Brunette River Walks

Gilbert and I continue to do our Brunette River Walks. I leave the peeing and marking territory up to him and he leaves the photography up to me. It’s a good division of labour.

Brunette River and Springtime Walk

I love the walk along the Brunette River.   I don’t think I really appreciated spring was here to stay until Laura, Gilbert and I walked along the Brunnette River. There’s the Cherry Blossoms in Vancouver and the crocuses.  Then we loved the Mount Vernon Tulip Festival. But walking along the Brunette River seeing all the spring buds and blossoms I finally felt spring was in full swing.  It was a lovely day.  I heard the Kingfishers, but didn’t see them.  Hearing them I know they’re back for another year.   Gilbert loves the walk.

Brunette River Walk with Gilbert

Sunny day. Warm with slight breeze. Blossom fragrances. Other walkers and cyclists on the trail. Smiles, greetings. Occasional tail wagging crotch and butt sniffing encounters. Robins in the trees. Ducks in the river.

I just arrived back from Edmonton. Picked up Gilbert from Hannah. Her dog, a female, bossed him all weekend. He didn't mind. He got to bark whenever someone came to the door. Glad to reunite.
