Journal -Burnaby

Laura left in a taxi this morning. Madigan is quiet again grieving the departure of his friend.  He’s due for grooming this week
I’ve just got off the phone to Traveland Mobile service asking them to replace my outside refridgerator with a freezer for the venison. Victor called saying the Butcher had it ready and he picked it up and put it in the freezer.
I’m glad to be back in Burnaby.  The weather had turned cold in Princeton and I really don’t care for cold now. Back here the nights are chilly but the day is warm. I’ve propane coming on Thursday and will be glad to be over the serious rationing concern.  The electric heat is working fine but having propane is comforting because I can get stove, and hot water and heat with the propane.  Back ups and back ups.  The air conditioning works off the electric.
I emptied the black and grey tanks before returning and am due to empty these again this week when I stow and pull in slides and jacks to take the Thor to Dam’s Ford.
I was talking with Peter who traded in his Tiffany for a Newport at Traveland. Madigan was delighted to visit with Eva and Luka .

I’m in the clinic tomorrow and have a men’s meeting this Wednesday and WDIR meeting this Sunday.  I feel it’s busy but that’s just me.  I just learned that I don’t need winterization fall service as I’d done all the service in the spring. Henry is doing the winterization of my Camper in Chilliwack.

It’s a bright day.  Blue sky.

Work calls.

Today is voting day so I’ll go at noon.

It’s a fast day today.

I’m returning to my routines.  Laura’s doing laundry this week coming so we won’t see her for a couple of weeks.  Madigan and I will settle in.  A dog scratched my leg at the little dog park when I bicycled Madigan there Saturday. I’ve done the iodine then Fucidin and today took a doxycycline.  It’s healing slowly.  I’m consciously having positive thoughts and hope that tomorrow or next day it will be really clearing up.  It’s just a little sore and I tend to catstrophize if I don’t resist the negative things. I’m already a peg leg pirate with parrot and eye patch.

I was glad to get my laundry done and a whole new supply of tshirts and underwear.

I;m grateful for this blessings.  It was a joy to have Laura over for a couple of weeks. Great work hiking and getting 15000 steps. Now I’ve got to get more pedometers steps in the city.  I’m not gaining weight and hoping to lose more weight to be healthier.  I’m convinced it will help my back and overall health.

I’m looking toward to the Palm Springs trip. Adventure. Road Trip.  Getting b ack from Princeton was a joy. I learned from Peter that they’d had a shimmy coming off the I5 in Sacramento.  I’m pleased with knowing what it is and how to handle it and mostly avoid it.

I am blessed.

Thank you God for Laura and Madigan. Thank you for the Thor and Exc alibur Hitch and Jeep Wrangrler. Thank you for BC RV and the Tikky poo laundry and M&Es pizza a nd Traveland.

Thank you Jesus.
