June 14, 2020 The Plague of-Cultural Marxism/Social Communism

We had the plague, then the lockdown, then the riots.

Cultural Communism, Social Marxism are just a couple of the names for the wedding of Marx and Freud at the Frankfurt School.
The essence of Marxism was the paranoid position. I and them. The beogeoisie and the proletariat. Marx said there needed to be perpetual class warfare between the rich and poor till Communism won and there was a classless proletariat society.

It was a rather reductionist, simplistic, and wrong. Fabianism, the socialist theory that said there were three classes, the upper, middle and lower gave rise to the successful Union movements. The Middle Class was the Guilds.  Ultimately a just society would put this group of meritocracy and competence central with elevation of the poor to wealth through education and cooperation.

Where ever Marxist paranoia “I and them’ by contrast has been imposed, the poorer have become poorer and the elite rich richer.  War has prevailed.
.
Cultural marxism and social communism moved away from economics to social groups and then joined them, rather arbitrarily, by the word ‘oppressed’. So the salt shaker ‘oppresses’ the ‘pepper shaker’.  Men oppress women. Whites oppress blacks. Yellow oppresses red.   It goes on ad infinitum.  Leonard Cohen called it the ‘war’ and said the odd is at war with the even.

Lenin introduced the term ‘dictatorship of the proletariat’ .  Communism has forever remained dictatorship, a gangsterism construct  always justified by dubious intellectual authority.  Intellectualism was the equivalent to Aetheist Godless Communism as the Church was to the Monarchy. To communism the State or the dictatorship, by individual or  committee.

The dictator then makes  a list of people with grievances and uses ‘divide and conquer’  to gain greater control.   Favourites played against one another in the ‘social marxism’ or cultural communism ‘oppression’ flavour of the month.

All women are oppressed. All men are bad.
All blacks are oppressed. All whites are bad.
All criminals  are good. All police are bad

Take any ‘binary’ and in Marxism, the Climate denier ‘oppresses’ the ‘climate change saint’.  The whites oppress the blacks.  It’s a tedious moralistic judgemental, informal based paranoid society as a result.

The trouble is in African nations dominated by Blacks , the blacks oppress the Indians, Chinese and Whites. But as this doesn’t fit the State assigned narrative, it’s ignored.
Women who lie and falsely accuse men, putting thousands in jail for untold years out of spite are still  invariably the ‘oppressed’ and the ‘abused’.  The white slaves that were taken by the black Barbary Coast pirates are excluded from the narratives. Similarly the whole history of Communist murder, 80 million killed in USSR, 100 million killed in China, and half the country, 3 million murdered in Cambodia. All that is ignored. The lie is central.  The bigger the lie the better.

Generalizations and what Piaget called ‘concrete’ thinking, the pre adolescent, inability to abstract and think critically are the rule. Media plays predominantly to the masses which average less than high school.  College level thinking is the minority.  Hence mob violence. ANTIFA. Black Lives Matter and other Communist groups.

I don’t say that the so called ‘right’ don’t do the same. The Nazis’, National Socialists, did the same. Che Quevara jungle warfare is taught at West Point. Right now everything that was used by the Nazis to gain control and destroy Germany is being played out , not by National Socialists ,but by Communists,  International Socialists, in the world today.

Ironically Islam is a partner in this as politics make strange bedfellows. Hitler and Stalin were allies.  Now Islam is also a construct of perpetual war.  Whereas perpetual war for Communism leads to ‘worker paradise’ with ‘dictatorship by the party’, Islam, the religion of peace, claims that when all are Muslim, then the ‘religion of peace’ will prevail.  The ends justify the means.

The difficulty with gangsterism and communism is that the other guy will turn on you when he has an opportunity so Hitler at the height of his power turned on his ally Stalin and attempted to invade Russia.

That’s where we are today.  It’s not rocket science. I once wondered why the Mensheviks, the Russian majority communist party, lost control to the bolsheviks, the minority communist party. The reason was simple. Lenin, Tolstoy, Stalin and Molotov, Bolsheviks, promoted Assasination and Bank Robbery. They were cold blooded killers and  and thieves . They were the violent mob leaders and the Mensheviks were the moderates,  against murder and bank robbery.  Lenin and the Bolsheviks overthrew the Russian Parliamentary democracy and began to rewrite history.

Today the Democrats are supporting violence, mob rule and robbery.  History repeats itself.

18 yo - The Latvians

Baiba was Latvian. Naturally as a Canadian I knew nothing about Latvia.  I was immersed in the propaganda of my country taught pretty lies in school and rather boring history.  Older I’d come to know the extraordinary tale of Louis Riel, how the Feberal Liberals loved prostitutes and how ouija boards were used in the legistislature of Manitoba.  As a child I was subjected to the heavily censored chalk tasting history of my country. I was given a geography that told no tale of why these countries were as they were.  The truth wasn’t the Marxist lie of ‘good guys and bad guys’, the paranoid position of the binary but rather a wonderful tapestry of family, passsion, romance ,intrigue, bullies, and the brave.
Vecsmanin, Baiba’s grandmother had received her Bachelor degree around the time of WWI.  Her husband had been an Army General in Latvia, on the inner council of Stalin, until he was one day purged along with so many others.  Stalin, Lenin, Molotov et al had been the Bolsheviks who overthrew the moderate Mensheviks. The Bolsheviks distinguishing feature was their blood thisty nature. The Mensheviks hadn’t wanted to assassinate and get their money by robbing banks.  The Bolsheviks with their superior knife and pistol debate and endless cash funding  beat  the leftist intellectuals who preferred endless trivia hair splitting, sloganeering,  drinking coffee and vodka  and having sex with underage girls.
Alexander Kerensky, Prime Minister of Russia, the last democratic leader before the Lenin’s military coup backed in part by Wall Street money, « dictatorship of the proletariat’ which has to date been ‘communism’ or ‘international socialism’ it’s other name.  International socialism was distinguished from the National Socialism of Nazi Germany. There the Brown Shirts were the low brow thug equivalent of their Bolshevik contemporaries.
Canada’s history was surprisingly dominated by communism in my teen age years despite the fact that Russia had targeted American (Canada included) with nuclear weapons short years before.  Quebec was a hot bed of binary intellectualism and Pierre Trudeau who would become Prime Minister, a card carrying communist.  At the time I liked his red carnation.
Maija, Baiba’s mother escaped Latvia with Vecsmamin fleeing before the Communist hoards of WWII, the ones who would see the destruction of Germany as the beginning of the Communist overthrow of the world for themselves.  Only after the pablum propaganda of Canadian history teaching would I learn of the division of Berlin, the Berlin air lift, the Ptomkin villages, the Katyn Massacre and the hundreds of millions murdered around the world by communists.  I remember Maija sharing personal stories of their time under Communist rule and being careful not to shock me too much. It was very much like a Matrix red pill or blue pill situation as the immigrants would share their stories which were ignored by the government.  The liberal  promoted was propagating terrible lie.
I remember when Aleksander Solzhenitsyn’s heavily censored books appeared exposing the slave labour camps that were the back bone of Russian industry.  Maija would send her family in Latvia money for tires because though the central government had finally produced cars that could be bought they’d not produced tires to go with the cars.  Even today I find myself feeling like I’m in an endless loop of Invasion of the Body Snatchers as I listen to Canadians old and young who simply refuse to believe the truth of those who have experienced first hand what every year a new politician proposes as the communist/socialist utopia.
I would talk with my father and he’d tell me that what I was learning was true and that he and my mother had to accept the nonsense we’d learned in school about the world so we could learn mathematics and sciences. I remembered coming home and sharing the learning I’d had at school as a child and their later hushed arguments.  But now I was an adult and set out to learn the truth that my education and government denied me.
Years later I’d talk to Serbians and Rhodesians and live in Mexico,  London and the United States only to return to Canada and again be in this kindergarten dominated by bureaucratic bullies who refused to read Arendt’s studies on the ‘banality of evil’.  Finally as a psychiatrist I’d love to read Scott Peck’s A Road Less Travelled and later the follow up People of the Lie.   The more I traveled around the world the more I’d learn but feel that in Canada so much was censored and could not be shared because there was this big ‘lie’ , the prevailing narrative.
Communists were aetheists. The religion of the state had replaced all other religions. There would be no other gods but the State and Lenin was his first prophet.  A Chilean professor would pull out her hair sharing with me how putrid the politician discussions were at the university where the Canadians were so ‘apathetic’.  Here ‘apathy’ is considered a virtue, Apathy is what defines jail and asylum populations.
At Maija’s table and in the Latvian community I’d meet for the first time White Russians who had fought for democracy against the dictatorship of communism. I’d meet Germans who had fought for the Germans in WWII on the Eastern front. I’d later meet Russians who’d show me that the American Hollywood propaganda about WWII was simply not true in Europe. The numbers of dead simply did not lie.  Without Russia the Nazis would have prevailed. Yet Stalin and Hitler had initially been best of buds and formed an alliance of dictators against the western weak democracies.  The tales of the Pacific War were closer to truth but the American Hollywood approach to the European war would be anathema to my learned friends in London.  My parents were Scottish Irish, Old Canadian, British Stock and we’d talk about school and wheat prices over the linoleum kitchen table.. Meals were primarily times to eat.  Discussion occurred while working under cars among men or while having tea with Mom.
Baiba’s family always had white table cloths and meal time was a time of conversation.  Vecsmamin was the greatest of Latvian cooks and I’d be the envy of the community because I’d be so close to the fountain of flavour. .
« When my grandfather was killed everything that we had was lost,, « Maija told me.  « Overnight there was no income no home. We were essentially outlawed by the state.  Vecsmamin had to do whatever she could so we could survive. Those were hungry times.  She sewed for neighbours, got odd work from friends and she cooked. When we were in the refugee camps everyone said that Vecsmamin could make shoe leather taste like a feast. »
I’d go on expeditions with the two of them in the forest where they’d find fancy mushrooms. My father had taken me into the woods with him and taught me the plants which the Natives had used for food. My mother taught me the nutritional and medicinal value of the plants she grew and here I would often be in the woods with this family learning what herbs they’d used to make water taste and be nutritious when there was no other food.  The trouble was with translation. They knew the Latvian names for the plants but not the English worlds.
Dad had been the same. « These are good for salads and these are like potatoes. I’ve eaten them especially when we were hungry. But I don’t know what they’re called., Billy »
For me, raised on meat and potatoes the Vecsmamin cuisine  all exotic and wonderful.  As well there was always wine and conviviality. Baiba was the most beautiful girl in the world. Her brother Paul, a very funny handsome young artist,  and Baiba‘ s younger sister, quiet but wise and soon  to become a sultry beauty like a young Elizabeth Taylor..
We all danced too. As a family they came to the functions of the Ken Mathews Dance Studio. Later we’d attend all the Royal Winnipeg Ballet season.  Baiba had been a ballerina from childhood.
Vecsmamin did yoga in the living room each morning. That wasn’t what the grandmother’s were doing in my neighbourhood. The first time I saw her doing a head stand I was admittedly surprised. She’d demonstrate her hatha yoga technique and turn out to be a human pretzel. She’d continue doing yoga until she was over a hundred.  By then her activities once counted as bizarre and foreign were admired by all.
I was interested in spirituality and art.  Maija and her family were too. They were nominally Lutheran at some time but the conversations went more to the strange mix of Christian and pagan spirituality of old Europe.  I’d later love Herman Hesse and grasp the flavour of this deeply spiritual tradition in his Nobel Prize Winning books like Steppenwolf  and Narcisisus and Goldmund. I’d love Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann and later love Joseph Cambell and Carl Jung.   I began reading the great European Traditional literature.  This would continue but began in the discussion at the Vecsmamin  table.  My artist friends at the time were becoming Rosicrucians and Buddhists. It was an extraordinary time of exploration among the creative artists of the day. Everyone was sharing authors and artists and insights they’d found.
The house was full of plants too. An orange tree with miniature oranges stood in the corner overhanging the table. There was an oleander tree as well. My aunt loved oleander and would take us to a favourite restaurant in Toronto where we’d sit among oleander. Here was this house that was half conservatory. Like my mother Maija had a particularly green thumb.
The Assiniboine Park Conservatory with little paths in a jungle had been my favourite place since a child. In winter when I was a child and we had visitors , usually my aunt, my father asked where I’d like to go, I’d shout ‘the jungle.’  As a family we’d don parkas and overshoes and drive to Assiniboine Park. Then we’d walk around the little paths, a tiny space really, the adults talking, the humidity and heat a delicious treat in the cold and dry freezing Winnipeg winter. I loved to throw pennies to the fish there.   After we’d go to the elegant Conservatory restaurant where we’d have tea and eat pastry.
Now here was Baiba’s family with their own conservatory.
Baiba and I by now had an illicit relationship.  Somehow a sexual nuclear bomb had exploded between us and we did our best to keep it a secret.  She was a year younger than me and had become a student at the dance school.  It was about her 18th birthday that matters changed. I don’t know the date or technicality. Before Baiba sex was exciting but after Baiba it was transformative.  Somehow the local biplane acquired rockets and the sky was no longer the limit.
I used to drink red wine and find the world became rosy. Girls breasts always seemed bigger and rounder and more inviting too.   I was fascinated in those days by the Tarot of the Rose and studying the tarot deck.  I ‘d later be interested in the rose as the virgin mother symbol.  I loved studying Robert Graves.
At the University of Winnipeg I was taking my economics to complete my Gr. 12 and later would find Paramahansa Yognanda’s book, Autobiography of a Yogi in the United College Theological Library.  I began studying theatre and took Literature of the Bible with Dr. Carl Ridd and studied DH Lawrence in English.  The world transformed from black and white to a myriad of colours.  It was so dynamic once the dance and Baiba and the oleanders trees filled my world.  I was alive in a way I’d not been since Nina and that had been such a brief time.  A boy in love is a wonderful thing. For him. I suspect others found me tedious but I wrote poems and songs and danced and couldn’t wait the extra second to be in the presence of this Venus.  Every word and move she made became sacred.
It was the 70’s and ‘all we need is love’ was the theology of the contemporary day. The Beatles still prevailed. I loved Simon and Garfunkel.  Maija made fun of my liking ‘folk music’ considering the  American folk country scene as contemporary cowboy music. She loved Mozart and considered folk music the ancient music of Europe. The Latvians were great singers and were held together by the truly uplifting and beautiful music of their nation.
I’d join the Latvian Dance Society and learn these lovely quaint dances which we’d take to compétitons with other ethnic groups. Soon I was mixing with Philipinos, Italinans,  Germans, Scots, Africans, Brazilians.  Baiba’s family were very much involved in the Winnipeg Folk Festival and her brother Paul would eventually become the Mayor of the annual event. Each ethnic community would put together a venue showcasing their food and customs, songs, dances and costumes.  Baiba naturally became the Latvian queen. She’d made all her clothing with her mother who was a great seamstress in her own right. The two of them would make their gowns for the ballet and all of Baiba’s costumes in the basement where Vogue patterns would be spread about the room reminding me of Dad with his room full of blue prints.
The house was an actual university factory with everyone creative.  I’d entered into this university factory where a thousand activities were going on each day.  The smells of Vecsmanins kitchen, the sound of Maija’s sewing machine, Paul painting and Baiba insisting I join her in complicated dance choreography in the living room where her sister was reading a book.
Maija told us stories of the war and translated for Vecsmamin.  Visiting dignatories, great religious and political leaders would visit to pay homage to Vecsmamin as much as to eat her famed soups and delicate pastries.  I’d be introduced, then Baiba and I would leave so they could speak freely in Latvian and Russian. Looking back I’d be amazed at who I’d meet and the ideas I’d encounter there and then.
Maija had loved a man who was known for his spirituality, a politician and mystic and talked of the sacred in her land where the spirit and spiritual had been so important to the freedom the youth experienced before the war and before the invasions by the Germans and the Russians.
« Journey to the East’ by Herman Hesse talked of the spiritual revival of the Lutheran and European community of the time and this rise of intellectualism and spiritualism  in  art and consciousness.  The Latvian and other East Europeans I met had such grief for the losses they suffered. Years later I’d read Hitch. Hikers’ Guide to the Galaxy when the Vorgons , a bureaucratic empire building race destroyed the Earth so they could build a super highway through the galaxy. I thought of the Vorgons, these great stupid poeople who were so like the  Communists with their paranoid binary low brow thug thinking which they thought so brilliant. Vorgons.
I’d begin meditating then. The Paramahansa Yogananda Foundation ‘s Self Realization Fellowship had a series of teachings mailed weekly in what we joked was ‘mail order enlightenment’.  I’d begin to study Patanjali and read Emerson and Thoreau. I’d become a pretzel like Vecsmamin.  Vivekananda had been the first Indian representative to the world congress of religions coming to America in the late 1800s while Yogananda came for the second World Congress of Religions in the 1920’s. He stayed and developed an Ashram in California near San Diego.  I’d eventually join a group of men in Winnipeg, one who was a member of the symphony and another who would become a lawyer. We’d gather in a house with incense burning and a few straight backed seats facing forward. We’d not talk but chant a few of Yognandas’s song accompanied by the Harmonium I’d eventually learn to play. Then we’d meditate for an hour before leaving without any adieu or words. But this would come later, after I’d met the Quakers in Oxford where Baiba and I would do pretty much the same thing but with many more people together sharing the silence.  I’d love years later learning that my Dutch  mentor Dr. Bernie’s favourite prayer had been « Come, Holy Spirit Come. ».
Mostly I loved making love with Baiba, being in love with Baiba, being young and a dancer and so deeply involved in the passion and spirit of youth.
My roommate Fern was just as in love with the woman he too would go on to marry and have children with. Each of us  thought our love was unique and original and never known by anyone else before. Meanwhile everyone was doing it.  Everyone in Ken Mathew’s would go on to marry. Everyone was falling in love in the dance world, meeting and marrying, students and teachers alike.  All of us teachers would laugh and talk about the students being smitten while the students would laugh and talk about us teachers and our encounters with Cupid. .
When Baiba and I finally admitted we were dating, everyone knew.  Ken and Marie at the dance school  thanked us for our discretion but we were so  glad we were’out’ .What had been taboo and the forbidden fruit, hiding our love from family and work, now just became part of the community and even more fun.  Baiba passed from student to teacher and life continued.
My parents loved Baiba though my mother didn’t like Maija at all. Dad of course did but the family as a whole was an organic force. Families were entities of their own and each had it’s character and dynamic.  I’d love to watch our families in love over the years with all the foibles of neighbours. Mom and Dad both liked Maija more when Baiba and I divorced. Dad thought Paul was a great guy.

I’d go on to marry Baiba in the months to come and we’d be married a short time, merely a couple of years, this whole time of my life with Baiba relatively brief. I’d stay in Winnipeg for medical school and Baiba would follow dance to the big city of Toronto. She’d done all she could to advance her career in Winnipeg. After London it had been hard for her to shift gears whereas I having been enriched in my study and learning in Europe and England found university alive and meaningful. When I’d left it before I’d thought it staid and old.   We parted while I stayed friends with the family, her brother Paul, who became one of Winnipeg’s most avante garde artists continued a close friend.  I loved to return to that table under the oleander tree and visit with the family.  Maija a midwife had in many ways inspired my going onto medicine. I was so impressed by her and her nurse friends and the work of medicine. In Oxford I’d meet the Quarker medical student and be moved by the university which I’d found before so slow and stifling. Eventually I’d approach Dr. Carl Ridd my Christian mentor and take his advice to pursue excellence and scholarship.

One day in the University of Winnipeg Chapel I’d be on my knees praying, asking God what I should do.  Stepping out of the chapel I encountered my friend Glen who said he was going to write the MCAT. I thought I’d tag along. I signed up for the test that day and thought if I do well on this it might be my answer from God. If I do poorly I can return to my other plan to be a play wright.  Without any study or preparation I aced the exam.  But by then I truly loved biology and chemistry had become sacred.  Possibly that was the experience I’d had with LSD’s partial influence.  But that’s another story.  L Baiba and I became lovers, married and went on to bicycle across Europe and live in London before returning home to start radically new lives. .

Preoccupations of a Great Leader

I’m not talking about Justin Trudeau. He’s not a leader let alone a great leader. I’m referring instead to the Hillary and Bill Clintons, the Bush Family,  Donald Trump and Melania and Ivanka family.  These are like the kings and queens of old.  Putin and Xi Ling are like them as was King Henry and Churchill and so many of the leaders of history, like Constantine and Ataturk.

They shared in common an appreciation for the land where they lead and the people of the land.  Today we attribute this to the aboriginals but it’s universal. The Scottish people identified with Scotland.  Not as a nation but as a place. Like Indians and Chinese and Nepalese do. Just like Kenyans and Chileans.  They identify with the slant of the sun, the taste of air , the mountains or valleys , the waterways , the accent of the people, their tribal associations.  We think of the song lines of the Australian aboriginals but these are true of all the tribal people and the clans that followed and the people that lived under all the great political associations that used these originals relationships to strive for bigger and better things. The family company becomes the corporations. The corporation continues to look to authority of the original individual and family that began the firm.  Identification with these large groups gives meaning to lives.  But fundamentally it’s where we are born and where are people are from.

The great leaders of the world identified with the land and the people they lead.  Next they worried a whole lot about living long and well.  The longevity of a leader isn’t always that great.  Lieutenants, lowliest of military leaders, were dying in minutes coming off helicopters.  Snipers always try to kill the leader.  Assasins go for them too.  A great leader has great enemies.  Look at Mr. Trump and Mr. Obama if you don’t like the idea of looking at Mr. Stalin and Mr. Hitler. The latter lost whereas the former two survived their rule.  The winner writes history.  The world is continuing to live according to the military leaders of WWII, England, America, Russia, France and China.

The great leader knows his or her survival depends on the survival of his land and people. So great leaders have always focussed on defence. Sometimes like Israel’s Ben Gurion, a great leader can not only protect it’s borders and hold onto it’s land and people, He canexpand it’s defensive perimeter to greater advantage and protection.  The son of a wealthy father is expected to hold the father’s gains but too often in that microcosm it’s rags to riches in one generation then riches to rags in the next 2 or 3.  This issue of maintenance of wealth not increasing wealth but just holding on takes an enormous effort by a leader.  There is a constant struggle for domination.. Even the Dalai Lama’s peace loving people couldn’t stand up to the murdering unevolved communist thugs of China  who invaded Tibet. China, that running dog imperialist, invaded , colonized Tibet  and genocides his people.  China just keeps right on doing it too. The red hair of the Irish came from the constant invasion of Ireland  by the Vikings have the red hair genes, and happily raped and stole, even though the editors of Huffington Post say that’s not nice.  That’s been going on forever. Raids and pillage and theft. Rape is popular especially with the religion of peace. All of the Middle East was Christian or Zoroastrian before today’s religion of peace. White farmers are being butchered daily in the enlightened South Africa.

Of course the “ better sort “ don’t do this but their proxies might..  It’s strategy and tactics and takes enormous time and energy. Most of information is sought to protect against rebellion or invasion.  This is why it’s called ‘intelligence’.  Our autoimmune systems work in the same way and require a tremendous amount of the body’s time and energy. Just maintaining the status quo isn’t easy.  It’s not necessarily natural either. Neutrality may be desired but the Nazis, Communist aetheists, pagans  and countless religious radicals and their religions of the day haven’t been keen to leave well enough alone if there’s gold and land to be had along with virgins and slaves. All Utopian seekers are even more disastrous and wasteful than the real politic sort.

The great leaders can’t be smoking dope all day or doing opium or getting drunk in the morning. They can’t be living in the brothels or living a profligate life. Even Justin Trudeau has minders who ensure their puppet shows up relatively present despite the great number of occasions he’s acted and looked like he’s still recovering from a night of debauchery. He’s not a great leader.  Great leaders must have self control in action though as we saw with the great leader Krushchev they can really act a part when they need to. Unfortunately Trudeau can’t even act. Reagan could at least do that.

All great leaders historically have played their cards close to their chest because the world stage, politics and law, is a gambler’s game.  It’s all smoke and mirrors.  The great leader is a diplomat has the capacity to mobilize his own people. While in other fields of endeavour ‘transparency’ is the best, not in war, not in gambling.  Perhaps not in the pseudowar of diplomacy and sales even.  There’s a whole lot of drama and sleight of hand.  Mr. Chrétien, one of Canada’s great leaders, concealed his immense intelligence so as not to alienate the common man.  Unfortunately Trudeau has alienated all men and most women by not concealing his immense stupidity.

A great leader is busy and working and on call. He’s 24/7 at the helm. I don’t know where people get the idea that these people are living it up and walking on easy street. Even Trudeau a mere puppet whose been replaced wherever his handlers could do it with cut out dolls, has to maintain a tough schedule which has obviously been so overwhelming that he’s had more holidays scheduled than any leader I can think of. They’re probably mental health days in his case but they are exceptional.  By contrast great leaders must show up and be meeting and greeting and discussing and arranging and stroking this ego and putting down that ego every day of their reigns.  They’re constantly hounded too like celebrities without the benefit that celebrities have of just having to be pretty idiots at times.  The best of celebrities are like great leaders who are always working the room.  It’s not a pretty task. It’s not an easy task. It’s not a whole lot of couch and tv time.

The lower classes by contrast have a lot of down time. They go to work and they come home and they have time off. The greatest time for many was medieval so called dark age days when people did the same thing their father and grandfather did and the bar was pretty low except for taxes, disease and war.  Malthus times.  But there was job security and the wives didn’t leave you for lesbian lovers and the kids didn’t burn down the schools. It really once wasn’t so bad because there was that much change. Right now Canadians even those designated as in poverty have a higher standard of living than most of our earth’s population. The thousands of dollars which even a person on disability here can have and make is more than billions will ever have. There’s upward mobility here which is simply not possible in countries as corrupt as Haiti where the Clinto billions disappeared mysterious as so much money goes missing in that other great Banking Bermuda Triange, Pakistan.

It really helped too in th peen days if your job was to plant things and you had a hundred IQ then planting things was satisfying. Today with the advent of computers and competition with robots and every other person on the planet in the great internet connection if your IQ is only 100 you may not have a job. Then in the west at worst you have couch time and tv land and drugs are cheap like alcohol and there’s a great social net. Not like Muslim countries where there’s still a crazy demand for productivity and thefts are dealt with by cutting off limbs. The aetheists camps would also put you in a far harder place than where ever you were if you didn’t pull your weight. The Gulag wasn’t Auschwitz but it ranked right up there with all other slave labour work camps. Great leaders have to deal with this tendency of lots of folks to be disagreeable and slackards. The communists have killed millions , though they favour killing smart people, whereas in the west the tacky media gets upset with a policeman uttering a bad word.  There’s little comparison.  On it’s worst day the western democracies have mass demand for entry whereas the countries most people are coming from have really bad leaders and really corrupt systems and people can’t get out of the deadly neighbourhoods fast enough.

Great leaders have to deal with these problems. They also have to get people to give them money to deal with the problems. They’re the original go fund me where the buck stops.  The English and French leaders back in Napoleon’s day were always having trouble raising money for their wars.  Now they can’t get enough people on board to lynch tobacco company boards while in Canada Trudeau spent millions to put an ice rink on parliament hill when there’s a frozen river next door where thousands skate every year and have for hundreds of years. It’s one of the problems of having leadership that don’t care for their people and their land or even know it. Great leaders have to have their ear to the ground and it’s not easy.

Before the puppet Trudeau was crowned because his Uncle Castro had his way with his mother who got the Trudeau name to wed the west with the east to allow Pierre to raise Quebec up and finally pay back that bastard Wolfe who beat Champlain, leadership required some sort of training and experience and education.  In the days of the original dolphins the school was the dinner table.  In 17th century Europe, in the days of chilvary.everyone was playing war and your future allies would be your playmates. It’s marvellous to see the sons of the Queen of England being taught war and leadership in the military.  Those are two great leaders to be with lovely wives who have the great intelligence of Melania and even some of the shrewdness of Mrs. Obama.

I say this because the destruction of a society comes with the belittling of the leadership. You could argue against the man, like I do with Mad King George the III and  Justin Trudeau, but I don’t negate the leadership.  I am ashamed as a Canadian of my fellow Canadians who are so ill educated and ill experienced that they should have been taken in by a dynastic ploy of the lowest order in a democracy where meritocracy is supposed to rule. But now it’s all about fake news and denying the good and undermining the ‘position’.  This was what Hitler did. It’s what Lenin did before them. They strategically undermined the rule of law, the structure of the society and wanted not to overthrow an individual but rather they wanted a revolution. Nothing serves a revolution better than to have King George III as a ruler of the opposition.  Justin Trudeau has not only ruined the reputation of Canadians leadership hard earned by the likes of Chrétien, Mulroney and  Harper but within Canada itself there’s a willingness to chuck parliament itself because despite opposition Andrew Scheer being better than Trudeau by a long shot he’s not ‘great’.  Indeed Canadian leadership is rather anemic despite the amazing land we have with the amazing people.  Sadly testosterone is declining as fast as the feminists kill babies .

I like great leaders.  It’s not a job I want. I like the couch, Hagen daz and walking around in a ripped t shirt and underwear. I’d rather spend time with the my dog than XiLing. There’s no time for that with great leaders. They’re in the fray. They’re not on vacation. They’re doing a tough job.  The actual work that Trump or Clinton did was the same relatively speaking. The number of decisions made in a day whether right or wrong is huge.  I, like 90% of the rest of the country have an easier job than the great leaders. We might not eat as well and we won’t get to order a nuclear strike or shut down a drug dealer so our jobs are likely less exciting by a long shot but even if we have a dozen children around us with in-laws and such it’s not the circus that Moscow, London, Washington or Paris  is on any day.  I don’t doubt that these guys are working, unlike Trudeau who always appears like he’s a tad too wasted, and the dog ate his homework’s.  By contrast , these great leaders are doing a hell of a job.  They have perks.  They love their children.  Just as we all saw the love of the Obamas for their little ones we see the pride in Trump for his daughter Ivanko and his brilliant boy Baron.  They clearly feel good about the future they’re making for their children.  They have family and they get to wear nice clothes and ride in nice vehicles travel and see really neat inventions.  They get to know a whole lot of secrets which even PBS doesn’t tell us.  I’m not saying there aren’t perks but the great leaders work for them.

Trudeau and my spirituality

Every day Trudeau attacks my Canada and my people.  Every day he breaks another promise and steals more of our present and our future.  Every newsflash shows him partying and lying, looking high and generally nauseating me. Two thirds of doctors want him gone. It’s not enough that I’m not alone.  Every spiritual person I know sees his lust and ego but his hair, the propaganda, the lemming parade and special interests groups, like the corrupt Quebec millionaires and Saudi billionaires have their puppet. I retch.
Spiritually, I am taught to love my enemy.
But my favourite Christian theologian C.S. Lewis encouraged the soldiers in the Battle of Britain to resist the Germans.  The old testament David was a great warrior. Jesus carries the blood of David.  He’s not some peace nik. He had limits.
He taught love God and love your neighbour as yourself.
To understand my relationship with Trudeau I have to consider Bonhoffer who felt that Hitler deserved to die.  The Centaurians were converts to Christianity.  The American soldiers in Italy who fought back Nazis were in AA.  The Buddhist priests fought back against the atheist Chinese invaders while the Dalai Lama was fleeing to India.  The spiritual Indians fought the Muslims as did the Sikhs who had been massacred by the thousands.
I visited Meteora and Capadocia to meditate on the right path when the tyrants and lizards and bugs are in charge. The Lawyer Lenin over through the Russia duma democracy then re wrote history with countless lies but first killing millions before Stalin took over and killed so many millions more. Mao the atheist out killed them both with hundreds of millions dead while Hitler another socialist only killed mere millions in his gas chambers.
If I was killing babies and the only way to stop me was by killing me then I’d want you to stop me. The effete intellectuals of Toronto disparage the police while those protected students of Ottawa with their fat cat politicians and their short memories leave the soldiers in the field exposed. They’d rather spend money on new desks than armour.
I asked my sponsor what should I do if someone is hurting me. Defend yourself as best you can. But what about praying for your enemy. “There’s no time for praying in a firefight. You just react”.  But what about politics where Trudea’s attacks on democracy, freedom and the middle class, doctors and old people and business and farmers is a daily event.
Just as I struggle to think of something good to say about him, he opens his mouth with another utterance of elite stupidity and self serving deceit.  Yet my Christian aunt told me that if you have nothing good to say about them you should be quiet.  But the Dalai Lama is not quiet. Churchill took over from Chamberlain who like Obama had created a mess of world politics with his strategy of appeasement at any cost.  Then Churchill put a stop to that later when an early response would have saved countless lives.
Every time I’ve capitulated to government they’ve just taken more and more like all bullies do. Beurocrats have no ‘enough' switch. They’re ravenous and progressive. Arendt describes the beurocrats of Nuremberg as having the ‘banality of evil’.  I see that in the coward haughty eyes the beurocrats I know today, corrupted and silent. Locally 20 billion dollars of illegal drug trade took place every year for a decade or more and not one of the people who were paid to care lifted a finger to help. Instead they got rich and fat and the toll of dead went up.
I look at Trudeau and listen to him and I see a beta version of myself, self centred, arrogant, married to the wife desperate for money and clothes, slow, afraid.  She’s like his mother.  He married his dope head mother. Another dope head Trudeau.
And in politics they say it’s like a street fight. If you play pillsbury rules you really shouldn’t be in the game.  It’s a bout money and sex and all the Robert’s Rules of Order went out years ago when Pierre Trudeau shouted fuck then lied and said it was ‘fuddle duck’ then turned his tanks lose on Canadians so that one day his son could joke about whipping out some jet fighters. Both of them are nancy boys unlike the English men who serve in the military.  Pierre Trudeau was an effete intellectual who argued with his leftist and nazi friends in Montreal and Parisian cafes thinking himself so brave just as Justin Trudeau lives a safe life as a drama teacher with a trust fund.
And I feel that when he stops hitting me and hitting Canadians with his taxes and lies and favouritism and anti christian and anti doctor rhetoric I should take the spiritual high road. But Dalai Lama lost his country to Trudeau’s friends, the Chinese Communists. The anti semitic media focuses on Israel all the while the Chinese Communist government genocides.
How can i focus on the positive and forgive and forget and rise about the attack.  I read the propaganda and it’s daily liberal lies, the pornographic huffington post stuff that made playboy look like gospel reading by comparison.
I want to be loving. I want to do as God would have me do. I say Thy will be done. But I think of Bonhoffer and his response to Hitler and Churchill and now I hear Trump and Pence talking on behalf of millions of men an women who think Trudeau is a dangerous dork.  The UN is a disgusting atheist islam war machine that is everything that it was set up to be against.  The Chinese have become the greatest enemy since Hitler and are allied with Islam in hope that when the final days come they can kill them faster than they can be killed. Like the Pact between Hitler and Stalin

I don’t know. I ‘ll ask sponsors and ministers.

Refugee Warrior Army - The Free Syrian Force.

No one has suggested the obvious solution to the present problem of ISIS invasion.  ISIS is equivalent to the Hell’s Angels.  To put it in perspective the Hell’s Angels ride into your home town,  kill, main and pillage and people flee.  The reason the Hell’s Angels are able to do this is simply better training, superior weaponry and bad attitude.
There are two parts to the Syrian crisis.  The Syrian government leader, supported by Russia and clearly a tyrant caused a civil war.   This happened over and over again when other Satellites of Russian rebelled against Communist Atheist Dictatorships.  Eventually the people rose up and won. Communism died as a state and Russia went back to being a Christian nation.  The  civil war in Syria failed.  Moslems fought moslems.  Canada can't fight Russia and American and China aren't going to either. So the Syrian tyrant survives another day. The same occurred in Hungary.  The civil war is going on in only one part of Syria.
The other part of the equation is ISIS. Isis is in Syria, old Iraq and all over the place. ISIS is both and idea like atheist Communism but it's also a state.  Islamic State.  The idea is pure Moslem jihad.  It's the same idea the Christians fought against in Spain and Venice.  Jihad.  Saudi is probably backing ISIS now but they're not 'allies'.  They may be investors.  America probably backed ISIS in the beginning but not anymore.  ISIS has no 'allies', only "investors' right now.
We now have a million and a half refugees and migrants.  Refugees are escaping and would like to go home.  Migrants are just looking for a better place to live. Canada says they’re going to accept 25,000 tomorrow.  We're not sure if they're going to be Refugees or Migrants.  I'd rather have Mexican Migrants.  But we can accept Syrian 'refugees'.  Instead of 3 years of screening we would normally use before taking refugee/migrants we're going to accept them this week because Justin Trudeau made a political 'promise'.  So we turn the Department of Immigration into a Fast Food joint. Give them a place to live.
Britain accepted refugees in the early part of WWII.  The difference there is that Britain armed their refugees.  They were called the Free French and Free Poles.   They prepared for D Day.
Watch Justin Trudeau ’s behaviour (don’t trust his smooth upper class privileged boy words).  He  give the Hell’s Angel’s California.  He says , let ISIS win. In WWII, the leader who said that was Chamberlain.  Winston Churchill was the other guy.  It was an Islamist Jihad convert who attacked Parliament. ISIS, like the Communist atheists before them, used propaganda to convert Canadians.  No one doubted that Communist Russia got it's nuclear weapon capacity because of traitors in Canada and the US.  The same traitors today leave to go join ISIS and plot to blow up Canada.
So we’ll let those who don’t want to live in California under a tyranny of killing, whoring, drug addicted criminals come and live in our country. Hell's Angels wins.   Naturally the Hell’s Angels will keep expanding.
Canada the Coward forsakes NATO.  Coward Canada runs. When I travelled Europe Canada’s name and honour and respect was ‘won’ by the Canadian Armed Forces. Canadians were admired because they helped Europeans defeat Hitler. The idea that Canada is admired for leftist ideology. Canada is admired for it's success. It was admired in Europe for fighting Hitler. It won't be admired for cowardice.
A very large proportion, some say most of the refugee/migrants are young men, fit soldier aged men.  What if we take all the ‘young men’  and  simply offer to accept train, equip and lead them back to fight ISIS.
Syria, backed by Russia isn’t going to give up.
If Californians ran to Canada to escape the Hell's Angels we'd support them by training, equipping and even leading them on a counter assault.  We'd help take back California from the Hell's Angels.
That's what Britain did.  Armed and equipped the Free French and coordinated the Free Poles and Free Dutch and lead the retaking of Europe. If you've watched American TV you'll be as confused about WWII as Canadians are today confused about ISIS.
That’s what we did with the Belgiums and French after the NAZI’s invaded their country.   ISIS is the new NAZI religious dictatorship.
The absurdity of Justin Trudeau’s solution, running and hiding under the bed, is classic Chamberlain, pro Hitler logic.  Instead we accept that the Hell’s Angels doesn’t have a right to California.  We Churchill the situation.  Follow the winners.   We train, equip and lead those refugees who want their homes back and they take middle eastern land back from ISIS.
Justin Trudeau is Chamberlain.
ISIS has threatened Canada  and Justin runs home.  The Hells Angels wins.  ISIS wins. California goes to the Hells Angels.  The Middle East goest to ISIS.  Paris this week. Ottawa next week.
It took Germany a few years to win Europe.  Time moves faster now.  The French learned their lesson when they ran away.  Now they stand and fight.  E
Justin Trudeau nees to stand up.  Right now he and Canada are seen as cowards by their NATO allies.  Take this opportunity. Kill two birds with one stone. Accept Refugge warriors and build a Free Syrian Army whose first objective will be to take back the land taken by ISIS. Refugees can return home.  Syria is divided.  The civil war is postponed.
Our military bases are for military training.  They shouldn’t be turned into homeless shelters.  Help the refugees get their land back the same way Churchill helped De Galle.  Build a Refugee Army to return and take back what ISIS has claimed.  That way Canada chooses when Canadians die rather than letting ISIS pick us off one by one, the terrorist way.

Limit Setting/Holding Love

One of the greatest books of Pediatric Psychiatry was Omnipotent Child by Thomas P. Millar, a West Vancouver Psychiatrist.  When I saw families years ago I used to recommend parents read this classic in combination with an equally great book by Alice Miller, called Drama of the Gifted Child,
Dr. Millar clearly demonstrated in his vast experience that many children were 'neglected' by parents who failed to limit set.  By contrast Psychoanalyst Alice Miller with her intense experience saw that abused children were often a product of being misunderstood 'gifted' children.  As a consequence of reading both books one could better navigate the fine line between smothering, mothering, and othering.
Children overly parented and protected were infantilized whereas children without parenting felt alien.  The happy medium was what each of these great authors sought to help parents and therapists find.
I loved learning as a psychiatrist that if I didn't set 'limits' and allowed a child to 'rage' out of control then I was giving the child the frightening experience of his being indeed the parent or the adult.  This was the essence of the book, Lord of the Flies.  If there is no 'limit' to a child's rage then indeed we are likely to cry "the horror, the horror' like Kurtz because at the most 'primitive' emotions are rawest and most open to dangerous expression.
There is merit in discipline.  Societies have developmental stages like individuals.  Maslow developped a hierarchy of needs showing the need for safety to precede self actualization.  Erik Erickson showed with his 8 fold developmental stages the importance of 'trust' before love.
A child especially an adolescent needs to feel safe in this world. If the child is indeed in control then as Dr. Millar explains so adeptly they develop 'omnipotence' which comes with 'fear' because if there is no one to stop my homicidal or suicidal rage then I'm alone.  Alice Miller points out that the gifted child seeks expression but nonetheless parents and society must 'limit' this expression for the betterment of the child and the family and society.
Even now there is ISIS refusing to accept international law, denying the role of the courts, setting up their own Lord of the Flies, primitive childish society with all the inherrent violence, chopping off of heads and caricatures of real states.  All around them the parent states of this cult and gang are together with military force limitting their expression.  This limit setting is little different from the limit setting that a parent does when a child wishes to bash another child's head with a rock.
So we all want to 'love' the child. Grandparents love that they can 'spoil' the child knowing that the parents will be left with the obligation of discipline.  Single parents often resolve their tyrant power position by leaving the 'discipline' to the state which involves 'child protection' and police and jails.  Historically the mother at home provided the child 'unconditional love' because the father who was the interface with the outside world provided 'conditional love'. In the great 50's classic of this , mother would tell her children 'wait till your father gets home'. If mother and father couldn't "control' a child's behaviour then the community in the form of child protection services, youth court and jails and police did, just as the militaries of the world are now addressing ISIS reign of terror.
I really would love to be in a world where England's Chamberlain was right and Hitler could be 'reasoned' with.  I grew up singing with the Beatles "all we need is love".  I am to this day working on forgiving the violence my school inflicted on children as a norm, the canings and strapping I received.  Of course, if I'd been a tad smarter I'd not of got caught and a tad brighter I'd not have lipped off at a teacher or two.
The fact is, the world's not perfect.  I think if the ISIS members had been better loved and children and had more breast feeding and less aggressive potty training they might 'do unto others as they would have done unto themselves' but I'm older. I've worked with thousands of people in a variety of centers and just find some are slow learners when it comes to limit setting.
One of my patients was a child who was an arsonist.  Despite the communities best efforts to protect themselves they simply could not get the parents 'to control' their 5 year old child so the town simply out of self preservation rejected the family after they had caused millions of dollars of damage.  The parents saw themselves and 'loving' yet the child was to all intents 'neglected' and only with massive arson projects could they get the attention they missed.
In the best of all possible worlds there would be no 'limit setting'. There would be no need for 'police' and 'social workers' and 'military' and 'judges'.  This would be called 'heaven' or 'paradise' but it's not reality.
The fact is, limit setting is a holding form of love.  My parents set rules for me to learn in the home so that I would be prepared for the rules that I would encounter in school and society. Now I've lived in different countries and travelled extensively and am thankful that I was taught so lovingly that there were rules and consequences.
Watching a birds nest recently in a presentation of time lapse photograph with the camera mounted nearby I noted that most of the chicks with little encouragement left the nest but one really didn't do that well.  The parents were by all accounts 'abusive' and 'bullying' but nonetheless the chick was literally 'kicked' out of the nest.  Begrudgingly it flew and appeared happy like the first chick which had appeared to want to fly from the very start.
Some of this is development.  Some of it's resources.  Obviously Adolf Hitler might have needed a few decades of all the mothers in the world teaching him potty training so that he wouldn't be damaged. The fact is he got the best perhaps his mother and his society could offer at the time.  ISIS leaders obviously needed more time on the breast but didn't get it.  Maybe each of them with a few decades in prison and full time with Dalai Lama and Bishop Tutu might lose their passion for chopping off others heads coupled with their adolescent sadistic selfie addiction.  The issue is then 'resource management'.  How much is everyone willing to pay and this question of 'economics' is really tied to the idea of what the 'military budget' should be.  Are the threats external or internal. Should there be more education internally on police or education and health care?
Obviously I believe in limit setting and holding love.  I believe there's a need for balance.  I like moderation. However, I think often I'm surrounded by really stupid people who believe 'all we need is love' and somehow think that the undisciplined masses produce free love and goodness rather than chaos and hysteria.  Am I the only one who saw how the hippy communes collectively collapsed.  I don't think we're going to be a better place when everyone smokes marijuana and we can all hang out at the beach.  I for one am thankful for parents and police and teachers and doctors  and the military and the politicians and accountants. I'm aware that I appreciate 'limits' and stop doing things because I don't want negative consequences. I don't think this is odd. I think it's human.  If I started chopping off my neighbours heads (and some of them really aren't using them) I understand that the community would 'limit' me just like they would a child who took a knife to the playground and began slashing the other children.
I know it's politically correct to sound like an idiot but I even believe the politically correct in a community don't deserve to have their heads removed from their bodies.  Community is about making the most for the most in a  utilitarian sense and involves 'exclusivity' and 'inclusivity'.  If I don't 'limit set' my dog, ie stop him humping your little girl, there's a good chance that a higher power will stop my dog's behaviour.
Because I love my dog, I set limits to his behaviour and clean up his shit. Ideally in time I'll get him to work his paws around those little green baggies so he can pick up his own shit. But I accept for now I'm probably going to have to be the one to do the scooping.  I suspect there's more likelihood my dog will learn how to clean up his own shit than ISIS and the likes will. I still have hope.

Morgentaler Ode

I heard of your death and was thankful it was over.
The pagans thought they could achieve immortality
By the sacrifice and slaughter of the young.
But like the pagan kings, you did not kill your own I learned!
Your children are living.
A rich life as you did,
Filled with fame and fortune and arrogance.
There is so much profit in killing.

I am always suspicious of doctors who do not take their own medicine.
You are not a physician.
Any more than those men who also played with scalpals
In the prison where they scarred your heart.
Such similar circumstance as  Victor Frankl  but such different outcome.
One man  freed in a search for meaning
While another  forever imprisoned in meaninglessness
Doomed to inflict the horror of his past
Again and again on the present.

If you had killed your own
I would not have found such fault ,
But your mother and your wife did not take the advice
You brought from Auschwitz to Canadian women.
You taught that the only hope is the killing of another
For survival of the fittest.
(Such a Hitlerian idea to infect a Christian Canadian nation with?)

Canadian women were stronger and tougher
More loving and kind
Before you came.
They raised their sons and daughters
To fight the impossible war, to beat the unbeatable  Nazi
And  to save the Jews from the abortion chambers of Auschwitz.
Canadians, especially the French,  loved babies before you came.

Though Canadians had fought for your life
You could not find it in you to fight for the lives of Canadians
To take the really hard and high road,
To offer women the choice
The real choice;
The economics and solace
Of hope and joy.
Could you not argue with Hitler ?
And fight for a better alternative than expedience and  extermination?

Whatever it was that kept you alive,
That spark of life that Victor Frankl spoke so clearly about,
Could you not share that with your patients and their families
As you did with your wife, for everyone has doubts.

A real physician gives hope and find the means
To end the suffering without sacrificing the Jews and Poles
And homosexuals and pregnant unwed women,
And unborn children in death camps.

What of your  oath , 'to do no harm' ?
You denied the very life of a child
And deprived a generation of the laughter
And tears of little ones
Who Canadians had always before celebrated and protected.
Instead of bringing gratitude to this land
You brought the venom instilled in you
By the pagan drug addicted fascist Hitler.
And for that we can all be sorry.

Your Freudian  "identification with the aggressor"
Is a subject that survivors will expound on for decades
As Canadians rebuild the Temple you tried to destroy.

How much harder it is  to join the real fight,
Like the  poet Leonard Cohen, who sings
"First we take Manhatten, then we take Berlin!"
Like those who gave a lost despairing people  Israel
Forcing governments and adults
To find a means to save the baby state and protect  lives of the unborn

Instead, Canadians  need to buy children overseas.
Because you ,Mortgentaller, never learned respect
For home grown Canadians,
Instead outsourcing birth and babies
As an auxiliary service to your abortion factories.

Instead of releasing a mother and child
From the terror of the term " unwanted child"
You rejected love and  Jesus
Picking up that first stone, pelting the woman
And bashing in the head of the unborn
Squeezing brains with forceps, snipping baby spinal cords
And flushing Canadian wombs like a toilet.

Instead of being a physician who identifies
Correctly that the poverty, the rape, or the shame
Or whatever else is the 'disease' you 'blamed the victim',
And used advertising words like Goebbels
To conceal the truth of your murderous insanity.

Life and children are never the disease.
Children and Jews are never to be exterminated
With dehumanizing words and abortion chambers.

Physicians save mother and child.
No obstetrician worth his salt would declare abortion victory.
We are not fascists in this country, Canada.
We worship life and love.  L'chaim!

Now women are denied children or child care
And mothers go unrewarded
And families are destroyed,
And Canadians buy children overseas.
This is your legacy.
This is the cold hearted consequence of Auschwitz.

Now fascists and communists
Turn their thanatos agenda to adults.
A future Canadian will be given the Order of Canada
For his euthanasia gas chamber
Just as you were given an Order of Canada
For your abortion scalpel.
No wonder true Canadians returned their Orders of Canada.

Having  killed Canadians babies en mass
Fascists can get on now with the 'final solution'.
Like you the medicine they will prescribe to others
They will not take themselves.

In Canada you died at 90
Saved by Canadians from an early death in your 20's
But you went on to emulate not Canadians who freed you
But the Nazi murderers who imprisoned you to die so very young.
Now dead at 90 you join all those children whose lives
You reduced to weeks and months.
While Canadians gave you 70 more years
And did not kill you in their prison
But freed you once again.
But still you could not learn the Canadian way,
So warped were you by Hitler.

Forgive me but I am a physician.
I took an oath to do no harm
And as a scientist  I know  as you knew that a fetus is a baby.
Even Goebels couldn't convince my family
That Jews were not human and needed extermination.
My father, a Canadian veteran,
Went to war to save the world from the Fascists and Communists,
And the Jews from the Holocaust.

Leonard Cohen wrote
"First we take Manhatten, then we take Berlin'
He is a Canadian who will stand before the Lord
If only with a broken hallelujah.

You with your bloody Mengele scalpal
Will be speechless finally,
Having silenced so many Canadians.
What a sick and sad tragedy Hitler left us.
I will pray for your soul,
For as Jesus said,
"You did not know what you were doing."

Hallelujah. Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Attack on Leningrad - Movie

In spite of myself I watched a disturbing human drama of historical significance. I picked up the DVD kind of thinking I'd enjoy watching some fast action plane fights done up Russian style. Instead I weeped at the terribly touching story of two women, others, and the children.  There were planes and tanks and bodies lying dead to be eatten in the seige of Leningrad.  But there was also this moving moment when a father tells his departing daughter, "Don't give up."  Action packed, for sure. but spilling over with humanity as well.  Not at all comic book or cut out people. Acting so real by Mira Sorvino, Garbiel Byrne and Armin Mueller--Stahl and Olga Sutlova.  In the Nazi seige a British Journalist Kate Davis is presumed dead only to be rescued by Nina a member of the Soviet militia.  With papers lost and declared dead Kate stays starving and surviving with Nina's family.  Alexander Buravsky is the director.  The movie was so much more than I imagined.
In the end I felt like I'd just watched Dr. Zhivago expecting an episode of House MD.
