Hallow’s Eve came and went. Madigan had his tiny basal cell tumor removed from his right elbow by Dr. Biernacki at North Shore Vet. Laura had come over on the Friday so was there when I picked him up from Sabrina and brought him home. He was a little groggy still and sad when he bumped the cone but recovered quickly. He even took his antibiotic clav-amox with butter twice a day just fine. On Saturday we met Peter with Luka and Bella. Bella didn’t like the cone so Madigan isn’t able to socialize yet. Today on Monday he’s much better just waiting for the week of cone, antibiotics and healing to pass so he can get his cone off.
We rested and read books. I finished Tom Clancy’s Ryan book about Guyana and Venezuela and oil.
Last night we watched several episodes of Orville the camp start trek like show with a few seasons. I love sci fi and we’re ally enjoying this. Comedy and serious. A bit like the original with James Cook. Great characters . Laura bought us Me and Ed’s pizza and we shared ice cream with Madigan. The barbecued steak and barbecued chicken meals of the weekend were great too. We just never left thee park.
I was able to pay rend and taxes but feel disheartened that despite working and making supposedly good money I’m just getting by. Had hoped to pay of credit card this week but it will have to wait till next pay. When I think how I’m just getting by I realize the majority of Canadians except crooks and government union folks must be struggling. Food bank use is at an all time high. Carnies economic incompetence globalist agenda is ruining Canadian business. We continue to drop internationally in standard of living. Meanwhile his wife lives in the US and his assets are all in the US.
I’m distracted by the social media news on FB and Grok. I occasional read media but feel out of it because I don’t really trust journalists and politicians. My issues are with God and ‘fear of financial insecurity’ is a spiritual issue. I’m not insecure, at least no more than others. I’m actually outfitted for a couple of months or more in the south and continue to work mostly virtual. Peter was so kind as to share the RV park stops he and Larry use when they go south. I’ve recorded them and checked them out and it’s 4 -5 days at 4 hour drives each day. I’m looking forward to the plan and hoping for no surprises on the drive down.,
It really was relaxing having Laura for the weekend. She was so kind to Madigan and consoled him and petted him. He loves her and loved the attention, Both of us gave him treats. It rained heavy but we got out for walks together when the rain let up.
I’m so grateful for Laura, Madigan, Dr. Biernacki, BCRV park, my Thor, Peter Larry, Luka and Bella, Docside Medical, all the friends and family. I’m so thankful for the colours of Autumn. The air is so fresh.
Thank you God for this weekend and this week. Thank you for all of your blessings.
