Journal - mid week, early November 2025, Burnaby

Nothing much is happening. I’m grateful. It’s good. Life is good. I slept well after going to bed early.  I’m always thankful for Wednesday because it’s my home group day. I often buy barbecued chicken after and Madigan and I have a little party watching TV.

He’s doing well.  He still has the cone but the wound is clean and he’s taking his antibiotic with butter twice a day. I have to have the sutures taken out 7-10 days. I phone Friday.

My bathroom sink overflowed.  Kelvin from Travco is order an automatic shutoff so that won’t happen again.  

I found money in the bank and redistributed so I’m less concerned  I’m hoping the money flow restores with the coming chcque so I can pay off credit cards.  The outstanding major cost is the Camper and that will be more than $5000 but later.

I’m been stewarding money to meet all obligations and thankful I could pay taxes and rent this weekend with a little left over to gift family.  It’s been a tough time but God is good all of the time.  I’m getting by and disappointed with the federal government spendthrift , inflation and mismanagement.  So much better than Africa and more corrupt countries.  

Watching the spread of Communism and Islamism with concern.  The whole Gaza event was troubling. Always seems the criminals and aggressors are getting a soft touch.  Suddenly Canada is supporting Palestine which has been lead by terrorist Hamma and did a massive attack on Israel.  So why shouldn’t Israel retaliate. Yet here in Canada the leader of the police says that you should resist a home invasion. 

It’s all too weird.  DEA and racism and climate change and all these intellectual schemes.

Meanwhile I go to work each day and am tired at the end of the day. I feel I’m serving a purpose.  I’m personally glad to be able to be preparing for a winter snowbird south and a couple of weeks with Laura in LA visitting art galleries.  

Yesterday we had sunshine.  The leaves are changes. Love the yellows and orange. I’m enjoying the morning light after day light saving change.  I’ll take Madigan for a walk shortly.  

I get to give a picture of the AA World Congress in Vancouver to George tonight.

I was glad I took my laundry in yesterday. I’ll get it back on Friday.  

I cleaned 6 grouse and have the breasts in the fridge marinading in vinegar and soya.  I planned to barbecue them tomorrow.  I’m looking forward to the Bustard Venison on the weekend.  

It’s taking care of business.  

Today the only enjoyable material on social media was the photos of Sidney Sweeney modeling dresses.  I’m enjoying her page popping up on my feed.  Her facial expressions and smiles are interesting.  

I’m older.  My back hurts when I turn.  At then end of a walk I have pain in my hip.  I would like to go to the chiropractor but I’m booked to have my hair done on Saturday. Such Cadillac problems

Now time to walk the dog.

Thanks you for this day. It’s getting colder. I have two heaters running at each end of the motorhome to not blow a circuit and to save on the propane heater.  It’s pretty cozy.
