Iquanas of Quanacaste, Costa Rica
I'm staying at the Hilton Papagayos on the Pacific Coast in Quanacaste. I've enjoyed seeing these harmless vegetarian iquanas around the grounds. These are pictures of a few of them ranging from 12 inches overall lengthen to one big boy with at least a 3 foot body and 6 foot overall. One boy was feeding one a slice of apple. Mostly they avoid humans as we are the threat, not them. The big one wouldn't let me get closer than a telephoto lens could bring me.
