Coyote - Merritt,BC

I saw this fellow running through the fields while I was driving 4x4 back country Merritt, BC. They're legal to shoot all year round but I was brought up by my father to only shoot to eat. He'd been in the military so I figured that came under a different rule. We hunted and coyotes weren't on the menu. I did shoot gophers for my rancher grandfather and when racoons were killing my chickens I shot them too. But this fellow ran along side me less than 50 yards away so was likely young. I saw another coyote later int he day and he was only a flash of tan and grey, he was moving that fast to get away.
