Robert Burns Dinner, Simon Frazer Pipe Band Gala

Robbie Burns Dinner is a grand occasion. Not only a celebration to gastronomical divine delight, the immortal haggis,  but this night is also  the anniversary of Scotland’s greatest poet, whose genius immortalized the humble haggis.
The Simon Frazer Pipe Band is by far the greatest pipe band in the world by my own humble opinion.  My friend Lorne and I have enjoyed the occasion richly in previous years.  Manly attired in kilts we brought our wee lassies, Judith and Laura,  along to this illustrious occasion.  They loved the agile dancers and amazing pipers and drummers. The ode to the haggis was superbly delivered.  The food was fabulous. The band was as usual unsurpassed.  The junior bands were represented and they’d just won awards around the world.
It’s a fund raiser and the silent auction was great.  I got a Cuisinart grill which I gave to Laura along with a lovely silver necklace.  All the funds go to the pipe band scholarships.  It was a perfect night.
