of the UN which now condemns Israel which is at this moment also producing cures and a vaccine.  The production of most of my patients medications had been outsourced to Communist china and they immediately threatened indirectly to cut off the supply. Fortunately we have 4 months supply in Canada, and Israel, first, followed by India and south American nations offered to up production along with American companies who have already begun to meet the threatened deficits.  Already in Canada Canadian companies are producing masks and other essentials that suddenly became absent when the Chinese producd defective equipment intentionally or unintentionally.  

22. I am wearing a Canadian mask when I’m around people in the Market. I’m washing my hands with an oil based soap. I’m taking Hydroxycholoroquine preventatively ,the lowest dose when I’m going to be in medical high risk settings. I’m taking zinc and vitamin d and walking my dog twice a day and getting out in the sun whenever it’s not raining .I”m socially distancing. I’m doing virtual work from home and thankful for the recommendations of the College of Physicians and Surgeons which literaly cut through all manner of bureaucratic nonsense and red tape and focussed 100% on patient care.  Again the guidance and leadership of the NDP in BC under premier Mr. Horgan, Health Minister Mr. Dix and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has been nothing less than miraculous. 

I was delighted to learn that Russia has producerd a new antiviral called Aguifer which shortens the disease to 4 days.  Amazing breakthrough.  The longer at risk populations can avoid getting ill the better the treatment potential. Thanks to the New York ICU doctors we learned that having patients lie on their stomachs could save them from needing ventilators. Thanks to the Milan sacrifice we learned that the respirators pressures needed to be low. 

The most exciting space age treatment is a UV insert in the lung that literally kills the virus in the ICU by internal light therapy. 100 % effective but unfortuantely to date prohibitively expensive and not readily availabe. The advances in the treatment of Covid 19 however can be likeened to doing in 4 months what took 4 years to do with AIDS. The scientific work is amazing. It really does follow Moore’s Law. Thanks to Dr. Bonnie Henry and Mr. Dix if I got sick today I’d get the medical resources from UBC Medicine a world leading infectious disease and clinical hospial and I’d survive with the increible nursing and medical staff.  I don’t want to get sick though and the later it is if I do the more likely I’d have HCQ , Azithromycin, and Aguafir and even a Moderna or Zeneca vaccine.  

June 4, 2020 Jumanji, Astronauts, Communist China’s Fifth Column

Confusion reigns with riots in the street stoked by Communist China’s Fifth Column and International Looter rings seeking the latest TV sets. It’s all happening while a couple of Astronaughts from Space X and NASA are advancing history with the latest manned flight. On the streets of New York women are pooping in public as a protest against their parents affluence.  The envy and greed are palpable.  Anxiety flares.  Already the poverty hits the third world because of first world truculence.  Black children facing starvation look at television images of Beverly Hills. Pedophiles salivste. A Brooklyn Democrat lawyer sets a government building on fire with a Budweiser Molotov cocktail.

I’m sitting in a virtual office in a northern rain forest. I’m trying to calm and reassure and keep the flow of medications coming: antidepressants, anti anxiety, anti psychotics, methadone, suboxone, naltrexone. anti seizure, viagra, cialis.  I am impressed with the acceptance and resilience of the mentally ill. There’s still  an increasing need for asylum. 

When I’m not looking at a screen and talking into an iPhone, I watch birds outside my window. Yesterday nuthatches. The day before cedar waxwings.I walk the dog each day . Yesterday I saw an immature eagle. He seemed confused as to what he was supposed to kill.  

Covid 19 is still with us.  The old and sick have continue in quarantine while the young and healthy return to work and play while others loot.  Herd immunity is hoped for. Moderna and Zeneca vaccines are promising.  There’s still nothing to fix stupid.  PM Trudeau continues his reign of pillage and the people love that he gives them free stuff,their futures, the futures of their children, the futures of their grandchildren.  Canada daily descends into communism.  Xi Jinpeng with the UN and George Soros wish to rule the world.  Trudeau turns his back on the Commonwealth and America and invites the Chinese Communist Party to work with him.  So far the sound of guillotines hasn’t come to Quebec.

It’s bizarre. This fictitious media reality drama, stranger than fiction, is funnelled into my bubble world through the same Satellite Internet that takes out my words of comfort and hope. The media creates crazy narratives. Competing industries of activism and marketing.  The new sacred cow is social justice. The worship of words like multi cultural and intersectionalism is reminiscent of a facelifted  70’s ‘running dog capitalism’ phrase book. The same old snake skins. Me first. Me first.  Ego and more ego.  I feel old as I listen and the young don’t.  

I pray and meditate.  I pay more and more taxes. Notice that the price of meat has doubled.  Still I’ve running water, heat, sunshine, Gilbert’s seems better today, the heart medicine hopefully working. It’s been a long week.  I’m weary by Thursday.  Have meetings this evening.  Will rally.  The chaos in the streets is unsettling. I wish we had India’s Shacta.  Our legal system has to be overhauled and brought into the 2020’s.  Our parliament has been closed so politicians always fat cats are paid to languish in palaces.  The drugs and booze flow in a constant palace party  Sophie sings, ‘Let them eat cake!” No transparency.  

I don’t know. It’s all hearsay. The more the media says President Trump lies, the more he twitters truth. Benghazi Hillary lost her appeal. Trudeau steals more guns. No ID is required to vote. Postrationalism truth is convenience. Taqiya helps. 

Here I watch little birds and get bum shots because they turn at the last moment. They all have ADD.  At least the big predators sit still for portraits. It always was thus.  

I’m hurting less today.  The pain was such I couldn’t breathe and lay for a while to let the spasm go. I took Tylenol and Ibuprofen and stayed still till the spasm passed. I wondered if it was when I lifted the piece of paper turning. It’s hard to walk.  I’m waiting for a special chair. Sitting on the couch working has been a special kind of stupid. It’s all psychosomatic. But the fear is less now. The tension passing.  Covid 19 is out there. It can kill me but I’m growing used to it like patients describedthe sounds of war in the streets of Sarajevo and the streets of Belfast.  I’ve hear so many refugees with stories of valour and shame.  

Meanwhile I’m here watching little birds and walking my dog and have nothing to complain about. My mother would say that to us as kids. You have nothing to complain about when we would whine. If we cried in a mood she would say, if you want something to cry about I’ll give you something to cry about. The we would laugh. My mother Irish. My father Scottish. Both true Canadian.

My aunt would say count your blessings.

My mother would also  say ‘if you’re bored and have nothing to do’ you can peel the potatoes or clean the floors or do the dishes. That quickly got us out of the house. I spent my childhood handing wrenches to my father and my brother.  Back then being an assistant was a glorious thing. Now everyone is entitled to being a CEO.  

I’m happy I suppose.  I’m not ecstatic. I’m grateful. It could always be worse. It could be better. I could have my own spaceship.  I could be a space archeologist looking for ancient technology on distant planets finding the secrets of new energy sources and meeting blue people. Perhaps my next life.

May 29, 2020 Covid 19, Freedom Phase 1

Covid 19 continues to spread. Herd immunity may be less than previously thought. Normally 60 to 70% needed with the exception of small pox which required 90%.  Sweden already saying they may see herd immunity at a lesser percentage and may meet 50% by summer.  The westcoast of America and Canada is already at 20 to 30% contact with young people having 1/10 the risk and old people over 65 with existing medical illness still facing 10 times risk of illness. Death is rare from Covid 19 alone.
In the US because Covid 19 deaths are paid so well and do not require definitive dx, ‘natural deaths’ stopped in February  A very funny meme shows the NCIS team noting multiple gunshots and knife wounds but concluding death by Covid 19.
Belgium and the European Union centre continues to be the greatest failure bureaurcratically in the west.  Taiwan remains the best performer.
The WHO was bought by communist China and Trudeau in Canada is working for the Communist Chinese Military promoting abortion and injecting Canadians with abortus products. Really, Truth is stranger than fiction.

I’m moseying along.  I really was afraid when this began.  Now I’m no longer afraid of the disease. The doctors and nurses in BC have been incredible. UBC is an outstanding medical university.  I used to work at VGH and truly loved the hospital and staff.  Royal Columbia is a great place as well.  So if I get sick and I need to go to hospital I really believe I’ll get the care I need here to save me. Or it will be my time.
I’ve lived a long and beautiful adventurous life beyond my wildest dreams. When I was a country GP and old people came to the hospital to die, we called ‘peumonia, the old man’s friends’.  I had very peculiar flu in the spring that had me taking time off work, fever, horrible cough and the feeling I couldn’t breathe for the first time in my life. It appeared I may have had Covid then.It’s been in North American since Jan. I may have antibodies to Covid already like so many people. No need for a vaccine if you already have had the disease.  That's the science. But politics, economics and greed may change reality. When people had cowpox they didn't get small pox.  That's all in the history of immunology but today the 'winner', the 'wealthiest' writes history.  Wikipedia is so often propaganda.  

I’m looking forward to the antibody testing that’s begun in BC.

Dr. Bonnie Henry has done brilliant community medicine and public health work. I did a dual speciality in Psychiatry and Community Medicine, completing 2 years of Community Medicine and Public Health but chose not to continue and do two residency exams, opting for only Psychiatry.  I later had the honor to work with the CDC.  The CDC has a major outreach in the Northern Marianas Islands. It’s associated with the American Military there because Asian diseases first are seen in Guam and Saipan. So when I worked with the hospital the CDC had us do various emergency scenarios. First and only time I’ve worn a hazmat suit.  Not pleasant. I cringe when I see doctors geared up these days. I’ve always wanted to be a space man but I don’t like the suits. Something light and sexy please?  

I’ve had several patients become suicidal in lockdown. A couple have become psychotic.  Major panic attacks.  Lots of worsening depression.  One case of violence.  Several family break ups.  Major relapses to alcohol and drugs. Initially the drug consumption went down because the dealers couldn’t get at their prey but they rapidly adjusted.  The ones already into delivery expanded. When the churches and schools closed and liquor stores and pot stores stayed open the writing was on the wall. Government gets a cut of the booze and pot sales but not so much from God. This government has indeed been satan’s child.  Trudeau is definitely C.S. :Lewis’s Wormwood.
I believe I'd done a lot for keeping some patients out of hospital and truly believe my virtual work has been very beneficial. I've continued medications, started and stopped medications, and made medication adjustments. Because polypharmacology is merely 'thinking' it's been easy in virtual. Also assessments have been easy. The hardest has been therapy with people I've never seen.  I have however found psychotherapy with patients I've known has been just fine.  I expect I'll have a mixed practice in the future or if I do just do virtual will limit my practice to those areas which are most amenable. There's an edge in virtual and I'm not as sure of the understanding. It's even worse where the other person is culturally different or has ESL.  People don't realize that humour simply doesn't translated culturally and loving, caring emotions are subtler.  I don't feel my warmth comes through and fear I could come across cold as people do on television.  So easy to be 'flat'.  Yet psychiatry is all about dimension.

Islam is the religion of peace when all the world is Islam.  Communism succeeds when all the world is communist.  Todays’ UN promotes Sharia Communism and like the alliance between Communism and Fascism and the Japanese Emperor and National socialism (Nazi) of Germany, the same confusion goes on to day with politics making strange bedfellows.

Trudeau continues to attack Christians and countless young Christian women continue to defend him because he has pretty hair.  I am reading a thriller where the new Caliphate takes over England with all the sleeper terrorists creating chaos so the British can’t respond to the invasion.  The genocide of Tibet is never discussed today.  Neither is Culloden, nor the Magna Carta. History forgetten is doomed to repeat itself. I feel like I’m living in 1939. It really is 1984.  Trudeau a 17th century fop declared it was the 20th century sometime in ancient history before he said the balance would balance itself and people realized that he’d never learned to count.  He was busy as a teacher fondling teen girls.

I was explaining Erickson’s developmental theory to a patient this week, pointing out that young adults go through a naturally occurring ‘identity’ crisis in the 20ths century and beyond. In the past there wasn’t the freedom we once had here.  Jesus was a carpenter like his father.  But at 20 I could be anything. I was straight A’s in university Arts and Science despite being expelled from high school.  I started out in theatre and dance and ended up in surgery, then medicine then psychiatry.  It’s been a weird journey.  Three totally beautiful wife all with one thing in common, insaniety, evidenced by marriage to me.  Today I have a girlfriend of 20 years despite having had male and female friends and giving up alcohol and pot 22 years ago when my wife’s cocaine addiction turned life into a nightmare. Trump reminds me of an old used car salesman of my grandfather's era and I believe today my grandfather's would be hated as much as he was. Mr. Harper reminded me of my father and he was hated too. I've actually been as flaky and ridiculous as Trudeau when I was drunk and stoned and all the girls loved me then. Today I see the hatred of Trump as principally anti male and anti american.  I'm obviously not a full fledged heterosexual but I've watched the government chastise those I've known who were the greatest doctors and family men. I've watched Christians be crucified. I'll never forget a friend saying, 'when rape is inevitable you might as well lie back an enjoy it'.  Obviously men can't fight anymore and women won't take care generally of more than themselves and their children, men historically the protector of family and community.  But that's gone. The new immigrants and other cultures do put their colour and themselves first. I've not done that with Irish and Scottish heritage folk or with 'white' people. I've helped everyone equally and seem to lack this intrinsically beneficial tribal gene. It was noted in my residency by my teachers that I treated everyone the 'same'.  I know that's really upset the rich and I've been punished by my governmnent for not preferentially treating the wealthy and powerful 'better'.  I've been told repeatedly by powerful colleagues that I'm 'wasting' my time with 'losers'. I've wasted my life by those examples but others seem to think I'm okay and I really believe in the eyes of God I'm passing. It's not even pass fail.  But I'm passing.
  

My grandfather , a rancher and a farmer, didn’t care if someone drank in the winter but he considiered everyone who drank in spring, summer and fall an alcoholic. An alcoholic (and by extension an addict) was anyone who did alcohol when there was work to be done. Like my Vietnam vets who didn’t like people using in fox holes. They were either too stoned to hear the enemy or too panicky they shot and gave away their position. It was okay to be stoned on off base R&R time.  

All the hit men and enforcers and prostitutes I treated said they had to do drugs to do their job.  I was thoroughly impressed that Mr. Harper and Mr. Turner weren’t impaired. I did a study of dope smokers and they all thought they functioned well enough but didn’t want their pilot or neurosurgeon smoking pot. It didn’t matter that pilots and neurosurgeons don’t like their hairdressers or Prime Ministers stoned. Kennedy was on pain medication with his only peculiar physician.  Hitler was on Speed and Heroin.  President Trump was on Hydroxychloroquine. Obama admitted to doing cocaine and wasn’t in office.  

When I meet St. Peter I’m going to watch a whole lot of reruns of world tv in heaven with people much smarter and in the know than me telling me who was paid by who. They’re going to have politicians and scientists colour coded with which corporation was paying them how much.  Canada’s elections were heavily influenced by foreign money.  

It was once good enough for a politician to be paid by the salary.  Obama though entered with 1 million dollars and left with 100 million dollars.  Today politicians see their salary as the wage the waitress gets. The real money is in the tips. It’s all institutionalized baksheesh.  

I’m paying the rent.  I’ve clean clothes en femme and au homme. I would live a whole lot cheaper if I was in the south where all I needed was shorts or a rwarp. I miss my sailboat and tropical winds. I’ve got all the electronics I need.  My dog has a heart condition but meds are keeping him going. My back always hurts but a whole lot worse since I stopped NSAIDS. I was so thankful for the adjustment I got last week. I think I experience tension in my back.  We have places where we somatize.  For some it’s headaches. Some it’s necks. Some it’s bellies. Mine is my back. I carried so many people and so many people’s shit when I was young and naive.  Now I don’t do any lifting. I’m trying not to crash any more vehicles which I really can’t blame on anyone else much but myself. If I’d walked and avoided the first bicycle I’d probably have no back pain.  But I love speed. Looking forward to riding the harley around on errands later today.

Life is good really.  It’s all about seeing the glass half full. I pray and meditate and try to exercise. The greater my faith the better life is. I’m also good if I live in the day. I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow. I don’t know what’s happening in a week or months. The weather man is no better than my own predictions.  Al Gore sure knew that the Arctic Ice Cap would be gone and he’s a multi millionarie today. Maybe I should say that the Toronto Maple Leaf’s will win the next NHL and I’ll become a millionaire. I don’t know what the formula is.  

I’m continueing to try to do what is right, help people and work with my community.  I’ve always been a good citizen even if I did party hearty when I left the front and had vacations. i wasn’t impaired at work and certainly was more present than so many in my day.  I have been shamed and humiliated. I was punished the most for doing the right things. I have been beat up falsely accused lied to and true sociopaths in the governmnent and in my leadership have literally got away with murder.  I have also seen that the most of the people I’ve known have been pretty amazing. So why do I have this kink in my neck that holds onto the resentments. I’d rather be pollyanna and have cherry glasses. I want to know joy. I want to see the past as lessons and I know that God was always there with me.  I have to trust God more  I have to love more. I have to dance more and maybe then my back would feel better.I’ve got to relax. I”m really looking forward to camping and swimming and fishing.

May 26, 2020 Covid Questions

I don’t know much more today than I did yesterday.  We seem to be moving further and further away from science and more into politics and hidden agenda’s each day. I don’t know why we still have a state of emergency here. I believed that business could open up and government could step back May 1 but no.  The government hovers like Big Brother.

The UN is not my government. It is a body of men who are mostly dictators and have demonstrated their intrinsic evil in their repeated calls for the death of the Israeli state. I don’t like the beheadings or the terrorist attacks or the rapes and yet the UN doesn’t really seem to care much about human rights. 

The WHO is no longer the organizations of mercy it once was. It is as corrupt as the Canadian government has become.

Every where I look I see bullies and the elite. I feel small and vulnerable and afraid.

I pray and meditate more because I don’t feel those around me are awake or aware and that they are out of their own fear trusting authorities which have proven themselves self serving.  

I think Justin Trudeau is a traitor to Canada and feel what I think Germans felt watching the rise of Hitler and his browns shirts. Trudeau is a pretty boy red  shirt thug.  It’s terrible to be born and lived in Canada and participated in politics and see the utter travesty of justice and mockery of all the traditions and conventions that were part of my upbringing.It’s like having a mad man decide that all the beavers must be killed, all the maple trees must be cut down, and all the ideas of freedom sacrificed to encourage the Sharia Communist rise in power.  I’m looking about and seeing that all the hard working responsible middle class folk I know will be like me ruined in the coming months. Already the price of food has doubled. Taxes have increased in everything and I’m working twice as hard for half what I did when I began. I see the lowest idea of ‘give them cake’ being perpetrated daily and all at a time when we know the virus is passing and herd immunity is taking place. 

We need to be cautious, us older and the sick but it’s time for the young, the under 60 year old crowd to gather outside and party hearty. Let there be love in the streets.  Camping, beaches , street festivals. They should be resuming.  That’s science and medicine.  This other thing is wrong.

But I don’t know so I’m attending a webinar with the leading minds and I’m going to listen. I’ve read all that I could, studied all I could, and I just don’t see them listening to the genius of Taiwan because of the lies of CCP and especially the dirty dinosaur WHO.  Taiwan and Iceland, Stanford and Singapore are all on the same page. Yet we seem to be listening to Brussels and Belgium, the EU, and UN yesterday news folk.  Brussels and Belgium and the EU had the poorest showing in the west. The Communists, continue to lie and cheat and war.

I’m flummoxed.

I pray. I meditate. I walk the dog. I don’t like the rain. I want to lie in the sun.  I want to hold my girl in my arms and believe in a future that is not more rape and pillage by the elite. I want to trust that Canada is my home. I have nowhere else to go.  As a third generation Canadian and a Christian and white I’m constantly being bullied these days by people who insist that it’s okay because someone somewhere in their groups past was but I’ve not done it. I’ve been a good guy and I’m being walked over and I’m tired. I’m really tired of the constant abuse by people who claim the right to abuse because they were abused. Well, I think they should have learned. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. But that’s now the elite that are coming here. It’s the survival of the fittest crew, the rich and privileged who ruined their own nations and now come to ruin my country with their love of terrorism and world domination. 

Justin Trudeau gave us Islamaphobia.  Now we’re going to have Communistphobia and it will be hate speech to speak out against the Godlness murdering Communist Chinese Party just like it’s now hate speech to complain about Islam mutilating little girls before their marriage to old men at the age of 9.  I don’t want Sharia Law. I don’t want Marx. I don’t want any of that.  I’m tired like John Cleese described his feelings of watching his city deformed from a place of welcome to one of no go zones and terrorists with trucks and knives.

I’m meditating and praying and trusting in God. I’ve no faith in the government. I’ve no faith in politics. I’m ready for the inevitable war that Trudeau is creating with his divide and conquer and playing everyone against each other the exact way the Communists and the Fascists have always done.  It’s evil and satanic and yet this is the world today.  No mention of Jesus. The closing of the churches and schools while the liquor stores and pot shops stay open. It’s weird and bizarre.

I will spend the day reassuring people and telling them not to kill themselves. I will calm them. I will note that the relapse rates and suicide rates are skyrocketing while the hysteria about the virus has replaced last weeks hysteria about the planet dying. The arctic still being there hasn’t resulted in Al Gore having to give back his millions made from lies. Obama has a beach front palace despite telling us all the world is at risk of inundation by climate change. Now Bill Gates is bound to make a fortune off vaccines and Trudeau and Clinton and everyone else has tax shelters called ‘Foundations’ . I just learned that when I die Trudeau just raised the estate and death tax from 30 % to 50% . I was kind of going to work thinking that I’d leave something for my nephews and great nephews. Instead I’ve a lifetime of work that will go to a sociopath and his criminal friends.  I have lost all faith in this government.

Steal a little and they put you in jail. Steal a lot and they make you king.  Where are you now William Wallace!  Fuck Joe DiMaggio.

Alright.  Just for today.  Emotional sobriety.  All shall be well. All shall be well. All manner of things shall be well.  

Walk the dog. Make gratitude lists. Stay calm.  It’s all above your pay grade.  Jesus loves you.  Just for today.  Get through this 24 hours.  You’ve had good coffee. You have indoor plumbing, soap and shower. Be thankful. Right now it’s okay.  I will do my best today and do the work I’ve trained in and will continue to do my best.

May 17, Contined State of Emergency, Politics versus Science

My mother always taught me there were people who if you gave a little would want it all. There are takers and there are givers. There are well manner people and there are bullies. The state of emergency is past but government always, reasonably suspect given the abuses of power through history,just doesn’t seem to want to let a crisis go to waste.  Sad.

I’m here in an act of ‘civil disobedience’.  I’m camping this weekend. I have a camper with it’s own bathroom and Laura is the only other person I have physical contact with. Gilbert and I have been socially distanced for two months from her, reunited last week. I’ve continued to work virtually. The forest or ocean has been my medicine.  

I’m denied groups hugs and coffee shop discussions.  Too many FB people are too quick to take offence, looking for a fight, name callers or self proclaimed sheriffs. They don’t know that discussion is like a game of ping pong, or perhaps tennis. Love One.  Even debating is beyond them because they don’t have the least knowledge of ‘proof’ but instead consider the ‘mob cry’ as appropriate statement of ‘opinion’.  

Sadly watching parliament I’ve seen a whole lot of adolescent behaviour from the Prime Minister with his ear fob directing him.  I watch Pierre ask him appropriate questions or counter his arguments and then the PM rants tangentially or circumstantially gaslighting and generally being an uncivilized boor with pretty hair and lots of virtue signalling and posturing.  

I’m weary. I did nothing yesterday. I’m reading an excellent Western, Bunnell’s Stonecraft saga of two men with flintlock weapons and bows exploring the Wild West.  Lots of good history and even bible passages as that was the common language of the day and the author is a pastor.  Great period writing. 

But then I’m looking over at FB hoping for some of the really good intrigue about this Covid 19.  Why ever are they continuing states of emergency, outrageous police powers, dubious fines, and all in name of the Nazi creed “its for your safety’.  

Unlike others I accepted the lockdown. I believe our leadership knew it was from a lab and it was possibly a bioweapon experiment gone awry, released intentionally or unintentially but certainly not stopped when it could have been.  It was also associated with a major cover up and massive deaths in Wuhan.  What to do in such a situation.  Retreat!  So we did and we learned an immense amount of information in 2 months.

It’s not a bioweapon.  The virus likes asian and blacks most, whites next but doesn’t like Latins. If it was a bioweapon it was developed by Mexicans.  Not the Communist Chinese. It was likely an lab error, like Chernobyl and countless other examples of experimental errors. The Iranians last week shot one of their ships with a mission Maybe it was just religious Islam stupidity that had them shoot down a commercial flight only months back. 

The Wuhan Virology Lab had a history of errors.  The WHO lied. Like the Communist Chinese who knew better they said it didn’t spread human to human.  My friend was in Wuhan and had pneumonia and everyone knew this flu virus spread by coughing. Why would the Communist Chinese and WHO lie if everyone knew and by January even the western intelligence agencies knew they were lying. So unconventional warfare had begun and the lockdown began. Nobody wanted to have their health care resources overwhelmed.  

Other than in major cities people were not particularly at risk. In most cases the people who died were old and sick in nursing homes.  When I was a country family physician we quipped that ‘pneumonia was the old man’s friend’.  It was a relatively easy way to die and  a principle cause of death in the very old.

I researched masks again when I heard that Dr. Fauci like Dr. Tam had said , against all medical evidence, against all scientific evidence, that masks in the community shouldn’t be worn.  Both reversed their positions but the data proving that masks protected communities came from the SARS and MERS epidemics.

 All the leading Virologists in the Asian democracies recommended masks. So were Dr. Fauci and Dr. Tam racist.  I know that at international conferences I have encountered the rare arrogant western physician who belittles the excellent work of Third World Nation Colleagues. But the head of public health from Taiwan and from South Korean aren’t Third World. Why doesn’t the WHO acknowledge Taiwan who has to date done the best of all. It’s like having a hockey all star team but refusing to let Goretsky play.  The WHO has become a horribly unscientific political body just like the Red Cross became in the Aids Epidemic. 

Now I’m sitting outside at a picnic table. The wilderness campgrounds were closed but this set of spots was open along the river. We’d hoped to go to our favourites further out but they were closed .  There were a half dozen campers here and no sign, the entrance open.  The other campgrounds had gates and saw horses. This didn’t. Laura was concerned we were 2 and a half hours away from my place . I drove slowly.  She’s never had a speeding ticket. She is a really good girl.  The private campgrounds told us they were accepting RV’s and campers but no tents because their washrooms were all closed and there was no use of public community services.  

We’d planned weeks ago.  Then suddenly after being told we could travel in BC we were told we had to go only 2 hours and that day camping was okay but no overnight camping. It made no scientific or medical sense.  Political and military.  The dictator always takes away little things and torturers play similiar dominatrix games.  No warning.  I give. I take away.  I am your Queen.  You peasants have no rights.  

I just had a hunting rifle I bought legally and owned for years suddenly declared a military assault rifle by a PM who couldn’t find his ass with both hands and knows nothing about the guns that surround him protecting him and his arrogance.  

I’m a good boy. Not like Laura is a good girl. But I’ve lived a righteous life. Not necessarily sexually. I’ve a number of divorces and I swear. I have a penchant for the word ‘fuck’ and wonder if it’s my own personal canary in the mine. If people don’t like the word ‘fuck’ they’re going to find a lot more they don’t like while turning a blind eye to worse behaviours that they themselves do but don’t own.  Passive aggressive, covert aggression and negligence are the principle failings of the politically correct. 

I am a good citizen. I’ve carried wood and hauled water for years. I’ve served on boards and manned soup kitchen lines, volunteered to serve at high cost and high risk in the worst of areas. I’ve served my fellow man and God and I’ve respected my government and participated in it. I don’t break the law normally and don’t like breaking the law.  I think too if someone who is as ethical and moral as I have worked to be is having a problem then frankly the majority of people might well have cause for concern. 

But I’m here and what have I done. Nothing. I’ve sat inside in the rain and read a western. I’ve even engaged in a few political arguments on facebook.  It’s deplorable.  I don’t do it normally because I’m working 10 hours a day debating with someone who wants to kill themselves or others or drink or drug. I’m presenting pros and cons and doing literature searches. I read a half dozen scientific papers yesterday, a few hours of worthwhile work. I was curious about what the CDC knew.  Marvellous organization in my experience. Love reading what UBC is doing.  

Loved Dr. Bonnie Henry and thought so well of Mr. Horgan until he extended the State of Emergency. Now that was scarey.  The emergency is past. With all the stress I feel I’ve been working harder. Now obviously people like Trudeau have been on a long vacation coming out for little posturing  in speeches and refusing to open parliament while spending a lifetime of money on cronies and giving a bit to the people to keep them in rapt adulation of his hair.  

I’m losing my hair.  Laura is beautiful. Gilbert is a gift. He injured his back, lost his eyes, has a serious heart murmur and is now taking treatment for congestive heart failure but he just keeps on. 

I really should be more grateful. I’m nit picking this government.  They’ve done so well. My natural and very healthy fear of government has stepped up.  The communists have invaded Canada and we’re rapidly on the way to a police state.  Civil war has already begun.  Montreal and Toronto versus Canada. 

It’s all above my pay grade. I watched a stellar jay a moment a go.  The sun is truly lovely. An ant has come  to visit.  There’s something comforting about old picnic tables. Takes me back to the best of times camping with my family.  I also liked the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Church and YMCA camping  experiences.  The picnic table has so many fond memories.  

Random thoughts from a mind that is winding down.  I slept so well. I actually dreamed of holy men and lakes.  Gilbert woke me early. He loves to be helped up on the bed so he can get Laura to give him a morning tummy rub. I went back to sleep only to have Laura wake me thinking there was a bear outside. I think it was a crow that got into the green bag of garbage I’d hung at the back of the camper. I cleaned it up and took Gilbert for a walk. He’s on furosemide and peed longer than I’ve ever seen him pee.  He’s been enjoying drinking more water so the meds must make him thirsty. He’s such a happy little dog. An example to me. I’m more dour. I enjoy life and am happy but he’s much more ready to play and I am slow to play. I miss the puppy some days. We are both a whole lot slower. I’m old like my grandfather and don’t feel it except in the aches and pains.  

I used the generator yesterday to charge all the electronics but today I’ve just run the truck.

May 16, Covid 19, Camping

Covid 19  came from  a leak (a virus spill) during gain of function experiments in the Level 4 Communist Chinese Military  Virology Lab in Wuhan. The unusual genetic sequencing shows unusual fucin insertion that have Nobel Prize winning scientists convinced that it did not develop naturally.  The Communist Chinese Party tortured and killed whistleblower doctors and continue to refuse to share patient zero, ‘bat girl’ information.  A lab assistant working with the horseshoe bat virus has been mysteriously missing along with others since late November, early December,  2019.

December the CCP knew a deadly human to human transmitting virus was lose in Wuhan, did not stop planes leaving the monstrous Wuhan festival.  These people flew to all corners of China and on to the rest of the world.  The CCP capitalized on the condition locking down Hong Kong, stopping the million strong revolt of leading citizens and subsequently arresting millionaire Hong Kong business who are now also missing. 

 In the Chinese Communist Party papers on ‘unconventional warfare’ they state the need to destroy the US and other Democracies by internal division and conquering and the use of propaganda and disease to gain ascendancy. The end of communism has always been perpetual war till the communists triumph.

The WHO was coopted to support the Communist Chinese Party narrative propaganda.  Suddenly a ‘wet market’ which never sells bats was implicated in the origin of a virus which oddly required a pangolin to explain it’s peculiar lab created appearance. There is absolutely no evidence that the virus originated in a wet market or could not have been in the Wuhan lab.  

Millions of dollars of funding was given to scientists who insisted they knew with 100% certainly that the virus  came from the wet market. Only 97% of the genetic make up was ‘normal’. 3% was highly suspicious but anyone who questioned the Chinese Communist Party narrative was mocked and ridiculed or disappeared. A massive, millions of dollars, Communist propaganda  campaign began while dozens of countries sued China for financial damages and loss of life. 

In the January, the fog of war, with China denying the million deaths and WHO downplaying the danger, Iran lying about mass graves,  the west was un prepared for the onslaught that killed so many in Italy as the virus spread in a huge wave around the world.

Lockdown ensued. If the health care systems, ICU’s and respirators were overwhelmed deaths multiplied 5 to 10 times more.  The disease lasted 3 weeks. An Israeli scientist charted its spread as 8 weeks to peak and trough, apparently most unusually independent of the response. Sweden took the unprecedented approach to encouraging early herd immunity to reduce the overall long term morbidity and mortality.  At risk people remain quarantined. Their excellent health care system wasn’t overwhelmed and their numbers are still far better than Belgium. Brussels the seat of the European Union has had the most sickness and death, Italy, Spain, France, Britain all doing more poorly than America and Canada. Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, South Korea all have done better with their early closing of airports, aggressive quarantining of migrants, social distancing and masks.  

Antibody testing in Iceland showed half the population is infected but shows no expression of disease. Of those who express the disease 80% of cases are mild. 

Mainstream media, continuing to use arts students ignorant of science and statistics almost universally fail by constantly reporting deaths as absolute numbers rather than numbers per hundred thousand or per million which is the correct and useful way to present scientific data rather than the fear mongering and emotive manner used to fan the mass hysteria which sells news and gives politicians unprecedented peace time power increasingly abused.  Stanford Studies show that positive tests are over reporting disease rates by hundredfold. Perhaps 20% of the west coast are already infected. Cruise ship data confirm all the evidence that the virus is 10 times deadly in susceptible populations, old and sick already ,but 1/10 as illness producing in 20 to 50 year olds. The computer projections have been off again most likely because of the amazing response of doctors and nurses and the cooperation and work of billions under attack. 

Taiwan the most successful and best of all has like most of the eastern democracies maintained work and managed the economy to the best of their ability. Lockdowns in Singapore and elsewhere have varied with close adherence to social distancing and safety. China has ramped up production in a further attempt to gain economic dominance over the west already foreclosing on the massive loans that they had extend and acquiring property thereby.  China’s neighbours, used to her aggression, see little doubt that she is in an all out economic and unconventional war.

What I was taught in urban combat military training was that the first terrorist bomb is for the civilians and that the second bomb or sniper attack is for the first responders, doctors and nurses. China’s personal protection gear, according to the Netherlands was 90% defective.  It has killed care workers surely.  250 respirators were defective and would have killed patients in Canada. Thermometers under registered temperature.  Trudeau gave 16 tons of high quality personal protective gear in exchange for China’s deadly returns. 

CSIS , the Canadian spy agency said that Chinese Communist Party had infiltrated government, media and universities to the highest level.  Left leaning politicians and others from the west have had unprecedented investments and special back room sweet deals that have made them millions of dollars and helped them become what Lenin called them, ‘useful fools’.  Only when their ‘conflicts of interest’ and investments are exposed does the truth come out. 

Even now the Canadian government is in league with the Chinese Communist Party in testing a vaccine, not surprisingly made for this specific virus and ready to roll before all the competing vaccines are coming out.  Vaccines are a many billion dollar business. They have attracted Bill Gates the greatest financial shark of the era who has committed billions to the production of vaccines in China.  

The flu vaccine, unlike previous vaccines before it, was of highly dubious value.  Yet it was associated with draconian measures of enforcement and indeed threw into question the previous successful vaccines that saved so many lives. 

Today some are encouraging fascist tyranny and totalitarian state power in keeping businesses closed and people out of work until a vaccine can be developed. People now must  remain prisoners at the whim of governments indefinitely.  They  claim that a vaccine and social chipping are necessary. Social chips are mandated in China, tracking and monitoring at it’s finest and increasingly celebrated in the mainstream .  ‘Chipping’ is celebrated in the west by those who prefer it to carrying credit cards.  My dog has such a chip.  Cattle and slaves were branded. It was called the ‘mark of the beast’ . 

Democrats have said that they would rather America die than the Republicans remain in power.  Liberals in Canada have all but erased democracritic gains of a century. Free speech is gone with Comedians fined, broad definitions of ‘hate speech’, censorship in social media and increasing censorship with words like Islamophobia and ironically Homophobia and now Racism. Meanwhile the Climate Change Cult had also used computer ‘projections’ which wrongly overstated their concerns by a thousand fold suggesting that tomorrow the end would be nigh when indeed the computer errors were in numbers of zero.  The Climate Change fear mongering  prophecies were for a hundred years or a  thousand years hence.  I never mattered that their prophecies like the disappearance of ice caps never occurred because all that mattered was the brand. .  

A great spiritual war of the profundity of Revelations is waging.  Godless aetheist communists and dilute Christians and greedy Jews and Ferrari driving Buddhists and Hindus who have rejected family all are vying for cosmetic appliances and surgery in the greatest ‘denial of death’ movement known.  If I keep my head in my ass I may not die, ever, the adherents argue, screaming on social media from inside their prisons. Never before have so many had so much and now they are imprisoned in guilded cages while the Third World citizens begin  to starve. HIV killed a few million in the west and hundreds of million in the Third World. Well the west is on holiday the third world dependent on commerce, trade and travel slowly dies.  We were bloated with cheap trade with Communist China which arrested a million spiritual Falun Gong to steal their body parts for the extension of life of the leading CCP members.  Millions of ethnics in Gulags.  Slave labour and poverty all contributing to Amazon owner Jeff Bezo’s becoming the worlds first Trillionaire. It’s just business.  Virtue signalling girls and boys in downtown Toronto and Montreal flouted their latest blood stained garments from Wish and showed off their blood diamonds. 

Meanwhile leaders like Trudeau flip their pretty hair and virtue signal and put another wing on their palaces.  In face of plague, the world descends into medieval’  as criminals stockpile weapons, militias acquire military hardware and common hard working citizens are taxed to pay for the increasing legions of criminals and unemployed. The good citizens are disarmed too for the benefit of the evil and bad.  Disarmament has historically always been a precurser  used by dictators moving to all out war on the citizens.  Like the Nazi’s they insist everything is done ‘for your safety’.  

Thèse are strange times.  In the Bhagavad Gita the boy king Arjuna objects to Krishna that the war is between his family members and Krishna says that is always the way with war. The only question is whether to join in or not. To be a monk and isolate or not to be a monk and participate.  Even that choice is taken from us in Hotel California, ‘We are all just prisoners here, of our own device.’

People are so scared and unwilling to admit it, the media fanning fear to the level of 1984 group speak and mindless parroting of propaganda catch phrases.  They even trust the government.  They would rather  Communist China’s Xi Jinping than America’s Trump. Meanwhile Trudeau calls for another bong and party goes on. 

 It’s 60’s psychedelic with China providing fentanyl killing hundreds more than their other favourite export Covid 19.  

I simply don’t know. I calm psychotic people. I reassure the anxious.  I agree with the paranoid and they are comforted. I recommend Monty Python’s « Look on the Bright Side of Life Utube Clip ».  

In an act of civil disobedience I’ve driven off into the wilderness, like the dessert father’s before me. I hope to survive longer than the Mad Trapper of Canada the last hermit, killed for wanting to be away from the maddening crowd.   

Maybe in solitude with healing nature I will be able to return to the city, where the lemmings crowd desperately together rather than live freely apart and face the absurdity of life Camus so well described in his classic, the Plague.  

I remember my WWI patient who survived 4 years of trench warfare telling me. ‘The bullet must have your name on it’.  Go ahead, sunshine, if hiding away helps, hide away.  The generation of « Carpe Diem! » has come full circle to the generation of  « Be safe. »   No wonder the young never listen.

Somewhere a couple is loving against the law, a modern day Romeo and Juliet. . 

April 24, 2020, Covid 19, Quarantine

The denominator is critical in the death toll. Morbidity and mortality statistics have always been a per cent age of population.  This putting the deaths and testing together as somehow related is confusing the reporting.  The deaths are important and thankfully there have been fewer than feared thanks to the measures taken.  The testing merely tells us how many tests we have and how much testing is being done. We must then extrapolate that number against the known numbers in other systems.

Iceland and Quarantined cruise ship data cause us to believe that 50% of the population who get Covid 19 will not know it.  Already we knew 70% of cases would be mild because the under 65 group is more immune.  Now we have data out of California suggesting maybe 20% of the west coast population have already come in contact with the virus.  Covid 19 is probably 10 x more deadly than the average flu. 

It will spread through the community until everyone has had it or we have a vaccine which will cause the body to believe it has had a mild form so that it will create protective antibodies.  The lockdown was only to slow the spread of the disease so we could ensure the health care system was not overwhelmed. Without hospital beds and resources the death rate jumps 5 to 10 times greater in risk populations.  Instead of 1 in 10 over 80’s dying , 5 to 7 over 80 die.  Now we’ve had the resources.  Amazing measures have been taken to meet the crisis in the west and we’ve succeeded.  The third world remains at risk because of bad government, war, lack of education and scarcer resources.

Here we are over the crest in the wave. Deaths over time are declining. The long stretched terribly depleted and miserably managed health care resources have been bolstered.  Never again should the government steal the health care resources from the citizens to have party money and use the money taxed for health care be moved to to vanity projects.  

Only because of the extraordinary efforts of the greatest men and women have we been able to get through this initial onslaught. The problem will continue and the second wave of disease in the autumn will need more hospital beds, more ICU beds, more essential personnel, less management, less talkers, less marketeers, more doers, more asylums, more treatment centres, and better safer elderly care.  If not, like the swine flu in the 30’s the death rate will be 10 times what this is now.  If our government which has locally been incredible and nationally incompetent rises to the occasion  we will fare well in the coming year of continued Covid 19 disease, social distancing and facial masks.  Herd immunity will come in 1-2 years. The only guarantee that more such ‘virus spills’ from errant labs and lying countries don’t occur will be holing the culprits accountable.

The scientific and medical emergency is passing and nearly past.  This is an ‘emergency’. It has a beginning and end. It’s occurred in the present. The problem with the politico’s was that they were ‘crying wolf’ for funding all manner of nonsense with increasing hysteria,hyperbole, egotism and emotional bullying. Claiming  a ‘climate emergency’ and demanding a gouging greedy carbon tax as a never ending demand for more and more money for a speculative threat that would cause death in a hundred years time has done its damage to the credibility of scientists. Claiming more and more natural phenomena were a product of their cult non specific formulations was increasing ridiculous..  This disease has come and will continue but the emergency is passing. It will be done in days or weeks. We’ve crested the wave.

Now the issue is increasing health care resources while returning economies to peacetime war preparedness footing. It’s no use to save everyone this week if they are going to die next week from poverty, suicide,other diseases, and even war. Already China is eying the weakness of the western world and offering loan shark loans which if not paid at exorbitant interest then allow these gangsters to take over ports, towns and perhaps countries. Australia and New Zealand and other neighbours of the communist aetheists have stopped allowing them to gain ‘controlling interest’ in anything they buy.  Everyone should do it because China long ago declared ‘unconventional war’ on the Pacific Rim and wants to be the leader and controller of the Pacific Rim.  It doesn’t matter to them that Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and even SAN Francisco and Seattle SAN Diego, and Vancouver might have other plans.  Communists have never been accused of sensitivity.

My patients with cancer need to have the oncology and palliative care beds and surgical ICU’s restored so health care for the rest of the community, not just those with Covid 19 can progress.  We need manufacturing and saniety in the community. Quarantine has already caused a man who was prepped to kill to go over the edge and go on a killing spree in Nova Scotia where lock down of the unarmed made them sitting ducks. More of this is to be expected. Already criminals have rampaged through cities stealing from business and like the wild animals that have come into the city these creatures have thought they can take over. Downtown is boarded up because government has stopped tasking tasking police with catching criminals and increasing used them to harrass law abiding citizens over all manner of silly autocratic legalism. It’s simply time to regain the city and for the government to step back despite the lust for power that leaders like Trudeau feel and desire.  Government must be contained.  Government is essential but it’s also potentially cancerous.  

We sacrificed our freedom and we did well.  Now it’s time to prepare to go shopping and camping and get back to work.  May 1 or May 15 are dates for the expansion of the population that can leave their homes as the end of lockdown and quarantine begin. The social contract wasn’t a carte blanche ticket for megalomaniac leaders to run roughshod over provincial and individual rights. I think there’s a lot to be said of the tunnel vision folk who say not till June or July or September or worse until a vaccine is developed. It’s not all about Covid 19. Reality bites.

Communist China’s war factory has not even slowed down.  Iran is threatening allies and moving forward with its goal to destroy America and Israel. Terrorists continue to murder Christians, Jews, Hindus, and Buddhists.I China is putting out new air craft carriers and rocket launchers on schedule. The hawks are waiting for any weakness to exploit.  China used the good will and nativity of the West against. It feigned social development while gaining material wealth for a few stripping the poor of more not less freedom and dignity.

Now it’s time to show our strength as we have faced this crisis and shown our strength of heart. Now it’s time for resolve and also to accept that all levels of our burocracy and government have been infiltrated by foreign elements and communist forces that would see Canada enslaved. No longer the true north strong and free but the branch plant of the Communist Borg.  

In medicine we heal a body and return it to health and function.  We have gone along way to healing the horribly broken health care system in Canada. Too much good of the world has been taken by government for greed,  nefarious deeds and corruption. The hard work of Canadians shouldn’t go to funding scab voters,  terrorists, supporting dictators and building partial residences for nepotistic rulers. We need to focus on home and getting it in order.  

Now I’m going to dress, makemy bed, and walk the dog.  Notice, as an adult I’m taking care of myself and my home, then I’ll branch out and help those around me. For too long we’ve allowed adolescent thinking to prevail, people who can’t even hold a job have been telling everyone how to live their lives. All manner of people who wanted to be leaders and critics without any practical experience or training. Now we may see these Hitler wantabe’s moved to the back shelf while more reasonable and responsible adults have prevail. 

I’d like to thank our Premier Horgan, Health Minister Dix, and Chief Medical Officer Bonnie Henry again for their remarkably competent and enlightened service and at times true genius. I’d like to thank UBC and the great minds in the Department of Medicine. The College of Physicians and Surgeons and other Colleges of professional groups have been amazing too. We are truly blessed in BC for our caring competent leadership. I am truly thankful and hope our local governments continue to protect and raise us up in the coming weeks when the new crisis of politics,  economics and unconventional war move to centre stage.  

Thank you Jesus Christ for being a light in the darkness and showing by your sacrifice and service what humans are truly capable of. Thank you for all the saints of all religions and all the hero’s , those unsung most because in every neighborhood there have been those who have carried the load and volunteered without orders to do what was needed. Thank you for the plumbers, the grocery store staff, electicicians, truckers, internet technicians, bus drivers and of course Doctors,nurses,pharmacists, and researchers. I’m thinking too of the parents homeschooling while working from home, all the young people who have got groceries for the old and left them on their door steps, all those wonderful essential workers who have risked disease and even death and all those who have stayed at home for the sake of community and the vulnerable in our midst.  It’s truly amazing to be old stock Canadian and see the new growth in our ideal of compassion and strength take root.  Hallelujah!
