Brooklyn's Finest

Richard Gere is incredible in this cop movie of cop movies. It's more like a Clint Eastwood role but Richard Gere with amazing diversity plays the burn out nearing retirement with still some blood left in him. Three cop movies in one, really with Ethan Hawke as the good Catholic cop troubled by ethics with twins on the way. Wesley Snipes blurs the line as the ever so deep under cover cop. All that was missing was Charles Bronson and Humphrey Bogart. Antoine Fuqua's direction keeps the writing of Michael C. Martin boring through you like a Dentist's drill or a Magnum bullet. Ellen Dwarkin plays mean FBI. Drugs, money, sex and violence. Add to that administrative corruption and what more could you want from a classic cop movie.
