I had walked Madigan and got away with a bang that had me stop to see if all was well. Just a bump on the road. Nothing damaged. My mirror was working great. The furnace had worked and then stopped. I couldn’t figure out what all the banging was inside.I’d taken down pictures and everything I could think of. The day before it had been alarms and now crashing and banging. Yesterday it was the shampoo bottles falling in the shower but today I solved the mystery. The wind was lifting and crashing the ceiling vent. After I tied that down we had quiet.
Then the only problem was the wide motorhome. I didn’t have much room in my lane. Only a foot or a foot and a half either side. Hard study keeping it centered. 6 lane traffic through Seattle and Tacoma. Fond fun memories of my friend Madeline who I visited when she lived in Seattle. I loved the bicycle rides. Now here I was rocketing through in this great sausage at 100 km an hour getting honked at only once.
I stopped for a bagel and egg at a truck stop. Not the best place but lots of from to park. I realized I’d lost my VISA. So back at the Thor I searched everywhere pretty certain it was lost inside. The irony was that when I searched the garbage I found my leatherman I was convinced I’d lost outside the day before. I found my Visa in the back pocket of my jeans after that.
I stopped in Tacoma RV and was treated royally by one of the salesmen. I wish I remembered his name. I told him that my furnace wasn’t working so he came out and went through the diagnostics taking off the panel and showing me how it worked and trouble shooting it as he went. He thought at last it could be an electronic board or the ignition switch. They didn’t have a service guy there but I bought the panel which might need replacing. It’s warmer today and last night was a great sleep with the vent open and the electric blanket. That’s what I’ll do and maybe in LA get a service guy or try to replace the electronic board. The incredible helpful and knowledgeable TAcoma RV salesman showed me how to I do it. He also gave me a whole group of other tips .
I drove through Olympia and enjoyed stopping at the rest stops to walk Madigan. I called ahead and was assured that there was vacancy at the Midway RV Park. This was Peter suggestion when we were walking Bella and Luka and Madigan. Great suggestion. The beautiful lady at the office was so friendly and delightful. They gave me a perfect drive through spot. It was Good Sam too. Peter says he and Larry put out their slides and make themselves comfortable. I’d not done that in Bellingham. After all the excitement and repairs I was just glad to turn in with the electric blanket keeping Madigan and I warm through the night. 6 straight hours of sleep.
Now I’ve put out the slide and have all this room. I love my motorhome. I even emptied the grey and black water tanks when I set up the electricity and water. They have wi fi but I put out my starlink. I sent pictures to Laura . I was able to watch pictures of the great nephews sledding in the snow too.
After a walk with Madigan who’s very anxious still though he ate two little Tiki dinners, I am having a healthy man microwave.
Time to eat and watch tv. I am so excited to be back on schedule following Peter and Larry’s schedule and route down I5. Yeasterday was a border crossing and repair day
What a great day!!! Thank you God . Thank you Holy Spirit. Thank you Jesus!
