Mayan Dance Theatre, Iberostar Paraiso Maya, Playa Del Carmen

This was a great performance by young dancers and musicians. It took us, the audience, through the major Mayan myth cycles leading up to and including the blood sacrifice for the return of the sun. Fertility and purification rites, Deer Dance, Eagle Dance, War Dance and Sacrifice. The dancers were most impressive when they spread out among the audience. Incredible costumes.
