We are not alone ever

“I am in the middle of a pandemic.  A chimera virus, lab made in Wuhan, has escaped and the world is no longer safe,’  she spurted out her fear. There was a sense of softness and vulnerability about her. She wore an animal skin blouse with black pencil skirt.  She kidded herself being dressed like a big cat. She was mostly still a kitten. She walked strong, tough, really, mostly, but sometimes was afraid.
‘You weren’t safe yesterday,” he said, ‘You are not safe today. Security is always relative.” He was her friend. Strong, blond, handsome. Rugged in a way, like a man who hasn’t been to a gym but has been to the north.
“I felt safer yesterday,” she continued.”Today I feel like I’m under attack. I feel that Xi Linping has attacked me personally, my peace, my way of life.  I worried about the world ending with that shrill child screaming every time I turned on the news. But the world’s been ending as long as I can remember.  Acid rain, ozone layer, computer viruses, every promise of doom and constant demands for more and more money.  Meanwhile there was always disease but not this. Not his man made menace.” She sipped her coffee latte, her lips red with lipstick that matched her long nails.  She had said she’d found some waterproof red that didn’t smear when she drank coffee out.
He laughed. “You didn’t mind being melted by chemical rain, or boiled by the planets loss of defences or betrayed by robot millennial computer, but admit it you’ve always been a bit of a germophobe. All that cleanliness, the cleanses, the alternative health stores, the regular check ups.  This particular threat of death has got to you.” He’d spoke between bites of his benny cut with the razored wood handled blade and lifted carefully to his mouth on the hefty silver fork.  She smiled looking at him.
“Don’t try to mock me.  You’re not attending any of your meetings and conferences like you used to.”  She crossed her long legs and thought how she missed cigarettes after a meal though it had been at least a decade since she’d last had a smoke.
“I’m cautious. I’m a survivalist. I’m taking my zinc and vitamin D.  I’ve hydroxychloroquine and Zithromax in case I get a cold. I’ve worn a mask in doors.  I’m washing my hands and keeping social distance. I rather like the social distancing and I do like working more from home.  All that herding and group gathering hasn’t been that necessary for years since the technology made cities obsolete.  Cities are the real pollution. That’s the real evidence of fear. People unable to be alone.” There was traffic in the street.  People back to going to work. Cars. Trucks. Cyclists. Motorcyclists. They’d parked around the corner from their favourite morning cafe.  Yolks. He paid the bill despite her protest.
“Why aren’t you afraid then?’ She asked as they climbed down into his British racing green  mini Cooper. “I suppose you’re going to say, because you have Jesus.” She smiled as she said that. There was no rancour in her voice.  She was baiting him a bit.  She believed differently from him but they were both washed as the devout would say.
“That’s for sure.  I trust in God. Jesus is my friend. My God is transcendent and personal .  That latter counts. I don’t feel unsafe. Somehow there’s meaning to life even if it’s arbitrary for comfort.  I don’t feel alone.  At times I feel even more aware, almost enlightened and I remember that in times of despair.  Yes. There is Jesus. But mostly I’m just one person and I take care of my side of the street. ” He shifted gears as they pulled out of  the space into the light  traffic.
“My greatest comfort,’ she said, ‘is not listening to the fear mongering.  The news is like a cacophony of hyenas baying at the moon as if their constant talking will keep it from falling.  I’m also working very hard at not thinking of the future or the past.  I listened to Father Lynn and really believe it helps to live in the day.”
“Carpe diem’ he said, glancing at her beautiful face as he shifted lanes coming off the ramp onto the highway.
“I admit I don’t trust the government.  I don’t trust individual politicians.” He continued , “ I know they have made all manner of mistakes crucifying and genociding. Governments are not to be trusted. If the Communist Chinese government had been caring for anyone but themselves they wouldn’t have bribed the WHO to lie. They would have stopped the virus in Wuhan.  But governments never think they’re wrong.  They’ve caused the holocaust and the Armenian genocide. They’ve caused wars and starvation.  Men and women in groups maximize their positive’s or their negatives yet they always blame individuals.  Right now they’re trying to blame Trump but before that they blamed Obama.  Frazer’s  Golden Bough said it all.  We have our sacrificial kings who we ultimately blame if things go wrong while we enjoy the benefits when things go right.  The people always deserve the leaders they get.’
Just then, they were pulling into the dog groomers.  The bundle of fur was waiting.  His whole body wagging to see the two of them.  When he put the little guy in the back seat, he licked her neck and quickly climbed into the front to sit on her lap. He loved his mommy.  ‘My fur baby’ she called him.  She had adult children and grand children but this was the love of her life today. It was easy to see how she loved to spoil the little ones but limit setting was a whole other matter. The little guy, despite having the whole back seat, had wiggled his way into the front on her lap.
They next drove to the park, where the river ran into the lake. He’d brought his camera, the new Nikon P1000, he’d bought for birds.  She’d remembered to wear sandals as he’d said they would be walking.  Once he’d parked he came around to her side to help her out by taking the leash and letting the dog out first.  The blind dog was so excited, knowing by the smells, just where they were. Definitely a happy place of his.
Walking in the woods, she asked,”Do you really think there is a Satan?”
He was picking up dog poo when she surprised him with that. “Not in an anthropomorphic sense.” He said.   “I believe God is all but that humans have the capacity for free will and can choose to believe or not to believe .  Satan is the experience of the absence of God.  It’s a terrifying place to be with just one self alone.  Communism is the religion of aetheism. They believe in the State. Ironically democracy believes in the will of the people allowing God to act through the collective.  The difference is subtle.  The State is man made. Democracy is more natural than dictatorship.  I just prefer Pascal’s wager and his thinking, as a French mathetician about life and God and death. Ernest Becker was right about the Denial of Death. That’s what this virus is upsetting.  That whole climate change catastrophising about the arctic disappearing and endangered species and give me more and more money. It was a real issue of which industry was taking care of especially with Moore’s law. But this bug is a different thing. It’s not going to kill us tomorrow or tomorrow’s tomorrow hundreds or thousands of years from now depending on which doomsayer makes the prediction.  This bug is here today and killing people even as we speak. Not many, mind you, but enough.   Of course the Climate Change Billionaires all lied over and over again, the Arctic is still there despite their false predictions. This bug like migration, corruption, regional war and the destruction of the middle class is happening now.  The Climate Change Crisis never was a crisis. The language is the thing. These people don’t believe in truth and words are what ever they make them. They’re all marketing students.  They sensationalize and frankly lie.  Goebbels was their prophet certainly not Marshal McLuhan.  Their ignorance and arrogance are almost palpable.  That’s what hubris was all about.  They make themselves God while denying God. They worship their ideas.  They say they love freedom of speech but only when it agrees with them.”
He stopped.  She stopped. The dog stopped. His camera came up.  A Swanson’s thrush had chosen just that moment to make herself visible on the limb of a spruce tree.  He took her picture. She saw him smile. The bird had the sweetest song.  “They’re rare to see, you know’, he said.  It had flitted away as quickly as it came.
She was holding the leash as again the dog walked ahead of them sniffing the trail and marking his scent.
“I love their song,” she said. “I always love Christian environmental stewardship when it was life enriching not the doomsaying death cry of today’s environmentalism.  Christian environmental stewardship was good behaviour.  I always thought of it as good maintenance.  We learned as children to clean up our rooms and maintain the house and yards.  Hiking we didn’t leave our waste behind.  My father and mother didn’t pollute like they claimed .  People in the city did. But brought up on he farm we learned respect.”
“We did too. ‘ he added with passion.”We were in nature. This high rise city life is parking lots and raves. They rape the land, steal from the rural people and make a continual mess of consumerism and entertainment.  Then they point fingers. The governments still pouring the cities raw pollution into the waterways and we’re supposed to trust them to save the planet. It’s always like adolescents to know how to solve the world’s problems but refuse to clean up their room.”
They’d arrived at the lake. The ducks and geese were out in the open water. Near the shore was the marsh and pussy willows.  She was thankful for the little wooden viewing deck. Otherwise her sandals wouldn’t be enough. The dog would have loved to have rolled in the muck as well and that would have made the drive home in the little car a mess.
He took pictures. The telephoto let him shoot the wood ducks close up. The Canada geese were big in the view finder. There were mallards and canvasbacks. He liked the wood duck plummage most.  Such wonderful colour.
“I believe it could be random,” she said her hands on the wood railing, leaning forward, her long blond hair catching the light.  He loved looking at her.  She smiled.  “I just prefer to believe in God,  a great artist and there’s a great team upon team of creators and movie producers and set designers.  We’re the actors at just one level in one dimension. I think the atheists reduce things too much.  They minimize creation and their idea of the God is way to smalll. “
“They do love their straw dog arguments. Even Hutchens’.  It wasn’t always that way.  I loved reading the letters that C.S.Lewis in response to what were called the ‘new aetheists’ of his day. His Screwtape Letters were a masterpiece of irony with anthropomorphism of satanic intellectualism.’
“Would he be afraid of the Virus? Do you think?”  She asked,
“I’d think he’d be more afraid of the communists.  People in his days’ didn’t fear reality. American’s had William James and pragmatism.  Like most of the scientists today the learned have been mostly godly men.  They cared for the  world as much but they worried about their neighbour. The Nazis, the National Socialists, and the Communists, the international socialists, were always at war. As a Christian he didn’t fear the world as much as people who wanted to rule and persecute others.  Islam is called the religion of peace but it’s only that when everyone else is overpowered and Sharia law rules. Lewis lived through the great wars.  Biological weapons came in the form of gas and later atomic bombs and radiation.  Today it’s just viruses and fentanyl and economic collapse.  Jesus said, “do not be afraid’ . Lewis was the bravest man until he lost his wife.  Engles and Marx knew that. They set out to destroy families for their perfect state because people would rather protect the personal than the ideological. Marx and Engles were cold fish who lusted after women more than loving them like Lewis and Tolkien and that Inklings Group.”
“Do you love me,’ she asked.
“Yes,” he said.
“Thank you,” she said then followed on ahead pulled on by the dog while he stood watching her body move with the sensuous grace he’d come to know so well.

Autumn Cold, Canada

I woke up cold.  The last Facebook page I saw showed foot high snow in Lethbridge.  I definitely was triggered.  Remembering all the cold times of Canadian childhood .  Parents bundling us in parkas and long johns and wool mittens and togue just to get to the car. There were no in car heaters early days.  Just shivering in the back seat with my brother watching our breath form clouds. Dad would start the car and then he’d get out the window scraper. We’d never warm up on short trips. On long trips we’d overheat.

Today my water heater is on the fritz. I’m waiting for Eric.  Years on my boat I’d fix my own heaters and replace solenoids. I’ve lived with propane, solar panels, wind generators and Diesel engines for decades.  First the sailboat then the fifth wheel. I’ve done it in Canada.  All the time with three jobs. The harsh winds from the north are not to be sneezed at. Yet every year I have caught the flu, either the fall one or the spring one or both.  Right now I’m feeling the draft.. I ran out of propane. I like warm.  The colours of autumn still are beautiful, out of the wind.

I checked the stove and had fire so figured the problem was the thermostat. It was wonky last year. I found my electric blanket.  I lost electricity last year and used the back up generator a couple of times. There was the power outage and I was thankful that the gas that was sitting in the generator still took spark.  Gilbert, the cockapoo joined me when the electric blanket got warm.  I couldn’t get back to sleep.

My mind was fluctuating between I wonder why the heater isn’t working. It’s not connected to the water heater not working. What could it be. And a gratitude list. How have I attracted this discomfort?

Thank you God for the nanoseconds we take for granted. Thank you for the molecules and atoms, the electrons, protons and neutrons and the space between. Thank you for the deep depth of blue on a starry night. Thank you for hairy men and smooth women. Thank you for opposites and contrasts, the colours and the shapes. Thank you for beauty in all it’s forms. Thank you for human endeavour. Thank you for saints of all religions. Thank you for science and rocket ships.

Please get the heating glyches worked out before I move to the moon.  I’m triggered by cold and need a safe place. The southerners all are entitled ungrateful equatorial folk who won’t go north or south out of their soft safe zone but daily they complain about climate change. Our ancestors suffered the ice age. We didn’t end up at the outer fringes of the comfort zone in years past because we wanted the cold.  We Celts were displaced and couldn’t get warm climate land from the brown and black squatters who monopolized the good times for tens of thousands of years and now complain day in and day out because their air conditioning bill is up a few cents.

We’re still out here on the fringes of civilization in Canada battling the coming cold, thinking of our brethren in Argentina and Peru and those of our kind, cold dwellers, living in mountain spaces like Tibet. All of us afraid of the bullies, haters and takers who live in warm temperate regions where they can put all their energy into diabolical schemes about making us pay for their soft entitled lives.

I tried the stove again. No flame. The propane’s out.  I didn’t get the notice in last week to include me in the propane run. I had the bottles out but I forgot to get on the list. I’ve got to add that to the To Do. Get the order in early.  Now fortunately I have the barbecue propane tank.  That’s the last back up. I go through two of the big propane tanks a week.  I can close the back door to the garage this year since the poor cat is gone.  The cat door saved heat.  I may get a more robust electric heater. I don’t think this one does more than a 100 cu feet. There’s one that does 500 cubic feet. I wonder if my electrical system will handle the extra draw.

I’ve been managing limited electricity, 15 am, 30 amp and 50 amp inputs for decades.  If I’m not, I’m on my generator. I’ve got shore power or land hook up which connects to the city grids.  There’s limits though. The refridgerator draws. The electric heater draws. The electric blanket is a god send with little electric demand.  I’m managing these things, juggling draw, batteries storing electricity and I’ve even got the back up generator and a reserve tank. The solar panels keep the battery charged. I don’t have a wind generator or water generator on the fifth wheel. I get by. I don’t need an entitled angry rich teen ager to tell me about climate change. I don’t need fat cat UN dictators and elite soft boys and their elegant women to tell me about weather and managing.  I doubt any of them have ever lived off the grid. Maybe for a weekend camping trip with guides and body guards. But not day in and day out. I know a whole lot of survivalists who get by. There was a time I hand cranked electricity.  Now the silly people in the south, those wasteful folk, pretend to speak with authority and tell us about energy. Really?

I enjoyed my stove that burning wood created enough energy to charge my iPhone.  It was like so many of these ‘cute’ things fine if I had all the time to manage the fire.  Not efficient. I like my gas generator.  The place has warmed up with the propane. I’ve got to deal with the drafts. Maybe I need weather stripping. I’m such a suck for warm.

I’ve never been keen on being nude except in water. I love the backwoods nude hotsprings and being nude with lovers especially in the woods.  Mosquitos are never featured in Hollywood.  Bugs and snakes make tents much more desirable. Inside I’m not into nude. I think balls limit the enjoyment of walking about without pants of some kind.  I sometimes envy women the inner plumbing. Nothing like a zipper malfunction to make one appreciate the limits to external works.

In my life time I’ve concluded the best clothing options are sailing shorts, khaki short shorts with rips and paint stains. No need for underwear. Just wash the shorts in salt or fresh water.  I went naked while they dried in the tropic trade winds. That was heavenly.  Life on the lamb.  When I was young I lived with one pair of jeans, no underwear camping and white water canoeing. I just washed the jeans and hung them on a tree.  Older I’ve come to like underwear.  It sneaks up on you.

The other best clothing option was the sarong. It tended to slip off so required adjusting but was socially acceptable.  I suspect I’d have liked the short Roman skirt.  The kilt is fine too.  Minimalism. In Canada I favour light underwear and a t shirt. No big bulky Stanfields. The best are the Calvin Klein briefs.  Harley Davidson T-shirts’ are my favourite. I’ve got some of those shorts that have built in underwear and pass for bathing suits but they’re not the same. Plain shorts and t shirts are the best. I like bare legs all year round. I go with sandals as long as I can then move to clogs. I don’t like socks except in hiking boots. I will use sweats but I’d rather be on the couch with shorts and a blanket rather than have sweats.  Aging is all about finding one own’s sweet spot. There’s a security and comfort in my corner of the couch built up with pillows.  Today I’m going to have to go to work without a shower because the hot water isn’t working.  I was in the hot tub last night and even swam laps. I showered then.  I don’t like changes in the rituals.

In the prairies I had weather stripping on windows and doors to decrease draft but still wore leather slippers because in the winter the floor would be cold. It was cold in Winnipeg. 40 below was normal. This fifth wheel is winterized but wouldn’t survive that. Mobile homes with skirts were crafty and cold. I lived and worked in them for years in the north.  At home in Winnipeg,  I had the furnace but we kept it low and wore clothing, flannels and house coats.  I had electric space heaters. I’d turn the furnace down at night and we’d sleep in the cool, healthy sleeping, then the heater on a timer would come on in the morning and I’d awake in relative warmth.  The electric heater warmed the bedroom and I’d turn up the heater so that by the time I was having breakfast there was warmth in the house. Leaving I’d turn the furnace down low. I still do that here.  Saving precious money heating.

In England I had a radiator I paid with a meter and because we were poor we saved our shillings and wore layers of clothing.  In the prairies I had a block heater for the car to keep it from freezing over night but eventually got an actual heater that I could start from a remote I kept in the kitchen. Such luxuries.

I loved living in Saipan. The warm tropical night with the breeze from the sea. Inside without air conditioning could be stifling but patio living was heavenly.  Bikinis improve any view too.  Beautiful women, friendly men.  Mostly I miss the sailing.  In Mexico at anchor it could get hot then our air condition was the sails. We’d raise them and put on the autopilot wandering up the coast in the sea of Mexico watching manta rays jumping.  I like the warm.

Now I’ve heat here. The thermostat had read 56 when I got up but now it’s up to 70.

Telling a Canadian in winter, they’ll going to burn in hell, isn’t that much of a deterrent.

Autumn still is beautiful.  The colour of the changing leaves is spectacular.  The trees are drawing inward.   The chill is here.  The snows are just around the corner.  I may have to put some pants on.

Political Internet Addiction, Hockey Values, Social Contract

I must first acknowledge that politics is above my pay grade. I am a peasant.  As a middle class , even upper middle class, Canadian I really have very little influence on Canadian politics.  Around the world politics is a game played by a very very few.  I think the ‘club’ membership of those who actually are the real ‘players’ in the game is something like a billion. I used to think millionaires were allowed in the room to watch and maybe cheer and boo but I’m pretty jaded.  It might even be that you need 10 billion dollars to sit at the game tables or a hundred billion dollars.
When I have gone to a casino I’ve suffered losing $20 dollars so politics by contrast is really high stakes poker. It’s a war game between this one multi billionaire team and another multi billionaire team.
So why am I hooked on the internet media politics game show.  It’s pretty much the same for me as hockey.  I don’t play hockey today but I did as a kid.  I actually last played hockey on an “old timers league”.  But that was decades ago.
Politically, as a kid I was on my high school student council executive and president of a city religious youth organization. I was even a city representative to the youth parliament in the capital. At university I participated. I was editor of a unversity newspaper and wrote political articles. I’ve read countless books on politics, all the classics, and studied history extensively, at the post graduate level, and routinely discuss politics with professors in political science, economics, game theory, war college, social science, ecology,  or any of the areas politics might be relevant.
At the professional level I was on the executive of the specialists association and served on hospital committees and other work related committees. I’ve been on executives and even  board members of socially relevant organizations.  I’ve been a debater and public speaker and appeared on television and radio.   I’ve been to the business meetings and participated in the organizational meetings of the social and spiritual clubs I’ve belonged too. Most people would call me that often maligned word , “joiner”, when really I’m a hermit.  I’ve managed some form of business profitably for nearly half a century and employed dozens of people throughout that time. I’ve even managed major projects with an amazing number of moving parts and expertise and people involved to achieve world class results.
I’ve met and shook the hands of 4 prime ministers, spent a day with one, had dinner with another, met a much larger number of federal and provincial ministers, have had friends who are members of cabinet, congressmen and senators. I’ve been that close to the action.  I’ve actually voted in countless elections and participated in political parties most of my adult life, even to the point of giving thousands of dollars to the political parties, much like I’ve supported my church.  I often wonder what these ‘charitable contributions’ say about my sanity, or faith, since often I feel I’m supporting both sides of the equation. Politics seems to be paving the way to hell whereas Religion often points the way to heaven.  Not only that, they’re  often in bed with each other making it highly hypocritical when either talks about sex.
Still I’m at very most a bit player.  Canadians are little more than Jamaicans on the international scene. It’s not like we’re China, or Russia, or America or Britain or Saudi Arabia.  I’m in Vancouver and it’s not New York, Beijing, Moscow or Mexico City.  Our Capital City Ottawa barely recognizes Vancouver’s existence. And Victoria the capital city of our province often doesn’t acknowledge the existence of Vancouver.  I have long ago accepted my irrelevance to most everyone else but myself and my dog.
The point is though, politically,  I really do have ‘skin’ in the ‘game’.  Most people who talk or riot about politics in my opinion don’t. It’s  often very apparent to me from fatuous comments. Much like hearing a person pompously saying that the goalie wasn’t any good in last nights game because he let the football past him several times.  On the other hand curious children and those who are humble adults often have the most insightful comments such as ‘why is the woman shouting instead of using her microphone?’ Much like the child who says the goalie should have caught the puck with his glove rather trying to bat it with his stick.
At  the end of the day I’m really no more relevant to the grand political game than I am watching the Canucks win or lose in a hockey game.  I once said hello to, now memory may fail me, but I think it was Rocket Richard and I got his autograph on my hockey card. At that moment I really was important in the whole world of hockey and impressed all my little buddies no end.
I have always taught that in the grand scheme of things, I am “insignificantly significant” and “significantly insignificant’.
In politics and in hockey I am a ‘fan’.  I’m the fan base.  That’s what these ‘entertainment/marketting’ organizations want and depend upon.
Admittedly my “sports fan’ buddy puts more time and money into his ‘hobby’.  He spends literally days and weeks of hours of time watching the sports channel and has seasons tickets to sports events that cost thousands of dollars. He’s got the funny hats and funny numbered shirts and really does bore people much more than I do.
I’d argue my interest in politics is more relevant.  My participation in politics at the local level has kept the city or province or organization ticking along.  My friends wife believes that the sports associations of the world have all benefit from her husbands money supporting them more than they do her or her kids. A lot of people support casinos, liquor stores and marijuana outlet stores too so my friend has a relative superiority to those low lifes.  I personally accept that as he supports the Canucks among the many teams he follows he can’t be that ungodly.  I’m not sure his wife sees things as I do.
There are however decisions that need to be made to keep hospitals open or to fund emergency shelters and I’ve really helped in the lubrication of that process.  I’ve liked the voluntary aspect of it.
But increasingly politics as opposed to sports has been saying ‘if you don’t join me you will die’.  One of the reason’s I’ve liked hockey better than soccer is that hockey is generally more of a ‘gentleman’s sport’.  Soccer is so very low brow that they routinely have riots in the stands. Occasionally a couple of hockey players might have a go at it on the ice but it’s extremely rare for one teams fans to attack another teams fans.
The Vancouver hockey riots increased my interest in politics because nothing says more about the decline of Canadian civilization than hockey fans rioting.  I don’t think I even read an internet political post before the Vancouver Hockey Riots. Odd, looking back ,that that would be such an important night. I thought the police were great that night but had real mixed feelings about the politicians.   Canada used to be a civilized country.  Soccer fans have been rioting and killing each other forever but Canadians simply were above that sort of behaviour.  Canadians had a higher set of values. We were a cultured people. Hockey was a cultured sport.
But the worst was the realization that the Judges  and Politicians didn’t understand history, hockey, politics or Canada. The judges were the real disappointment.  Indeed if there had been riots when the judges light sentences were dispensed after they were  paid  millions for their political decision I would have been less concerned . These rioting  animals who claimed to be hockey fans got off with sentences that would only encourage future riots for any occasion. This ‘test riot’ in a major Canadian city must now be the beginning of riots and more riots.
Indeed my interest in internet politics followed the  violence among hockey fans.  It was apparent that rich and poor elements were  inciting  that violence. Low brow elements were paid for by the highest.  War was being encouraged and frankly I felt frightened after the judges decision because  I have come to realize I’m  bit old to fight. It really was decades ago that I played in the Old Timer’s Hockey League.
I also feel there is no where to escape to.   I have visitted Cappadocia where Christians hid underground and built underground churches. I have visitted Meteora where Christians built monasteries on mountain peaks.  But there seems no place for a poor Christian to hide today.  The rich are building space ships.
Meanwhile the thugs are even soiling hockey and the judges and the politicians are encouraging them.  Older, I want law and order but am left with memories of hockey rioters breaking into jewelry stores and fur stores and stealing hoards.  In one night a group of young thugs took financially what it would take me a lifetime or two to earn by working. And frankly it looked easy and tempting. It looked even more tempting when  I saw that the judges only slapped the wrists of rioters.
I watched with interest as gangs of Islamic rapist sexually assaulted gorgeous young western women in Cologne and the Politicians and Judges of the EU first denied it then gave only light sentences to the offenders. . It looked so easy.  A gang of young men could surround a beautiful vulnerable young woman and rape her without any consequences to the offenders.
There is martial law in France, not because of Muslims but because of the gangs of young Islamic men that the government has let into the country whose violence their judges at first supported until now all the citizens of France have soldiers daily on their streets.
I don’t trust this government in Canada, let alone world governments.
I’m not safe.   The Social Contract is broken in Canada.  The Social Contract I worked for and paid into all my life is no longer supported by my own government or the law courts.  I am losing faith that I will be cared for in my old age. I’m losing faith that there will be doctors or nurses or medicine for me when I’m sick and dying. I am seeing that there will be committee meetings and there will be politics and marketing and advertising people calling things what they are not.
But now that we have hockey riots and judges who support the destruction of the social contract I am more afraid.  Watching the political internet I’m like a gambling addict watching the dice roll on the casino table,  I am really hoping for snake eyes.  If the dice roll snake eyes maybe it will be safe for me to go outside. Right now as things are it’s not safe on Canadian streets.  Rioters are puffed up and swaggering, brown shirted and confident.  The young men go in groups.  I don’t know when they will snap.  They have tremendous encouragement to do so.  Just south of the border there are riots all the time now.  There it was supposedly for a police shooting or for an election. But everytime there are riots people seem to get away with stealing millions and millions of dollars worth of hard earned goods. They also destroy houses, police cars and ambulances and burn down buildings.
On the street I’ve had groups of young men who appeared stoned  shove past me. They’ve shown me some deference because I’m old but rather big.  They have literally pushed littler people and women out of their way as they swaggered down the street knowing they are safe because the judges and politicians don’t do anything against them.  Indeed I’m more afraid of judges and politicians because they only seem interested in taking money from law abiding citizens with more and more ludicous taxation and regulations while criminals are the only ones who appear to be ‘free’ in Canada, once land of the ‘free’.
One group with their pit bulls attacked me and my dog and I faced them down to protect my dog but I don’t walk on those city trails any more.   I remember mothers used to push their babies along those trails and others with little dogs walked them but now only the young men and women with pit bulls walk those trails or the adults who are bicycling or running.  It doesn’t take more than one incident to make an old person scared. We don’t feel we have second chances.
I actually still feel I’d capably kill a young bully but I don’t think I’d survive the trial process which might well find me guilty despite even witnesses saying I acted in self defence.  There is so much hatred for the old in Canada.  One man in his 90’s who killed a drug crazed home invader spent the next six months of his life facing a murder charge despite all the evidence eventually proving him guilt free.  He was punished as an old man first by the homicial drug crazed maniac home invader interested in stealing his television and then by the legal system playing its game of timeless resources and endless money while he waited to learn whether he would die in jail or not.
Indeed if I reported the incident of the young man whose dog almost killed my dog or I  hurt more than the  young man’s pride by picking up his pit bull and throwing it in his face I’d be considered the ‘bad’ man.   Thugs go in groups.  They have witnesses to lie for them  In Canadians courts today perjury has no consequence. We see it routinely in such important national trials such as the Gian Gomeshi case. Perjury was blatant to all and even the judge but there was no consequence as those who lie are not jailed or made to pay for the injury of ‘false testimony’.
When I was growing up in Canada, the Canadian Christian value of
"Thou shalt not bear false witness” prevailed in the courts. Bearing of false witness was akin to murder and once a person lied in their testimony, all else that followed was considered false because their character was now defined by their lying  I have spent a life time of truth telling and believed that in court I was required to ’tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth’ . However when they took the Bible out of the courts it appears the judges began to celebrate the liars more.
I no longer feel safe in the city.  For months a man who threatened to kill me and my dog continues to email me threats despite my contacting the police and the attorney general and blocking him.  Every few weeks I am faced with a  new threat  email . When I talk to others, now hundreds, they tell me, mostly women but also  men that they’ve threatened too and that there was little consequence to those who uttered threats and terrorized them sometimes for years. At most the police have given ‘restraining orders’ which are routinely broken with little consequence.
It’s like the whole issue of gun laws. Law abiding citizens with guns have a 99.9% safety record yet the government keeps restricting and fining this group while all the guns used in crimes appear to be by criminals with illegal weapons. Further repeat offenders increasingly are out of the street despite their recidivism.  Law abiding citizens are punished while criminals are not.
A day doesn’t go by that someone doesn’t tell me another story of the breakdown of the social contract. Old men and women are homeless. Old men and women are kicked out of hospitals with no where to go. Old men and women have had their savings stolen. Old men and women are being taxed into poverty. A couple of friends who worked hard all their lives are now going to food banks to survive.
More and more my old people are as likely to die on waitlists as they are to get the care they were promised when they were young and worked for Canada believing the Social Contract would be in tact.
I am simply afraid.  I know if I an upper middle class Canadian  afraid then really most Canadians must be terrified when they watch their government and see the decisions of judges and watch the scourge of drug addiction in the city and see that millions are unemployed and that no more money is going to health care orto  the old people but rather it is being spent on palaces and foreign country silliness.
I really don’t think the church has anything much to offer me either. Marx said ‘religion is the opiate of the masses’ and my church has been as lamed brained about distant ideological social constructs while ignoring the poverty among their old. Individually they help but the rhetoric from above is often as space stationed as the nonsense from the politicians.  Everyone who is wealthy and powerful like Bishops and Judges and Government Ministers, Criminals  and Billionaires think I’m silly to be afraid too.
All I have really is  prayer.   And I’m the lucky one.

Man Cold Progression

I am still alive. For this I am thankful even though my head feels on the verge of exploding like a Sigourney Weaver Belly.  Some new alien species is wanting to Zeus children out of my head.  But I ‘m cool with that.  My level of acceptance is marginally better. If I die today  it’s okay. My body will need to be cremated naturally.  We wouldn’t want whatever I have to spread.
My sinuses are definitely hooped.  No good.  Is my nose permanently inadequate as a result of my picking it.  Did my mother nocebo me a lifelong inadequate sinuses because they wanted me as a child to stop picking my nose as the dining room table.  Boogers show on the white table cloths.  You’re learning from adults you’re not supposed to flick these at your brother.  Next thing your undeveloped mind has demonized snot.  So everyone once in a while as an adult tthere’s a great revolution in the sinuses and snot escapes en mass to the outer world, like babies stripping off their clothes and running naked under garden hoses.
My cough is deeper descending. The invasion of alien microbes, the First Wave in this fight to the death between my humanoid self and these Lilliputian small man syndromed creatures.  I cough.  Laryngitis is the point of quitting. If I get laryngitis I throw in the towel and don’t go to work but wait in my bed for imminent death.  We’ve been at this rodeo before. I’ve come through these personal world war fights with sickness and disease minimized by the state and generalized as ‘common cold’.  It’s a lacklustre disease.  It’s ‘just the flu’.  It’s grossly under rated.  The Man Cold is the disease most discriminated against.
I’ve terrible gas. I fart something fierce. Bloating.  I feel on the verge of relief but on the toilet just make rude noises.
Outside the world is a reflection of my inner travail.  Snow and ice have coated the landscape, freezing and killing anything that was sentient without a warm place to hide from the incipient weather.  In the north we prepared for this.  In Winnipeg it comes and we know we’re in for the duration. In Churchill it’s expected.  It lasts for most of the year.  NASA sends their astronauts to Canada to train in our environment for life on the moon. If you can survive Winnipeg or Churchill or worse Sudbury you just might be able to live on Mars.
We live with thanksgiving for summer and what facsimiles of spring and fall we are granted. But here on the West Coast in this unaffordable city of Vancouver, where criminal money from overseas and the billions of dollars of revenue from pot grpwing have jacked up all the prices so only the rich can afford housing,  this isn’t supposed to happen.  The Homeless are shocked. They escaped Newfoundland and Ontario and even Alberta to move to the Lower Mainland of BC believing they could survive on the streets, no longer having jobs to afford heating in Eastern Canada. The government has made each Canadian choose ‘food or heat’ .  So the fat are now lying outside on the streets of Vancouver hoping they made the right choice and their fat will protect them.
My car was frozen shut yesterday. I was tugging at the doors of the Miata after finding it first with snow brushes and ice scrapers. Then it refused me entrance.  I heard my little sporscar say to me, “I’m not working today. It’s too awful.”  It was a major therapy session with  me  the ice pick and the Miata not responding to anything short of a lobotomy.
Vancouver drivers and Vancouver cars are not prepared for snow and cold. Politicians have been building bicycle lands and trying to convince everyone that cycling in freezing rain and parkas and icey streets is a favourable thing to do.  These limousine liberals haven’t ever seen a bicycle themselves and expect underpaid Canadians to drive them from one pig fest to the next.
The all weather car tires aren’t meant for cold.  They’re all weather Ohio or Southern China.  I miss studs and chains.  There are accidents along the free way. I’m driving in a 120 km zone at 10 km.  It’s miserable.  And cold.
And I’m chilled.  I feel like I might have malaria because every so often my whole body shakes and I feel on the verge of seizuring.
I stopped thinking of suicide.  It takes too much effort. I feel this Man Cold will kill me soon enough.
Women are now talking to me in that voice they use for little children. I see them showing facial features of concern.
I want the world to feel guilty for what they have done to me.  Left me alone in this body to fight off the Borg of a Man Cold. “Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated!"
I must be doing better than I think. I’m not in a fetal position. The fetal position is my fall back ploy. In a fetal position most of the vital organs are protected.  The head is out there available to be stomped but the rest of me is tucked in pretty good.
My head doesn’t seem of use to me. It aches and drips and whines.  I hate the whining. I can’t focus on anything but self pity and misery.
The water pipes are frozen in my home. I have a functional toilet at work. The blessing of running water gets me to head to work.
At work I pay attention to others suffering. It’s a useful distraction. Everyone seems to be sharing this collective meeting with Satan.  All week men have come in red nosed, coughing up green, throbbing headaches and telling me they’re dying. I’ve done the ‘this is just a virus and all you need is rest  and chicken soup tirade a few times’ but I’ve been broken by the sight of them suffering. I’ve written several prescriptions for antibiotics as they pleaded. “Dr. I’m dying. Aren’t you going to help me. I need medicine.”
I don’t have a lot of faith in medicine and a Man Cold.  I hold off on the Amoxil and zithromycis, the doxycycline and erythromycin.  The only fallback after we start on that route is the Vancomycin. And all the antibiotics make the diarrhea worse.  I ‘m still going for the antihistamines. I had a clam chowder soup yesterday.  White Spot.  Medicinal clam chowder soup. Followed by fish and chips.  It got me an hour more along the life cycle.
People want permanent cures. Life is a marathon. I can at best get from day to day. I hear people retrospectively complaining about a lifetime of misery and explain to them that I haven’t a clue as to whether or not yesterday even existed. All we have is today.  Really the misery of yesterdays doesn’t need to be remembered and stuck on the wall like a collection of dead insects, lost days , in a life time of struggle. I just have to get through today. If thinking about something positive will help me I’ll do it. It’s just too easy to focus on the negative. I see people revelling in their suffering.  Not me. I’m a stoic.  Ask everyone around. I’m just a regular Man Cold, complaining, whimpering, narcissistic dying person.
They don’t know that I am the sufferer. I have a Man Cold.  This is something even women can’t appreciate.  I am now fantasizing on running away to the tropics.  I have had enough of Canadian winter.
I am utterly tired of hearing about Climate Change from those along the tropics where the vast majority live in relative comfort and joy. They think ‘climate change’ is some terrible thing with the water rising a tiny bit each year. and the prospect of having to move from the coast to the interior a thousand years hence. They really just bitching about the declining real estate value on their multimillion dollar coastal view homes.
They are so very un Canadian. They hardly have seasons but demand billions now from the world to pay for their air conditioning units. They’re so very un Canadian. Here it’s either freezing our balls or burning our feet. We have annual climate change. It’s a real bitch. They should stop their weather girl bitching and get a real life.  All their Al Gore talk about the polar caps melting. 90% of the little Climate Change wankers haven’t even seen snow.
DiCaprio wet his pants when he encountered a Calgary chinook. These are sometimes weekly events. The Climate Change Twinkies are effete boys and girls who live in womb like worlds and are projecting catastrophe on the whole world because they had to buy a new air conditioner because their last one wore out a year earlier.  Make them  live in a real place like Canada and see how then maybe we’ll listen to what they have to say about weather.  But only if when the weather is freezing outside they get a Man Cold on top of that and still go to work, rather than having a government job where they stay home with just a sniffle.
It’s terrible out there.  My friend had my truck. He’d borrowed it. I begged him to bring it back. I can’t face another day going to work without my F350 Ford with snow tires, and a couple of winches. I’ve got a back up ATV in the box so if I can’t get out of a tough snow situation I can unload the quad and go overland.  I’m terrified of going to work in my little Miata. With the roads so icy I could slide out and hit one of those tragic little  Millenials wearing a Bernie ball cap  pushing their bicycle through snow drifts. .  So many Car2Gos  in the ditch.  Thera radio announcer keeps reporting another accident  closeing intersection. I’d get out and walk but if I slip I’d break a hip and the ambulances might not get to me for days.
Climate Change. The pompous little potato wants more money for this red herring when we all know the money is to put more gold in his multi million dollar Ssusex Drive Palace. He probably has heat floors.  Taxing the air and giving our countries hard earned money to wife beating pedophiles even more corrupt than him with his dictator friends and grandiose fantasies.  .
Meanwhile I’m full of self loathing.  I should have a real job where I didn’t have to work for a living.  It’s the Man Cold. I should have taken up a life of crime so that I could go out and kill an enemy when I’m feeling this way.  If I had another religion I could behead someone for not dressing the way I approve. I could have virgins thrown at me.  There are definitely  perks I’m missing out on.
Right now I have to get up and get a kleenex. The box of kleenex is just out side of my reach.  Snot is dripping onto my upper lip.  No body knows the troubles I’ve seen.

Politics, Meditation and Mental Illness

Politics is defined as the art or science of influencing government policy. I’ve always been surprised by the term ‘science’ in relationship to politics but political science is defined as ‘the social science discipline that deals with the systems of government and the analysis of political activity and behaviour. ‘  A scientific study did show that voting was influenced by sunny versus rainy days. That’s good science.
All aspects of psychology, marketing and logic and rhetoric go into the ‘power game’ of ‘politics’.  Indeed war was considered the last act of diplomacy.  So politics might include nuking the enemy when all else fails.  It’s not a particularly ‘ethical’ or ‘moral’ field if one views history.  Politics has been part of the social behaviour of cannibals and the Amish.  Nazis and Tibetans have politics.
I’d hazard to say that Meditation, the reflection on God or oneness or breath, alone, by oneself, is perhaps the exact opposite of politics.
Monasteries have major political disputes once two monks get together in a cell.  Lovers are fine until the government of bed enters the equation as in ‘whose going to make the bed.'
I’ve had moments of mental illness when I’ve become involved in politics personally. I vote. I contribute money to political parties.  But rarely have I actually got involved in ‘governance.’  I’ve been a ship’s captain and keeping a crew from mutinying when they are frightened has taken all my moral reserve.  Marriage has had me thinking ‘all’s fair in love and war’.
To this end I appreciate the irony and difficulty involved in herding cats and humans.
Lovely studies like the “experiments’  show that most people will devolve quickly to murderous behaviour despite all their pollyanna high minded spiels of peace and good will.
All around the world there are clear and evident examples of the masses of people and large groups acting poorly given half  a chance.  What’s actually miraculously  quite abnormal is to see people acting well.  Those who think it is our ‘nature’ to be love children are to my mind, the most mentally ill, delusional, and likeliest to project their murderous rage on their neighbour.  (They’re commonly attracted to the left wing which generally lacks standards so celebrates inclusivity and later gets into difficulty justifying pedophiles in their midst).
Our closest animal neighbour is the chimpanzee and ask the peaceful rhesus monkey how it likes living beside these fellows when they have a hankering for monkey brain. Even the peace and love bonobos who share equal DNA with chimps and man aren't loathe to kill other primates in a political way.  So, for the mentally ill among us, killing is a ‘natural’ human trait.
However in the war research of “On Killing”,  by Lt Col Dave Grossman, he has noted that collections of humans range from very good killers to not very good killers.  Robert Hare the forensic psychologist has specifically looked at psychopaths and sociopaths.  My favourite Sgte Major described his own killing propensity as “I don’t like killing other humans but there are wolves and I’m like a sheep dog.  The wolves want to kill the sheep and I want to protect the sheep. Killing wolves follows from that."
We are living in a time when the sheep baaas and blatting have loud speakers called media and internet.  The mentally ill deny their capacity for killing but are noted to enjoy the benefits of having killers among them.  Presidents and Prime Ministers who are associated with  the most violent of all, the ruling elites, (the billionaires, the tyrants, the democratic leaders, UN leaders, etc) all would disarm their populations while reserving the right to be surrounded by gun toting secret service and secret armies.  Rarely are these men and women armed themselves so that they can maintain the lie.  It’s always best that others don’t know your riches. Weapons have always been like gold.  Bankers love to have lots of folk with major weapons protecting them.
So I did my time when younger, serving as secretary, vice presidents, and presidents and leaders in various organization.  All my life I’ve been a member of churches and community organizations ‘volunteering’, but not particularly enjoying it.
The nature of my work is people in conflict.  I’ve trained extensively in the politics of groups and family and individuals psychopathology.  I’ve watched corruption permeate unions and administrations.  I’ve had my life threatened and my family threatened when I’ve been effective in curtailing abuse.
Most activists are irrelevant.  They are predominantly distractions.  When the rubber hits the road, money is defended by weapons.  Those who threaten wealth will be threatened. I tell political folk if you aren’t being ridiculed, threatened and demonized and called ‘mentally ill’ then most likely you are helping and enabling the very people you claim to be against.
The thing that all political scientists will tell you is that politics is complex.  Science is ‘multi factorial’.  I loved to play chess. It was the fundamental game to teach leaders politics and war. There are moves within moves.
I got distracted by politics this fall.  Normally I’m trying to keep my head down.  Canada is a terrifying country when you question authority.  It may be the least terrifying country to question authority in or it may be the most deceitful. I belonged to a group called the “psychiatrists against the political abuse of psychiatry’.  When one questions the killer elite (that 1-2% of society that hold power by force) one is imprisoned in a jail or an asylum.  In Canada as opposed to China, Russia, Saudi Arabia or Argentina, political dissidents are rarely killed. They are usually ‘discredited’, and lastly put in jail or asylum. I was for a time a member of Physicans Against Nuclear War, Human Rights Association and the Canadian Civil Liberties.  I have been frankly humbled and terrified by state power and frankly quite ashamed of my own cowardice and how little I tolerate pain and how easily truth can be discarded by the authorities who actually will tell you “we make the truth’.
Since my own “close encounter’ I have worked with torture victims and refugees from countries where the authorities are more heavy handed than here. I know most Canadians don’t know what they’re talking about. I have friends who ‘whisper’ still despite being in Canada for 20 years.  It’s something I’ve yet to learn. That’s what’s so different about Canada.
So I’ve really avoided ‘politics’.  Friends who knew me for causing student rebellions and overturning university magazines with acid tongued satire and political writing haven’t recognized me in recent years. I’m a coward. That’s the difference. I’m no longer innocent and I certainly don’t want to be a fool. There’s no ‘one bad man’.  Modern times are a cowboy show. There’s not ‘good guys and bad guys’.  It’s all a bit grey. The war of words is covered by the ‘fog of war’ just like the real war zone is.  The evil is a ‘nest of men and women’ who are paranoids.
I stopped believing in the left or the right having any true distinction because the ‘elite’ will use whichever political system gives it the most control.  I’ve actually begun to think they’re ready to shaft religion too for the ultimate power of ‘one world order’.
My main dialogue is with God.  While I know God works through people and all of that I personally believe my focus needs to be on the transcendent. I belong to an organization that discourages even ‘righteous anger’ . But having decided a law degree would only help me with increased materialistic wealth, as the courts today are solely about money, and they’ve become a legal theocracy above all else, I thought I’d study for a master of divinity.  I had done a ll the ecumenical studies in Christianity and extensive comparative religious studies and world religion studies.  I was arguing more with God and yet having faith in God’s love.  I worried about arguing with my parents because they’d just send me to my room. When I was married my wife would always win arguments with bedroom violence, the siege techniques of the headaches. It became obvious that no matter how ‘right’ I was others were more prone to covert aggression and less interested in the truth.
I loved books, like Brothers Karamazov, King Lear, the Gospel, The Torah, the Bhagat va Gita, the Koran, Thus Sayest Zarusthra, Franny and Zoe, Yogananda, Of Human Bondage, William James, Das Kapita,  For years I’d study chemistry in the day and read the great tombs of literature in the evening. My wife at the time was a party girl and found my interest in book stores and intellectuals rather offensive.  She liked light hearted chatter with agreeing girlfriends and family and avoided dialogue having come I’d later learn from a violent home where alcohol and fists ruled.
I have known always that homicide or suicide don’t win an ‘argument’.  The person who does either ‘loses the debate’, simply because I don’t believe in death.  I also believe if I wanted to be a killer I could be a better killer than anyone I’ve met. Which is why I became a doctor because it’s much harder to revive someone than it is to destroy them. My colleagues are still working on a cure for radiation poisoning.  I’ve become adept at healing PTSD and really did a lot for people with head injury when no one else found these groups ‘sexy’ or ‘lucrative’.  I’m less interested now that i know more colleagues who are superior clinicians in Neuropsychiatry and some of the great military psychiatrists are finally getting their due for their research in PTSD.  There’s an irony that head injury research had to wait funding not for all the soldiers but for the hockey players and football players to appear to have concerns.
But personally my argument is with God.
My brother developed cancer this spring. He’s a young man. I was with my mom and dad when they were growing old and dying.  My brother’s cancer is to my mind a product of the stress he’s faced being a good man in this country of Canada. He’s the best man I know.  He was my big brother and protected me from bullies. We went to boy scouts together.  We canoed. We hiked, We hunted.  My dad and he and I and a dog were a ‘unit’ in the woods together. Fishing mom would come along in the boat but hunting it was just us three with my brother watching over me. Later he’d join the Billy Graham Movement, a really high minded man who was a leading academic and great sports man.  He’s still playing hockey. He has been married all his life it seems to a beautiful brilliant woman and the  two have had the most incredible brilliant sons all really smart fine people, engineer, geologist, psychologist. They’re hilarious and help out and work together.  They’re a Canadian style Salvador Dali Rockwell Family painting in a Group of Seven backdrop. .
I believe my brother’s cancer is a product of the stress its’ become for good people to be good and do good work in Canada today.”  It wears one down.
I’m in Vancouver where there’s a criminal every  block. The principle economy was drug dealing. There’s gangs and killings and it’s all packaged for tourists like some pretty place where everyone is ‘pretty’.  Yet the principal housing market has been dominated by offshore money which we hear by and by has come from factories run by killing workers or by communist gang theft or simple off shore graft.
My brother and I were in boy scouts.  I loved the movie “The Last Boy Scout”.
As a family we recently watched Star Wars together.  Notice these themes that appeal to the ‘underdogs’.
Politically I got pissed off after my brother got cancer.  I have watched health care funding in Canada plummet and our hospitals become dominated by whack jobs.  We have 20 times the administration of Germany with its equivalent if not superior medical care.  Every doctor including myself lives in fear of political interference.  We are told by lawyers to avoid drawing attention to ourselves. We are literally told to do the least for patients. Our political apparatchiks tell us the patient is the ‘customer’.  I am punished for doing more never for doing less.
So then some wanker calls me a “Climate Change Denier”.  This moron calls me ‘psychotic’ because that’s what ‘denial’ is. He says I’m not a scientist because I’m tired of pseudoscientists from the Silent Spring book, to the Ozone layer, then Methane Layer, Global Freezing, to Global Warming, to now Climate Change Fraud demanding money from real science for this attempt at making the UN a one world order and Agenda 21 the halcyon call for the killer elite of tyrant countries at the UN where freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of science are literally outlawed.  In all these racist sexist  UN countries there are scientists like Gallileo rotting in jails.  The Saudis and the Thais arrest anyone who questions the divinity of the king.  The Saudis behead them.
Now our government has given a few billion dollars to the UN wankers and the Climate Change Cult has spent a trillion and a half on bogus ‘save the planet’ bs, meanwhile I’ve watched medicine cure AIDS, erase epidemics, counter schizophrenia. It’s been a miracle after miracle working in the world of real science. We’ve put people on the moon and are sending people to Mars soon. We have lazer surgery and have extended life expectancy and cured countless baby deforming disease in the womb. We, the real scientists, are daily faced with government restrictions because the politicos want committee meeting after committee meeting to discus their coffee breaks.  All the while I guess I see my brother having a curable disease, a mere cancer and I’m wanting all that bogus waste of money in the Climate Change Cult budget going where it needs to go, the cure of cancer.
So I went ballistic when Justin Trudeau won and took a 380 friend multi million victory party to Paris and  gave billions of dollars to the UN tyrants and killers for their bogus pseudoscience scam Climate Change.
Meanwhile I work each day with heroin and cocaine addicts whose pushers are driving ferrari’s and the police are unable to catch them because of the corruption in our legal system that allows drug dealers and their rich political friends to get around the law. Meanwhile I live in fear like every other Canadian that I will make any mistake because I know that the police will have a swat team on me and the Revenue Canada will freeze my accounts and send in a mob of consulting accountants if I make even the tiniest mistake,Meanwhile criminals and drug dealers and lying climate change cultists and fat cats galore get away with rank evil.
I don’t do well with politics any more. I have a flashing ‘suicide/homicide sign in my head and begin thinking of gassing myself and setting myself on fire because the sheer stupidity and corruption of the system sickens me.  Meanwhile I share on face books because I keep thinking I can wake up cabbages.
But we’re all really happy slaves.  Well fed.
One is mentally ill to question authority in Canada. One is perhaps even more mentally ill if one doesn’t at some time question God. Atheists might do well to question themselves.
Now the Muslim Migrants en mass are coming and I’m flash backing to the sheer terror I lived in during the IRA bombings in London and I know Justin Trudeau doesn’t care.  The elite are protected. They live here in West Vancouver. They don’t live in Kitsilano or Richmond, or even Shaughnassey. They certainly don’t live in the Downtown Eastside.
They have lear jets and howitzers and helicopters and private armies and if they get cancer they go to Swiss Clinics and Mayo and thankfully there is ‘trickle down science’ and we learn from the cures that they get for their cancer.
My brother is getting great care and the cutting edge in cancer treatment.  My parents had great medical care. Our family has had really good medical care. And I’m just afraid.  My Prime Minister is offering us marijuana and physician assisted suicide. I’m past retirement age but like all north americans we’re being told that we can’t afford to retire. I don’t want to retire. I just thought I’d have this trade and be able to practice this trade called ‘medicine’ wherever I went. It’s like a carpenter but now there’s a baurocratic tollgate for every action i take. there’s a tax on using the outhouse.
So I’m frustrated. I think the government is throwing money away on cronyism and not addressing the real issues. So I got involved in politics. I became a ‘critic’.  I’m spiritually supposed to be celebrating the positive and ignoring the negative.  I just can’t see any positive. It’s my perspective.
I don’t like being a critic. I like to sing Kumbaya and have group hugs and put my head in the sand like an ostrich. I like to meditate. I like to be  a hermit. I’m happiest alone in Canada’s north with a trailer a truck and a rifle and a dog. I occasionally like others for brief periods.
I like helping people, healing, know my chemistry and pharmacology but mostly like to watch ‘relationship therapy’ in action.  As my lawyer friend said, I saw you become a doctor and thought that if you can get through school so could I. Now I watch addicts and alcoholics stop drinking and drugging figuring if a loser like me can get through life without smoking cigarettes or smoking dope or getting drunk or shooting up, maybe they can.  I have far more pleasure and joy than the average person. i’m blessed beyond any desert I have. I’m grateful for the impossible mercy of the universe. I’m in love with life at times. I’m thankful to be human.  I know so much depends on perspective. I see the effects of my patients depression and mania on the same situation.  I know these things.
But I don’t like politics. I don’t like playing the critic even if I know it’s a game. I don’t think I’d like killing the enemy but I’d be a damn good sheep dog.
Right now we’re in a war of words.  We’re losing.  So much we took for granted like ‘freedom of speech’ is gone.  We have massive propaganda and marketing budgets keeping us collectively stupid. There is a conspiracy. It’s call the Elite or the state and you. I knew Reagan was an actor so I didn’t mind if he was a puppet at times. He was a believable puppet. Justin Trudeau is a high school acting student. He’s just not believable.  His insincerity is so transparent. I have to give him credit he’s trying.   I would rather celebrate the good guys but frankly I don’t see any yet on the other side. it’s not that our Prime Minister is so bad but it’s that ‘this is the best we as Canada can produce’, a high school teacher with a winning name and a cupcake body and Justin Bieber smile.  This is all we as Canadians can put forth.
I want a Winston Churchill even knowing I’d probably have been a critic of him or an Ataturk or a Jefferson.
I really must get back to talking with God. I truly believe he’s the one that’s the primary producer , director and writer of life so there must be something I’m not getting and it’s fundamentally in my relationship with God and not anything to do with cancer or Justin Trudeau or Migrant Muslims.
I’m aging and coming to terms with my death and looking back on my life and thinking that all those ‘ideals’ I believe in and fought for, and sacrificed for,  like ‘freedom’ ,are evaporating.  We know, too,  “Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.” I think of that each day as I see the food lines and shelters and tent cities increasing in Canada.  There’s a great image in Dr. Zhivago when the smart money man looks out on the street at the starving people outside the restaurant.  I like Douglas Adam’s ‘Restaurant at the End of the Universe’ image best.
Maybe I fear I will be a prisoner of death. I’ve known always that homicide or suicide can free me from life. I say ‘homicide’ and mean, I could ‘hop on a plane’ tonight, fly to the front, whichever one, and join someone killing terrorists and no doubt get myself killed. I could walk out today and be a missionary doctor in Africa and die in the weekly persecution of Christians.  I am ‘free’ in this life.
But death. I think I’m afraid of it because I fear there will be no ‘freedom’ there.  So the encroaching totalitarianism in Canada makes me face the fact  that God has given me death around the corner and I’m not ready for it.  I realize I’m in this stream of life and I literally can not swim back against the rising pressure of history, biography and science..  My brother is no longer ‘free’ because he has a cancer, like a parasite, attached to him.  I know he wants with all his life to be free of this rebel within, this disease that goes against everything he believes in.
I’m sorry I’ve been angry with politics and government and all the media nonsense. I’m sorry I’ve argued with friends and strangers on Facebook. My argument is with god.  I know this.  I have faith but still that doesn’t mean I have to go quietly. My meditation these days is more a 'nails on glass' scream.  I’m past the point of ‘om’.  I’m not ready to say ‘amen’ either.

John 8: 42 NIV Study Bible

"If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now I am here. I have not come on my own but he sent me.  Because you are unable to hear what I say, you belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
The message of Jesus Christ is that God is not some old white hair guy or gal sitting on a cloud directing the universe. The Cosmic Christ is God Immanent.  God manifested himself in the world.  His son, his image, his word are here and now with us.  That word is the word of truth.
To me that is as true as ‘scientific truth’.  The Creationist knows God first manifest himself in Nature before the Fall and before the Cross.  Within nature there is the perfection and messages found in the matter of fractals, in the triangle, in the hologram.  There are immeasurably signs that man and nature did not just happen but were conceived.  A monkey given time simply could not compose as does Bach. The Big Bang theory, a foundation of science, states that there is a ‘finite’ time from creation. Within that time, a monkey simply could not compose as Bach.  Countless other matters of creation could not have ‘evolved’ simply because there is not the amount of time for evolution to occur. Further the idea of mutation doesn’t take into account that most mutation is devolutionary not evolutionary.  Understanding science and string theory and quantum physics scientists see the hand of God. Even Einstein, a theorist, said ‘God does not play with dice.’  This life is not ‘random’ but there is purpose.
I believe my purpose in life is truth.  The language of truth is fundamental.  The deep evil of political correctness language, the language of the demonic, is that it confuses truth.  “My truth”, says the devil.  Of course we all know that there are many perceptions and many angles of vision and experience. Yet in the end, we agree on truth in science. It’s called objectivity. My truth is subjectivity.  Together we know more than as one. Together we can.  The irony and hypocricy and utter deceit of the left and politically correct is their fixation on the ‘consensus opinion’ of ‘climate change’ yet they themselves insist on the language of ‘my truth’.  The very truth was the thing of ‘consensus’ not an individual claim. The devil lies. The devil is deceit. There is a yes and a no.  We know all is grey but the ‘aha’ moment gives us insight and discernment so that no everything isn’t true.  There is truth.  It is from God. It is the truth of science and gravity here on earth. It is the truth of right and wrong. There is morality.
Smoking marijuana and drinking excessively there is a blurring of the world. Everything is okay.  This is not enlightenment but devolution to a lower level of non discrimination. A child puts everything into his mouth and learns that poisons are not to be taken. The drug addict is so accepting so ‘chill’, so ‘cool’.  ‘Take it easy, Man, everything is cool.”  No it’s not. That’s the devil speaking. That’s a lie.  Everything is not ‘cool’.  Maybe in some metaphysical way it is but right here and now the killing of a child would not be cool. Ironically if I offer to taken the drug addict’s drug, suddenly this generous easy going guru of enlightenment becomes more truthful. The same with the politicians and rich men and women who are generous with the goods, labour and money of others.  It is not that they are evil but they do seem to heed the devil more than they heed the father. They are leaders who lead from behind not those who charge with the troops.
The historical Jesus said he was from God and that God sent him.  Fundamentally I don’t know how I got here.  I know from stories I was born to my mother but I don’t even remember it. I don’t remember my time in the womb. I have a birth certificate.  I presume that I exist as Descartes so simply stated, “I think therefore I am”  (Cogito ergo sum).  But I don’t know if I spontaneously occurred or was sent. It’s an act of humility to consider that I might not have the capacity to ‘self create’.  I know about sperm and eggs and that whole biological cycle but it’s all ancient and truly mysterious and difficult and unpredictable and even sketchy in parts that there is today no ‘consensus’ on the ‘start’ of human life.  The abortionists, great lovers of the devil, rich ruthless men and women who are the greatest of murderers and deceivers who have argued that it is not murder to kill even a full grown child in the mother’s womb about to be naturally born. These men and women for money would kill babies and toddler if they could convince the world that they were good.  The devil is the great deceiver.  But no we don’t quite know with utter certainly if God invests the fetus with life at the moment of egg meeting sperm or perhaps later in the womb. Indeed religionists say that each life is ‘predestined’. This means that God meant for the birth to occur. God mean for the egg to meet the sperm and life to follow. God did not mean for abortion to occur.
In this scenario there is a life purpose, that is God and there is the death purpose that is the Devil’s.  Freud called this ‘life wish’, eros and death wish, thanatos.  The devil is murderous. This dichotomy of good and evil is of this world , where truth and lie exist.  There is night and day. There is evidence of particle and wave.  Flow and stasis.  Right and wrong. Truth and lie.  The language is not ‘my truth’ and ‘your truth’ but rather ‘my perception of truth’ and ‘your perception of truth’ otherwise these politically correct nut bars would have us saying ‘my light’ and ‘your light’ and the pc police would have you arrested if you insisted at midnight in utter darkness that ‘its’ night’ not ‘day’.
Language is the first casualty of war.  And don’t get me wrong, I believe there is a war.  The devil is in the detail. The politically correct speakers are demonic. They are liars. They would try to convince us that ‘black is white’ so we will accept that ‘your money is my money’ and ‘your life is my life’.  Political correctness in all it’s forms is evil.
Jesus Christ was without sin. To sin is to ‘miss the mark’. It means ‘to sin’ is to err.  My intention when I shoot my rifle at a target is to hit the bullseye.  When I miss I have ‘sinned’.  To those who argue that all is ‘determined’ and ‘all is fate’ and that they have no accountability and no responsibility then there can be no sin. Yet I have observed these sinners all my life and they are very specifically willing to accept praise and reward for what they do but unwilling to accept punishment and blame. They are above the law. Their truth is narcissism. Their father is the devil.   They ‘change history’ to agree with what they want because they do not want to admit that their ‘purpose’ was other and that good came regardless of their intent. They would argue that ‘good things’ happen and ‘bad things happen’ and they were ‘lucky’ and you were ‘un lucky’.  They deny they ‘fix’ the games because they are liars.  The devil is a murderer and a liar.  If all is ‘accidental’ then the devil doesn’t have to be accountable.  They never accept responsibility for their behaviour but would rather ‘deny, deny, deny, lie, lie, lie’.
Now  the old language of the Bible is nonetheless a valid language. I can use the word ‘karma’ instead of ‘retribution’. I can put the language of Jesus into the California message of the Secret. I can talk about the first law of physics as God and the second law of physics as the devil. I can show the opposing forces in the universe physically and ask why there would not be opposing forces in man. I feel there is a ‘good’ way to do something and a ‘bad’ way.  If I want to build something I can do it with ‘efficiency’ and ‘least waste and destruction’ or I can cause the most havoc and crisis to achieve my end.  The idea of good and bad, or good and evil is throughout our world and our society. We question the decisions that serve the fewest and celebrate those decisions that benefit the most.
Increasingly there are bankers and financial folk who trade in companies and acquire drugs that cure and yet they price them at maximum profit and show no interest in the outcomes of their decision and how they would affect a sick child.  There is a back lash.  It’s karma. It’s Jesus. It’s Christ. Life’s a bitch.  But there seems to be a connection between kicking and mule and being kicked back.  We know in war that more people are killed by ‘friendly fire’ and the ‘stupid decisions of leaders’ than by the enemy bullets.  This push back is everywhere. This is ‘truth’.
Now the politically correct would lie and lie extensively.  Truth is truth. It’s not a possession. The new consumer society would say this is ‘my planet’. This is ‘my galaxy’. This is ‘my creation’. They sound like little children because they have not morally or emotionally developed. They are not diaper trained either.  Jesus recognized that the world was full of children and he loved the children.  So he said, “forgive them for they know not what they do’.  They are the tool of the devil. They are deluded. They are the zombies who are taken over by political correctness and other godless lies.
Of course it’s not ‘cool’ to think of the Devil as a serpent. Just like it’s not cool to think of God as a white haired elder out on a cloud. Just as God is immanent so is the devil. The devil is that which is inside you that is destructive. God is that which is creative. God and the devil are two voices inside each of us.
Jesus is asking which you will call your Father. There is choice. And you will be accountable.

Journal - Dec. 1, 2015

I awoke this morning and the awful chill was gone.  I live in a trailer.  I leave the electric heater on at night.  The electric blanket does the rest.  When I want to blast the place with warmth I turn on the propane heater.  I do that when I come home and when I get up in the morning.
It has been so cold the last few nights that I've been waking because my bare arm had got out from under the blanket and was chilled.
This morning I awoke and it was warm.  I commented on this to Gilbert the cockapoo.  "Gilbert," I said. "It's warm".  He looked back at me intelligently with just a touch of snyde. "Yes, but would you hurry up and pee so I can get out and sniff shit and pee myself."
And sure enough, when we went outside it was 'wet'.  Yesterday there had been this white frozen Eastern/Northern Canada all over.
That's when I realized what was happening.  This was the beginning of the Paris Climate Change Conference.  And with all that hot air, gleeful hand rubbing and conference sex the temperature of the planet had gone up another degree.
Gilbert found the perfect place to poop. Life went on.  I'm personally grateful for the warmth.  Normal people, those who actually live and work and walk on the planet have moved with weather and wars and such.  The greatest migrations were in the Ice Age.  There are migrations with war now. But those migrating don't want to move to the north. My Scottish and Irish forebears did just that.
I'm a northern.  We're not that disappointed to have summer lengthen and the winter shorten. It's not happened yet but we're hoping.
We've always welcomed migrants to the northern regions of our country but mostly they gravitate to the southern cities.  They complain that there's no one in the north and nothing to do.  My grandfather and people from Europe came here to the north west and built the  cities and roads and railways.  It's been a matter of pride for me to sing Gordon Lightfoot's song, Canadian Railway Trilogy.  I doubt the new migrants will know that song.  It was written and sung in English.
Mostly I hear that everything that Europeans did was wrong.  The black tribes that colonized Africa and the Asian tribes that coolonized Asia and the Aboriginal tribes that colonized America now are taught to hate the last colonist. It's called 'terms of reference'.  The game goes like this. I hit you countless times but when you hit back, we start the game there and I call you a colonist.  That's what happened with the Muslim invaders.  Now the Crusaders are evil for defending Europe from the invasions in Spain and Italy.
The way this goes, the Jews were the ones who hurt Germany and the Japanese were the victims of WWII.   Maybe our soldiers who fought in wars will be arrested and shot. That's what the Communists did to their allies.
I am afraid to leave my home somedays because of the hate that is happening right now. Not hundreds of years in the past but right now. Strangers attack me verbally and say I'm a horrible being because I'm white.  Second they say I'm priviledged because I was born in Canada and that I have to give everything to them.
I know from my work that when people get free stuff and don't have to work for it, they don't learn anything more than theiving. Because begging when there is work to do is a kind of thieving.
There's lots of work to be done in Northern Canada.
Saskatchewan needs a northern city desperately.  BC has Prince George and Alberta has Edmonton but Saskatchewan needs it's northern city.
Now old man Trudeau, the father of the present pretty boy son. He actually set up 'work camps' for the young in the north. I visitted one in Northern Ontario. The young men of Canada built a community up there in the cold fighting off the mosquitos and black flies.  The work was 'public work' and the kids were really glad to do it.
Like the American Peace Corp but inside the country.  This was the great vision of the day.
If the planet warms a bit, maybe then we'll get a city or two more in Northern Canda.
Funny how no one ever cared about the cold in the north.  Suddenly those living lives of luxury in the equatorial hot  belt where they pretty much outlawed Christianity and have been persecuting, killing, and torturing Christians and other Europeans for as long as man can remember, everyone there wants us here to help them.  I'd be glad if we offered them land in the north and let them get out of their war zone and help build this nations that my family certainly has invested countless lives in.
I'd like to see that.  I'd also like to have heathens stop biting the hand that feeds. My mother taught me that you don't get by in life doing and saying bad things to people if you want them to be your friends and help you. But then you are actually calling my mother and all white mothers dirty stupid whores. I know you're trying to do it in a politically correct way.  Political correctness is the idea that you can pick up a tourd by the clean end.  I know you have a very bad potty mouth and lie but I don't think it's right you call my mother and all white and Christian and European and Canadian mothers dirty colonizing white priviledged whores. I'd like you to stop that.
I'd really like the courts of Canada to hold legally accountable what people who are speaking in other languages are saying that amount to 'hate speech' in English. I've had countless languages translated to learn what people from other countries are calling me and mine and if I said anything close to that I'd be in jail. So I'm waiting for a list of the worlds 'expressions' in the various languages that are banned.  Until then I get the feeling that the courts aren't working for Canada but are indeed trying to destroy me.
Freud said when they came to rescue him from the Nazis, "Maybe the paranoids are right."
That's the way I feel with all these southerners demanding money for air conditioning, taxing my breathing, cause that's where CO2 comes from and restricting 'freedom of speech' the very thing that my grandparents and their grandparents fought for.  Freedom of Speech is what is 'democracy'.
And if another person calls me 'colonizing white priviledge Canadian', I think I should be able to call them a "dangerous coloured priviledged invader".
Now that's been my thinking and soon I'll keep such thoughts to myself so that my throat doesn't get slit in the night. I've studied history and thats what comes next. The fact is, most everyone I talk to feels they're lost, either the banks and courts here are going to turn them into worse slaves or the new migrants are going to riot and ruin the country with demand for handouts.  I'm watching what happens in Sweden and Denmark and am concerned as I'm getting old er when I won't be able to work and I see so many young people collecting pensions that Canadians wanted to reward the old who had worked their lives for Canada with. Instead this money, our future reward, the reward for our soldiers and our old is being given away to those who have never served Canada and won't even go to the north to work.
But that's my frustration these days.
It comes down to fear. I'm afraid for the future.  The antidote is to focus on the day.  I know God is in the present.  I have to trust God and live for today. Carpe Diem. Tomorrow isn't here and God will take care of this.  If we're lucky management will be rewarded as all of us are rewarded with 'doing unto others as we would do unto them.'  No body in Canada really is upset with migrants or the southern climate beggars. We're just collectively tired of everyone claiming they're more victim than you are. There will need to be a new Darwin's Award and a Canadian Award to compete with the Olympics, and the Canadian Award will be for those who are the greatest whiners and beggars.  It's a welfare thing now but it really should take itself less seriously.
It's the season too. I'm supposed to be thinking of the birth of Christ and the renewal of the world but instead I'm distracted by the News.
I'm going to spend the rest of the day trying to be more loving and caring to the people I know. These things going on in Paris and the Middle East are all above my care grade and I know management on this planet given its lies and wars is Satanic.  I'm holding out for the afterlife. I believe that if I change my perspective here I will see the best now and the best will also come. If I focus on the insaneity of my leadership's decision and the deceitful propaganda of the media I'll become just like them.
But now it's shower and clothing and get to work time.
Thank you Lord for Gilbert getting better. Thank you for the warming of today. Thank you for truth and free speech. Thank you for the sacrifices of my family through generations for democracy and freedom. Thank you for the food I've got and the clothing I've got and the work I've got. Thank you for my education. Thank you for today's warmth.  God bless to all. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.

Climate Change Hysteria Wankers

“i’m a doctor to the planet,” the ecologist professor smugly told me.  He then went on to insist that his department needed all the funding in the university for research. He felt all governments needed to give all their money to the study of his ‘new kind on the block proposals.’  When psychology became a university department we heard all kinds of utopian claims.  Always they’re followed by ‘give us all the money. We’re most important."
Kiota Accords.
The United Nations.
“Don’t you care about planet Gaia?"
Lots of ad hominem.  “You’re a climate change ‘denier’"
“I”m not in denial you offensive little smegma. You’re misusing the language of psychiatry. I’m a psychiatrist. Biochemistry and chemistry were my pre medicine majors. I’m a scientist too.  I’ve heard every department in the university demanding money by saying that the world is going to end if they don’t get more money. You’re not new.  I’m just a little skeptical.  It’s an admirable trait in a scientist."
“You’re in denial."
“No i’m not. Again that’s a word from my scientific vocabulary. You’re an offensive little shit for calling me and other scientists names.  You’re a bully and a shit. So fuck off. That’s the language scientists use between scientists. Not this priggish political correctness bs."
So
1) Climate Changes….no one denies this.  You dreamed up the whole denial business because you are a bloody wanker.  There, wanker is a better term for you than denier is for me.  There are seasons. Seasons are change.  There are cycles. Cycles are change. There’s different temperatures throughout the day. No one doubts the ice age. Even the Bible talks about droughts and floods.  So shut the fuck up with your obnoxious bullying thug language couched in political correctness as an attempt to conceal the utter evil chicanery. The greatest political correct spokesman of all time was Hitler. He called the extermination of Jews as the ‘the Solution’. Didn’t mention Auschwitz gas camps. Didn’t mentioned killing and maiming babies. Just called it ’the Solution’. He was the supreme wanker of his day.  So yes I compare wankers.
2) Is the climate getting hotter? Probably. But heat isn’t too good but we’d better watch out if it’s cooling because the ice age something we really don’t want started tomorrow. Maybe if you live in LA it’s terrible to think of heat but I’ve lived in Winnipeg and the Arctic and I know an ice age would be more catastrophic, History says they really were.
3) Is Man ‘causing’ the presumed heating up of the planet?  No one doubts that he contributes. Politicians and climate change activists and everyone else expells hot air. Even wankers know that when they fart they heat up the atmosphere around them.  The question isn’t whether man and women are contributing but to what percent.  The Sun is the major heater in the Solar System. I know there are Sun deniers a plenty.  But the Sun is a particularly significant heat source.  Galileo and the Pope were at odds before. The present Pope seems on board with one group of scientists, the UN lot. The Catholic church got it wrong about Hitler. I preferred Bonhoeffer to the Pope of that day. This fellow though  seems a pretty jolly fellow.  But to err is human.  But lets be conciliatory with the paranoid arch evil climate change fanatics with their psychotic hysteria. Yes man farts. Yes man breathes. Yes CO2 is made by man and there is a need for less parking lots and more trees. I’ve written before I’m all in favour of cities being outlawed by the ecologists. The Pol Pot tried this.  They only killed millions but their ideology was another kind of hysteria.  Cities were bad.  Cities are bad. Those who live in cities are the most wasteful and leave the greatest carbon foot print.  So lets be serious about climate change and stop high rises. Universities have to stop building wasteful campuses.  Climate change conferences have to stop so that fewer jet trails will occur. All the ‘hot air’ of the United Nations should decease and desist.  It’s not just fossil fuels despite the take any sane person would have that this is more about an anti oil, gas and petroleum product political movement than anything truly concerned about the world future.
4) And if we admit that man contributes to climate change and his contribution can be changed by practical means such as limiting city growth then could the climate change hysterics admit that their projects are out by hundreds if not thousands of years.  We heard 10 year. We were told we had 10 years to live. We then got 100 years but the latest projections, projections which have been repeatedly off by decades, is thousands of years.  Science is about developing solutions and the solutions which can be developed in the next hundred years are light years further along than what we’ve done this last 100 years. There’s a science to this advance in solution resolving capabilities. The Science of Solution says that the capacity to solve problems scientifically outweighs the Capacity of Man to find problems.  Calm down the sky is not falling and we’re not going to boil up off the planet.  The prime and most expensive ocean side real estate shall lose value. This is a fact. All those who bought property close to the ocean are going to lose their shirts. Those poor folk with land in the midwest will see an increase in their investments.
5) Stop denying politics.  With change in energy source, China will gain from selling cheap solar panels while Canada will lose because it’s major resource has been natural products not manufactureing. We need to make a cheaper solar panel than China and make our Candu Uranium Generators safer and superior to the competitors.  That said wars are more likely to kill more people than heat.  Wars and famine have always been killers. Migration now is causing a whole lot of death. One child was found washed up on a beach. That wasn’t climate change. That was war.  If we want to stop war we can’t get there by marching for peace. I did that. It didn’t work.  The greatest peace marches of all time were in the 30’s occurring as the Nazis were arming.  Politics and power cost more lives than climate.
6) Now even when we agree that there is a problem.  But climate change hysterics are the sort that could find a problem on a blank wall, what is the solution.  What is the cost. How much money do you want?  The Kiota accords mean everyone in Canada pays everyone in hot countries their old age pension. It’s about that much. Yet tit for tat, no one paid us in Canada for being in the undesirable cold marginal world space while everyone else was living it up in the south. The reason is that no one in the north was smart enough politically to come up with a reverse Kiota Accord. With the old logic of war our forefathers conquered and took the winnings. Every single nation today has forefathers and foremothers who used that logic. The new deconstructionist logic is that we should be guity about our forefathers success and give to the southerners more resources. Carbon tax is just ‘more’ tax by a a different name.  I don’t want to give more taxes to a government that has proved it has no limit to it’s greed and waste.
7) The ecology department at the universities wants trillions of dollars. They have had millions and have been reduced to calling names because their science isn’t as sophisticated as the medical departments which literally wiped out malaria, the plague and all but cured AIDS>  I’d rather give my money to medicine.  I want to live a long life and I learned today that blood transfusions may be the answer against dementia.  Politically the United Nations other than the WHO organization couldn’t agree to fight it’s way out of a wet bag. It’s contributions to history have been utterly appalling.  Lots of cost and very little product for relative investment. Even the building has to be in the US because in most other places in the world the members would tear each other apart. Thanks to our forefathers the UN can exist but that doesn’t mean the tail should wag the dog.
8) I read a delightful book on Yellowstone National Park. It is the only patient that the Ecologists have so far had. I recommend everyone read this book on the history of the ecological interventions into Yellowstone National Park.  It’s a nightmare. Every ecologist solution created worse problems All their bright ideas cost worst waste. If my colleague who refers to himself with the height of arrogance as ‘doctor to the planet’ then he should also admit that he’s about where modern day medicine was therapeutically centuries ago.  Modern ecology isn’t even at the level of leeching.
9) So frankly I don’t want to give these clowns any more money. I know that ‘money’ and ‘grants’ are a pie and I know that they want the whole pie. The psychologists did too but have settled down into being a bit like the English department.  Languages in general is amazing but they really don’t want that much money. They do wonders for taking a lot of the fire out of debates. When people actually learn to speak their alternatives language there’s less fatuous thuggery like calling people ‘deniers’.  Accountants want to know what the climate change hysterics want in actual sums of money.  The question is simply is this the best way to spend my money.
10) the fact is people like variety. I had a ride in the Tesla car. It was fashionable. I’m more likely to buy it because of the quiet and lack of noise pollution than I am because of the energy debate. As a scientist I know how much coal is used to produce the electricity the electric cars run off. Just because the exhaust is over a factory far away, and therefore politically correct, doesn’t mean the car doesn’t have a huge carbon foot print.  Still it’s cute.  So lots of people are going to buy cute.  So when the strident ex hippy dope smoking loud mouths get off their soapboxes there will be diversity. It probably would have occurred because people like the colour green. We like paradise too. So since the industrial age we’ve been making great inroads in advancing technology with less destruction.  War is still a bit. And ISIS continues to chop off heads and destroy tourist sites destroying the future of whole peoples. I’d rather see money spent on killing ISIS and Boco Harem wankers than giving it to the guys whose best product is the history of Yellowstone National Park.  My total experience of the Climate Change folk is their strident hysteria and self righteous religious fervour but with little down to earth actual cash discussions. Their ‘Solution’ is to my mind as costly as the Nazi solution. I believe the planet will last a lot longer than the United Nations and the climate change financial orgy.  I think the department of medicine would spend the money the climate change folk want better. I think the engineers in general could build a better NASA escape elevator and maybe devise an umbrella to block the sun to a considerable part of the planet. Maybe with more money spent on space flight we could pick up some ice from space and rebuild the declining glaciers.  We don’t ever get around to discussing the ludicrousy of climate change projects because we’ve never got beyond them having great bitch fest talks and demanding more and more money.
I don’t like them.  I don’t.  There’s something about them that turns me off.  In fact I find the climate change histerics a bit evil.  I don’t trust them with the planet. I don’t trust the United Nations (period).  I think the climate change hysterics are academic terrorists.  And I think someone should tell the wankers to stop being greedy and to take their rightful johnny come lately place at the academic feeding trough. My money is on the robotic guys to come up with some incredible ‘solution’ and it will just happen scientifically without all that arty farty emotional hug fest and name calling Hollywood pissing contest.  That’s what I think.  I’m not voting for anyone who wants me to pay more money to some guys telling me they are going to save the world.  Wasn’t anyone paying attention when these same wankers insisted the world was going to end with the ozone layer disappearing, or the world was going to end at 2000 because the computers would shut down.
Didn’t you just notice we had Blood moons in spades and eclipses. The Mayans prophecies and the Messianic Jewish prophecies and Nostradamus and the galaxy and Yom Kippur all happened and the planet did not disappear. The rapture didn’t even occur and all the Wiccan ladies had to continue on with their day jobs because the season of the witch didn’t do anything.  That’s prophecy for you.
My prophecy is that we’ll survive. Some of us.  The others will die.  The human race will prevail.  And this will look like a fart to a future race of historians who look through history with their noses seeking to smell a rat. Something stinketh this way cometh.
And one day the banks will disappear and lawyers and doctors and socialists and capitalists like the tribal leaders of a yesteryear. And children in a future year will have individual energy and fly with thought alone and maybe engineered wings.  There will be heaven on earth and we’ll probably not notice because we have a tendency to focus more on things we fear than on things we love.  I’ll end being thankful.  What a great day this is. What a wonderful world.  The future is bright.  Maybe I’ll wear shades. Maybe I’ll not.
