Fountain of Youth RV Park and Spa, 1500 Spa Road, Nilard, California

I left Sleepy Hollow RV Park at 1030 am in a bit of funk. I didn’t like leaving this place I’d made home for a month and enjoyed so much.  I’d had a great time walking Madigan in the park, the hills and daily to the dog park where he met many other dogs while I chatted with owners. The Quechuan Band had a good thing going with their market and laudramat.  There was construction on a pickleball court too.  I loved walking the minutes across the border to Los Algodones or riding my Vespa the 20 to 30 minutes into Yuma.  Location . Location .  Location.  Great sunrises and sunset and healing dessert air.
I was kind of sad and lonely.  It was the outer reach of my journey and adventure. I was beginning the road
The drive here was at first on number 8 the freeway but then it was secondary roads and little towns and lots of agriculture.  I actually stopped for groceries in the Queen Market , in a little town that served the state prison there.  A little further on was Nilard .  They had steaks and pork I wanted. I saw there was a Vons , the great California grocery store like Safeway some 15 minutes further.  I had programmed my Ford GPS for Fountain of Youth RV park so followed that on.  Soon I saw
I’m here now.  Lots of old middle class sorts and some young Hollywood looking couples.  I passed the pools and it’s like a California Harris Hotsprings.  I’m one of the tribe of people who like hotsprings. We hike and kayak too.  There’s a touch of European healthy ‘taking the waters’ in the air.  It’s only 150 miles from LA so I could see making this a long weekend getaway.  I feel at home.  I’ve set up the camper and have the air conditioning going.  It’s so hot.  The Starlink it’s working which I’m thankful for.  Next week’s work is assured. I could stay another week giving how nice it is but I’m not committed.  I’m booked for a week and will see.  I just love the view of mountains over the dessert with the Salton Sea below them.  Blue sky.
I phoned George on the way here.  It was good talking with him. I’ve been missing the men’s group.  I see I’ve missed my Friday on line group but will be able to catch the Saturday morning on line.  I suspect they have some church service here. It’s got that cruise ship service flavor.  I must walk him and explore more. I could unload the Vespa since there’s places I could explore.  Right now I’m just looking forward to walking him so I can leave him in the camper with A/C while I take in the waters.  Healing minerals waters. I love it!!
I texted Laura to say she’d like this place. Sun tanning is here thing.  She aced the course in Saipan .  With a recliner and a book she was happy last year in Yuma.  Hopefully this summer we’ll get some hot camping time in.  I’ll hopefully have my boat and outboard back so maybe some time at the lake or on the ocean. But that’s then and this is now.  Time to focus.
Madigan has been sheriff barking out the screen door at a passing dog.
I’m so comfortable here with this  view and the a/c and my little pod home it’s hard to get mobilized.  But I will.  Time to get up
